Update - Tue 22nd Oct, 2019 12:00 BST: Chart compilers GfK Chart-Track have reissued yesterday's UK Charts with a couple of corrections to the All-Formats sales ranking. It seems that Nintendo's Ring Fit Adventure debuted not at fifth as previously reported, but in an even healthier third place.
The rest of the list remains largely unchanged (Plants Vs Zombies and Minecraft swap places in 6th and 7th). Good news for Nintendo, then. Here's the whole revised chart:

Original Story - Mon 21st Oct, 2019 11:00 BST: UK chart data is now in for the week ending 19th October, revealing that FIFA 20 has managed to stay at the top of the league for the fourth week in a row.
In an interesting week for Nintendo, evergreen title Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has managed to steal another place from the competition, boosting itself into second spot, while new release Ring Fit Adventure has had a decent launch in fifth position.
The Switch release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt also helped the game to jump right back into the charts this week. 96% of the game's sales were on Nintendo's platform this week thanks to the new launch.

I am pleasantly surprised to see The Witcher 3 make it into the top 10, let alone 4th position. That is impressive. I hope the port sells well enough for CD Project Red and perhaps others to realise the potential in getting their games onto the system - assuming said ports are done well.
Considering that Ring-Fit Adventure is fairly expensive that's a pretty good performance.
5th place is honestly quite respectable for a Fitness game in this day and age. Will be interesting to track its success over the holiday season. It has the potential to be a sleeper hit.
Looks like Mario Kart Tour is working as intended
What are peoples opinions on Switcher? I already have the game on PS4 but am so tempted by the portability factor. Also Ringfit adventure has been a pleasant surprise so far, I'm a fitness consultant and it's definitely make me catch my breath! 😂
I still hold that it's required by law for Brits to buy FIFA because of corrupt politicians bribed by EA. As well as it required by law that no one acknowledge that is the real reason it sells so well in the UK.
@dirtymike1991 I haven't started it yet, but I've heard mixed things about the port. Some people seem very very happy with it, but others quite the opposite. You might want to see if you can find a chance to try it yourself.
@Heavyarms55 You are correct, I am currently on the run from the FIFA Police, a special branch of the UK police who enforce this particular law.
That isn't too bad a week. I think I will get Ring-Fit Adventure soon.
@MS7000 I hope you're using a VPN, or you just gave yourself away!
@countzero
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has been in the top 10 nearly every week this past year. I doubt that mobile "game" has had anything to do with it.
@dirtymike1991 @Heavyarms55 It does not get “mixed reception” by far. This is an excellent port, both in handheld and docked, and highly stable. Most reviewers and even internet people agree on that. It’s obvious that they did the best they could do on Switch, so if you want a portable Witcher and don’t expect HD 60fps from the Switch you can safely go for this version.
If you don’t believe me, open some gameplay footage on the Switch YouTube app (but recent one by customers, it seems the reviewers got some older version as docked is quite fine actually).
I think Ring Fit Adventure would have performed a little better if it had been "branded", for lack of a better word, I guess, rather than it being marketed with such a generic title and aesthetic. Even something like Switch Ring Adventure or Switch Fit Quest, while hardly the most inspired of names, may have helped sell a tad better.
Come to think of it, a fitness-themed WarioWare game could be absolutely brilliant. WarioWare: Flabulous? WarioWare: Now Fat Free?
Wii Sports/Music/Fit/Party all had the advantage of using the distinctive branding of Wii to sell themselves. I doubt that Ring Fit will do as well as similar titles on Wii, but I think there is still time for Switch to win back much of the casual audience that had since been lost to mobile since the glory days of the DS/Wii era (and perhaps the toxicity of mobile gambling may be a mixed blessing).
I suppose time will tell. Ring Fit Adventure seems to be doing reasonably well considering the relatively high cost of entry.
@Heavyarms55 Damn I forgot! If I am caught, my punishment will be to play nothing but FIFA for the rest of my days in solitary confinement. That is a fate worse than death!
@Silly_G "WarioWare: Flabulous"! haha!
@Silly_G I think they should have called it Adventure Ring Switch Evolution.
@dirtymike1991 Witcher 3 is very good.
