I played a bit around season 2, couldn't get into it (found it dreadfully boring). Then my daughter expressed interest with season 3, so I jumped back in, set up the battle pass for both of us, we played for a few months before she lost interest in which I canceled the passes and haven't looked back. The game itself is ok, but like most fremium games it's mainly just a cash grab.
Questionable choice in music for the trailer aside, the game looks like it has some degree of potential behind it. A metroidvania style PoP game seems like a no brainier. I may check it out when it comes out.
The only one of these I was ever interested in was 3 and that was only because it was the first time it got a proper 2D remake. However with the experience multiplier I might be worth it to also check out 2 so it won't be as much of a slog. However that pricing hurts a lot. Even for the 2 games you're looking at $30 ($11.99 for 2 and $17.99 for 3) so you might as well drop the $79.99 for the bundle. Honestly that pricing doesn't justify the bundle when outside of the graphics and sound being updated, it's a really bare bones package that lacks so much of the added content in previous ports. $30 - $40 is reasonable for this collection, but Squarenix knows that people will drop $80 for the whole set at launch. I'll probably wait until it goes on sale in a few months, since more than likely it will.
Depends on how much time I have but for the moment I'll likely be playing Mega Man Maker (PC) and Secret of Mana either the SNES version from the Collection of Mana on the remake on PS4 (I'm playing them at the same time for comparison purposes)
Considering that these remasters don't add anything of note outside of updated graphics and sound, there really isn't anything worth noting here, especially since there are other editions out there that aren't this bare bones. I get these are just the pixel remasters, but the bonus content added to 1 & 2 in previous editions, IV the After years, and even some of the added job classes to V would have been more than welcomed. I can't justify the price for a bare bones collection. The only one I'll probably grab is 3 simply because this is the only way to play it in classic 2D that isn't pirated.
I have a few that come to mind, the first being Rambo on the NES. Gameplay is standard, the animations for the cutscenes are cringe worthy, but damn it if it doesn't have a great great score at points, and I always had a good time with it.
The second is Battle Arena Toshinden for PSX. For a fighting game the characters aren't the most memorable, had your typical tropes, graphically has aged badly, but it had a killer score, and it was the game that won me over on the PlayStation.
A strictly internal Capcom vs Capcom fighting game would be fun, and as mentioned the legions of characters it could utilize would be great. Personally I would love to see Agrippa from the criminally underrated Shadow of Rome make an appearance as it would be another nod to some of the countless classics they've made over the years.
Overall this is a cool collection, though it is incomplete without the DS version of 5, Battle Chip Challenge, and Network Transmission. Still for a core collection it's pretty solid. I'll still get it
So a batch of games that no one asked for, and they probably licensed on the cheap. It's cool that they keep adding to the service but if they want to keep people interested they have drop games people actually care about, and if that means forking over the money to do so, than so be it. This crop of games is as generic as it gets, and all it does is drive people away from the service.

Re: Poll: Do You Actually Want Switch Ports Of Wind Waker And Twilight Princess?
I wouldn't mind a Twilight Princess remake or even rerelease on the Switch since I've missed the opportunity to play that one.
Re: Nightdive Apparently Has "A Few More" FPS Remasters On The Way
@BloodNinja nope, no touch ups at all.
Re: Nightdive Apparently Has "A Few More" FPS Remasters On The Way
I know this one was for PC, but if they ported Blood: Fresh Supply to home consoles, im getting it day 1.
