@RockDXebec I figured "surprise mechanics" would be the reason why, but I feel an official clarification from the developers would be appropriate if that ends up being the case. Oh well. Hopefully one day.
I'd love for this to happen if only for the possibility that it would develop a better relationship between the two companies. A lot of possibility for great collaborations there.
I'd absolutely get the Mass Effect and Dragon Age trilogies if they were to be released for Switch. EA overall doesn't release that many great games anymore, but they've got a few gems in their old backlog that are worth playing again. Mass Effect 2 still remains my favourite game of all time, how I'd love to play it on the go.
While I agree with everyone's sentiments here, I can also understand the appeal of having more Cuphead-style gameplay available for those who are craving more of the game. Very curious if this game will face any legal obstacles.
@gamer89 The difference is that Nier: Automata isn't exclusive to a single platform, nor funded by Microsoft or Sony, while Astral Chain is a Switch exclusive published by Nintendo. If Nintendo fans were begging for a PlayStation or Microsoft exclusive, the situations would be comparable. I get where you're coming from, but considering there is a completely different context, I don't see what's sad about this.
The Switch to me is basically the platform I'd love to have all platformers, indies, JRPGs and other weird Japanese games on, and Nier: Automata is at the top of my list to get the Switch port treatment. Really hoping this will happen!
Would also love to see Vanquish get a second shot at life on the Switch.
I hope it's less like Odyssey and more like their previous open world style games, but it's obviously not going to be the case. Odyssey's world is just too big with a lot of elements in the world looking the exact same, side quests are repetitive, raiding forts and killing mercenaries stops being fun quick, and the animation quality took a huge turn for the worse to make way for the unnecessary dialogue system.
I've never been opposed to Ubisoft's open worlds and would continue to enjoy them, but Odyssey (and Origins to a lesser extent) really crossed the boundaries for me.
While I love Dragon Ball, I really don't see why he needs to be in Smash and why people want him in so passionately. Surely people realise the entire Smash roster is made up out of exclusively video game characters. I'd much rather give spotlight to characters that deserve it a lot more, particularly some classic video game characters or ones from more recent indies.
Not super excited for this one, but will give Double Fine the benefit of the doubt. I'm sure it's not a priority for them, but I'm most looking forward to the announcement of a Switch release for Psychonauts 2 from them.
I've been wanting to see DMC on the Switch for ages, seeing this get a separate release at what is sure to be an insanely high price is definitely disappointing. I cannot imagine they will charge only 15 bucks for this when Onimusha: Warlords was already 20.
If the release of the other DMC games on the Switch rides solely on the success of this sure-to-be expensive release on the first game then that's definitely disappointing.
Great news. Can only hope that in time the whole series will make its way to the Switch. Holding out hope for the Devil May Cry HD collection to make its way over as well.

I'm in the Netherlands. It's been three days since its release and it's still not available on the eShop.

Re: Ice Age: Scrat’s Nutty Adventure Scuttles Onto Switch This October
Looking pretty good, and it's not some bad movie tie-in. I'm hopeful this will be a good time.
Re: Random: These 3D Concepts Have Us Dreaming Of A Nindie amiibo Line
Damn. I've never bought an amiibo before, but these I would actually grab.
