@Kalmaro This was largely in part due to the forced Wii motion controls of the original version. Since they're now removed in favour of classic analogue control it is now simply a "mid-tier" Monkey Ball game.
I would have much prefered a combo pack of SMB 1&2 but I like the series a lot and want to see some new titles in the franchise so I'm happy to support this since the solo mode is actually pretty good in this one.
@jcvandan You'll be happy to hear Sunless Skies is a lot more accessible than Sunless Seas IMO. Nowhere near as punishing, if you liked Seas, you'll love Skies.
5th place is honestly quite respectable for a Fitness game in this day and age. Will be interesting to track its success over the holiday season. It has the potential to be a sleeper hit.
This undoubtedly awful and Nintendo dipping their toes into subscription-style games should be quite worrying to all of us.
Because in spite of the vast majority of us voicing our displeasure about it, this is going to make A LOT of money and when a full-priced retail game earns a fraction of the total of a freemium/subscription mobile game, well.... bad things are on the horizon.
After recently travelling abroad on a holiday I've come to the conclusion that while the base Switch is fine for portable use at home, I think it's a bit too big and cumbersome for taking in a backpack and using on a train, plane etc.
I think the size of the Lite is perfect for me who is out and about a bit more often. Nice that theres options at least.
There's always room for more games in the vein of classic 3D Zelda. I'll keep my expectations in check but I'm happy to keep an eye on the game going forward and I hope it turns out to be a pretty good Zelda clone.
@Razer That's completely fair and I respect your opinion as you do mine.
I just tend to see a lot of similar comments surrounding a games value & quality vs its length and price.
Some folks are quick to dismiss it based on that alone, and while it's a valid reason its not always so black and white.
It's like paying 15 bucks to go on a big rollercoaster that lasts 3 minutes or paying 20 bucks to see a film that lasts 2 hours.
It's hard to quantify the value and enjoyment each person will get and I think small teams making these games are entitled to charge a premium for great ideas and experiences if that's what they believe its worth.
I do see your point of view though, just offering my own perspective to people interested in the game.
Superhot and many other short games (Donut County etc.) have been some of the best gaming experiences I've had in a long time.
While I can understand people not wanting to drop that amount of cash for a game that's 1 or 2 hours, the length and cost does not factor into the overall quality of the experience. I can't imagine how many people might miss out on some of the best games they'll ever play just because they're shorter and cost a marginal amount more than they believe they should cost. It's a shame.

Looks cute, like a combo of Resi and Zombies Ate My Neighbours.
Re: Spike Chunsoft Slashes Prices Of Its Entire Library On Nintendo Switch eShop
PixelJunk Monsters 2 is certainly worth a try at that price. Very fun game
Re: FutureGrind Dev Slashes Switch eShop Price After Disappointing Sales
@Manzoli Are we still judging the quality of games based on how they look vs... I dunno literally any other factor?
Open your mind
Re: Streets Of Rage 4 Will Get A Physical Release Thanks To Limited Run Games
@MsJubilee Sure, just invent a more cost effective and developer friendly way to release games physically.

Re: Review: Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD - Improved Controls Ruined By Some Odd Design Choices
@Deltath Those cut party games are trash, if anything they probably would have earned this game a lower score if they were included.

Re: Review: Sayonara Wild Hearts - A Marvellous, Music-Driven Masterpiece
"Cons - It has to eventually end"
Well, that's a sneaky pro (joy) if I ever heard one.
The game sounds right up my alley, can't wait to give it a try.

Really loved the look of this game from all the trailers, glad to see it turned out good.
Re: Disgruntled Gamers Are Review-Bombing Astral Chain On Metacritic
You can't trust people to behave normally on the internet. We've gone way beyond that point.
Just scrap user reviews tbh, this is happening way too often.
Re: Video: Google Play Pulls Out All The Stops For Its Manic Mario Kart Tour Trailer
@Multi Early reports from the beta say its pretty heavy on the Microtransactions but the game itself plays well and looks quite nice.
Will have to wait for launch to see for ourselves but I'm on the fence for now. Doesn't cost anything to try at least.
