As a general rule, I don't pre-order unless it is a series I really like or a publisher whose titles I know well enough to take the gamble. Atelier is fits into both categories. Oh and @BizzareJelly28980, you don't need to worry, each Atelier trilogy is basically self-contained.
My biggest concern with news like this is what does it mean for non-pirate homebrewers? Is Nintendo going start coming after SciresM and the Atmosphere devs next? Or are they all safe because they do not use any of Nintendo's code like TX so idiotically did?
The RoA modding community is awesome and while there is a lot of trash on the workshop, there is also a lot of high quality mods too. Good picks for inclusion into the base game all around, I have played with all of them except Hodan.
Sounds to me like bots at work. It really is a shame, though. I went into Balan Wonderworld without having read any reviews and I thought it was good despite its technical issues.
@Friendly I am so happy somebody else remembers Lufia! Sometimes I feel like I am only person that remembers that series outside of the groups that make romhacks.
While there was a few disappointments, over all the Direct was outstanding in my opinion. Lots of announcements to be excited about, such as the Famicom Detective Club games, SaGa Frontier, Samurai Warriors 5, Miitopia, and so on and more news for MH Rise and confirmation that BOTW 2 is still going (which was a big relief to me). Skyward Sword HD was a total surprise, but one worth looking forward to.
The big question is will this be the game to break K-T's streak of making better Warriors games for other companies then they make for themselves. Personally, I really want it to be good, but that probably has to do with my fondness for Samurai Warriors as a series and the period of history on which the games are based.
A surprise to see this announced, but a very pleasant one honestly. Miitopia is one of those games that ended up being better then it has any right to be. I am going to wait and see if the added content is worth it before pursuing this game after release.
This, for me, was the BEST part of the direct. I imported the Super Nintendo version of the second game to play the Tomato and Demiforce fan translation way back and have fond memories of it. I am very much looking forward to these remakes.
Koei-Tecmo has had this really weird streak lately where the Dynasty Warriors-themed spin-offs of other franchises are better then K-T's own offerings. AoC continues that trend and I am happy see it is getting more content, but I am going to hold off on getting this until a later time.
Dynasty Wars and Warriors of Fate are the big attractions for me. I am actually really hoping to see Destiny of an Emperor on the NES as part of NSO someday.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is such an awesome game, so I am more then happy to see Pyra 'n Mythra get into Smash. I actually thought it was a XC2 DLC announcement at first, though.
The only truly disappointing part of the broadcast, not surprising though and at least this news brought us the much happier news of Skyward Sword getting on the Switch.
Honestly, that Nintendo Direct was much better then I was expecting. Only a few really meh titles in the line up. Glad to see to see this game finally get out of Apple Arcade.

Re: Video: Here's An Extended Look At The Miitopia Port For Nintendo Switch
Ah, Miitopia! One of those games that is both really stupid and really fun all at once. Definitely looking forward to seeing this again on the Switch.

@Whitestrider Good point! Can't believe I let that slip my mind. WO4U was a pretty good return to form for Koei.
