Definitely agree with the score, found it so boring even when it was new, the giant T-rex boss was pretty impressive looking at the time mind you its sequel was much better but still always felt there where far better console FPS's out there than the Turok games.

A new controller with the aim of making menu's easier, seems a bit pointless to me.

Nothing controversial about what he is saying there, would have to say I even agree with him for the most part, I wouldn't write the wii u off just yet, but I might if the 3rd party situation doesn't improve, Zelda is my fav game franchise of all time but the vast majority of nintendo 1st party games I can take or leave so not worth me buying a wii u if its essentially 1st party only.

Really liked it on DS and like it for 3DS too, but honestly when the wii u gamepad was unveiled I was really disappointed that they would bring that to a console, seems much better suited to handheld gaming imo and think I prefer pointer controls to touch screen for playing on TV.

Still my fav 8 bit platform game of all time, mostly played it on the master system rather than gamegear though

Ouya wont mean there will be any more piracy than there already is, also emulators themselves aren't illegal, the main site for ouya games page shows the emulators but the only links to roms where for homebrew stuff as far as I could see, not to roms for commercial games, will that be what most people use them for, probably not but I don't see how nintendo or any one else can remove the actual emulators.

Not sure what I would suggest to add to the SSB series to make it better, but honestly don't think an expanded roster is the answer.

As tough as this game is , which it is, compared to puyo puyo 2 the AI is tame can't even get passed the 2nd level on puyo puyo 2 though I have beaten mean bean machine

I think the 3rd party support might actually turn out to be worse on wii u than it was on wii to be honest, but its still early days yet really so wouldn't write the console off quite yet

The games I was most interested in wii u wise where X and WW HD which both looked great, not exactly surprising but still nice all the same, as for SSB, MK8 and the 3D Mario none of those interested me personally, mostly this E3 just reinforced my putting off buying a wii u, which is fine by me let me catch up on some 3DS games.

I'm always up for more zelda as its my fav game series period, so of course I'm in favour of dlc, to say otherwise is just plain crazy as far as I'm concerned.

@LunaticPandora the site aims to review every downloadable game, that's why there are repeat reviews, just part of what the site tries to do, maybe because there might be slight differences due to platform, like SMB supposedly running in 60hz on 3DS's in Europe but in 50hz on console versions, pretty rare but it happens

@SCAR392 as big a hit as SSB is, I really don't think nintendo can disallow it to sell poorly, not that I predict it will besides my understanding is namco is doing most of the work on that right now.

I do wonder if Mario would shift more copies on a sony or microsoft console than it can on its own consoles, it just might.

well part of why the PS3 took of was the huge price drops they introduced, wii u didn't start at such a high price so I doubt it can increase sales to the same extent, I mean if they cut it by same difference as PS3 they'd probably be giving wii u away for free near enough, wii u just doesn't seem to have the same ability to cut its price in the same way especially in the current economic climate.

Gamecube had Zelda(my fav game series btw), a 3D Mario and Mario kart too still didn't help it set any sort of record in terms of console sales though, I think if nintendo start seriously talking about moving onto a new console in 2 years or so I think that would probably be a sign wii u has bombed, as sega started publicising they where moving on from saturn way before sony or nintendo and that was due largely to the failure of that console catching on.

The 3rd party exodus from wii u is pretty telling, wouldn't be surprised if there where more games in development for PS3 and 360 both of which are due to be replaced, than there are for the wii u right now, whether wii u succeeds or fails wont affect the fact that it will still get strong 1st party support like zelda etc, so it should still be fun to own all the same

Unlike PS3 which also had a slow start wii u didn't start with a near neo goe price tag for its console, really don't think wii u has the same room to maneuver in terms of price, unlike 3DS I really don't see wii u being able to bounce back I'm afraid.

Played a little over an hour of it and as a Zelda and classic FF fan its been amazing so far, just wish it had gamepad support on PC.

My first reaction to seeing the wii u pad was disappointment, not sure what I envisioned for my next gaming console but touch screen definitely wasn't it, there aren't a lot of wii games that I played and thought I know what would make this better touch screen controls, I do like it for maps and menu's but not exactly anything to get excited about imo.

Sounds like physical copies came and went faster than the wii u's 3rd party support

idk SSB sold a ton on GC but didn't exactly propel the GC's sales anywhere near those of PS2's, not sure a single game is going to magically turn around wii u's fortunes, even if its sales do remain low though I doubt the prospects of any other console are going to be hugely better with the economy and all.

Too bad Fez wont be making to a nintendo system an original platformer is exactly what's been missing for a few years on nintendo systems, nintendo fans are missing out big time yet again.

Pretty sure at least one of those emulators was backed on kickstarter, so if they can sue them which I honestly have no clue if they actually can or not, I'm guessing probably not, the people that made it shouldn't be too hard to find.

Actually looking forward to ouya a lot more than I am the wii u to be honest, as for the emulation thing ouya is hardly likely to increase piracy any more than it is right now, people that want to do that most likely already have the means to do so

nobody is forced to praise nintendo by coming here btw pointing out what you perceive as its mistakes or flaws is not trolling, as for the article I do think the 3DS is kinda gimmicky the 3D is a neat feature but doesn't really add anything imo, dual screen is kinda gimmicky too though I've grown quite fond of that one, OOT3D put it to good use for example, gimmicky doesn't have to = bad

always wanted this on saturn but seemed way too pricey, at a little over £10 though this is a no brainer

Have this on steam and it gets real tough real fast, or at least that's how I'm finding it.

Super Paper Mario and sticker star seemed to be quite divisive too.

well that would make it twice as popular as GC at the end of its cycle, at least I think so anyway, in a 5 year period or so I think that might be do-able, don't expect PS4 or nextbox to fare much better mind you.

to those that say people buy nintendo for the games, yes they do, but so do people that buy xbox's, playstations or any other console they aren't buying them as ornaments.

@eirikrto be fair wii u isn't exactly flying of the shelves either so its not just vita that is of to a slow start and even 3DS hasn't been selling greatly outside of Japan it seems, I'm sure wii u and vita will be able to turn that around eventually though.

I t was made out that the leap wouldn't be as big as previously but I was really impressed with its visuals at least, deep down looked quite a bit better visually than any current console I thought.

will be waiting until E3 to make my mind up what console I'll be getting this gen, wii u hasn't made me want to rush out and buy so far though the promise of monolith RPG and WW HD means I'm definitely considering it, also want to see steambox actually is and how nextbox shapes up, if its kinect centric though that will be automatic pass for me but will have to wait and see for now.

get your target audience to know about the product, if that's the aim you have to admit they are doing better than wii u so far and PS4 isn't even officially announced so far