@ashaka Hey say what you want, but I have seen a lot of people happy with it and a lot of people very much not. You can try and deny that, but the port does have a sizable number of detractors and it's why I said they should try the game for themself and decide.
Ring Fit doing well - fitness is a big thing these days so expect it will have a good run over the Xmas holidays.
Smashing performance for Witcher though. Yes it has some sacrifices made but it's still a truly brilliant game and well priced over. Handheld mode is astonishing and long may these ports continue!
@Heavyarms55 Most people are satisfied with the Switcher, or even very impressed. There are some people for whom the resolution outside cutscenes is too low, or who would rather have acuity over hiding the lower res textures with lower resolution. But there is no 50/50 “mixed” split of opinions here. Most people are really happy about having this well-made portable version.
You mentioned you “haven’t started it yourself” yet...
Ring Fit Adventure debuted with sales roughly half of that of Labo Kit 1's debut.
It's not an amazing start, but unlike Labo, the holidays are approaching, so it will have much better legs than Labo Kit 1 (or any of the other Labo Kits). The question is: how good will its legs be?
Switcher 3 debuted with sales roughly the same as Skyrim Switch debut, though the latter launched during the November holidays while the former launched much earlier.
5th is great for a genre many gamers thought was a fad. I’m enjoying it although switcher has limited my ring fitness so far.
@Heavyarms55 your dire fate has me imagining a new ending to Eternal Darkness involving the FIFA guardian, a copy of sub par FIFA20 and match sticks for eyeballs. Eternally Bored in FIFA darkness.
Disclaimer: I actually enjoy the odd game of FIFA.
@gwyntendo This is an excellent joke, but I really believe this could an evergreen title. The balance board didn't lend itself to traditional games. If this is a hit, titles like the one you mentioned are very much on the table. Heck, playing DQ11, I find myself thinking "this attack could have an ab crunch associated with it."
Ring Fit Adventure is performing pretty nicely, considering the higher price point. And it deserves to perform nicely! It’s such a fun game, and it actually has me excited to exercise!
@beazlen1 I don't necessarily dislike FIFA. My issue is more with EA and their dirty, anti-consumer, anti-competition business practices. If anything, I sympathize with sports fans despite personally not liking sports myself. They have only one choice if they want to play a sports game with the real licensed teams. It's not like some other company can release another football game or American football game, or ice hockey or whichever to keep EA honest - they have exclusive contracts with the leagues.
Sure, other companies could release games without any of the official teams or players - but that would be like making a Dragon Quest game without any of the iconic monsters. A Mario game without any of the Mario characters, a Pokemon game without any of the iconic Pokemon. Maybe if could be done, and done well, but it's just not the same.
I just like to joke about how it's always popular in the UK despite everything negative that has tainted the series.
@ashaka I said it was mixed and that's a true statement. I never said it was a perfect or near perfect 50/50 split. But it's also not the near universally positive praise you seem to want to think it's getting. To disregard the dissenting opinions is flatly dishonest. There is a decent number of people saying that they aren't happy with the performance of the port. That's what I said, and I do mean, that people should try the game for themself before deciding if they are unsure. Personally, I chose to trust it would run well and gave it a chance blindly - that's because I have enough disposable income that if I end up disappointed - life goes on. But for many people if they go out and buy a full price new game and it's not what they want - they're out of luck and it will be a while before they can afford to buy something else.
Good news for both Witcher 3 and Ring Fit. 👍
@Silly_G WarioWare: Flabulous sounds awesome, it could have a more comical approach towards exercise.
The Witcher 3 has done very well for the Switch.
Didn't know there was a new PvZ game out, looks like it didn't do too well.
Good to see CD Projekt Red succeed with the Witcher 3 Switch port!
Good result for both. Both have been well received so it’s nice to see them doing well
Good, glad to see Witcher 3 is up in a respectable position for a several year old port.
I'm both surprised and slightly amused that Mario Kart 8 is preparing a blue shell for Fifa 20.
Then again somehow GTA V is still in the top 10 as well,
despite being 7 years old.
Again like always NEW GAMES ALWAYS GO FIRST!
I'm glad the Witcher III is doing well again.
With the chart update, it seems like Ring Fit Adventure sold on par with Labo Kit 1 at launch.
Again, the results are far from amazing, but its the legs that will matter, especially as we approach the holiday season.
