Has Nintendo completely abandoned the Virtual Console? All I see are sub-par Wiiware and DSIware releases. Last thing I bought on VC was Wild Guns. Nintendo still has a whole Library of N64 games to go through. We could use some more Neo-Geo
This kind of sucks, I have all three games, DP:E couldve used a more powerful starting gun (i'm a sissy that way) but other than that I enjoyed all three titles quite a bit. It's a shame Sega doesnt want to continue
I think it looks great, old school sidescrolling Castlevania action at its near finest. (Castlevania 4 is still the king)
@ aaronsullivan I know what you mean. While I am not against the metroidvania style many of the games took, it does have some problems. The extreme backtacking can get old after a bit, and if you go long periods of time without playing the game, then suddenly dive into it, you can be overwhelmingly lost. Last night I decided to play more of Aria of Sorrow, been almost a year since I turned it on, and when I did, and opened the map, i was all "..... where was I going?" I had forgotten I completed most of the map, and had no idea where I was heading since last time. I just wish they would allow you to use the whip in all directions and jump onto the stairs like in SCV4. But this is more of a remake then a completely new Castlevania, and those features werent in the GB games. The only REAL complaint I have is the timer seems a bit merciless. The player barely finished the first stage with time to spare. Regardless, I'm DLing this the minute it becomes available.
My family went through 2 PS2s, first one my sister dropped, second one my brother installed a mod chip that went wrong. 3rd PS2 was my brothers but I bought it form him, so he could justify a PS2 slim. No problems with that one.
I've had my Wii since launch, only issue I had was once in a blue moon it will get stuck in between going from shop to main menu, so I have to unplug it.
No issues with my PS3, replaced the HDD from a 40 (i think) to a 250. Only concern with that is the motor gets really load from time to time, thats when I turn it off for the night.
I think the Natal project would be better served as a media tool for browsing, like it was shown in the last minute or so of the demo. Of course its exciting to think about how advanced video games are becoming, but just because its new, exciting, and revolutionary, doesnt mean its going to work. The Wiimote was a huge gamble. But, we'll see how it turns out.
I'm kind of happy, yet kind of sad. Happy because I knew this was going to be bad, especially when the guy behind Stomp the Yard was directing it. But I'm kind of sad because it would have been slightly cool to see my favorite franchise on the screen. So heres a thought, lets take all (if there was any) money that the movie had in its budget, and make a decent game for the PS3, X360, and Wii
YES!!!! I LOVE Ju-On just the idea of the man behind those movies being involved with a Wii game gets me scared. @Danman I dont get all the hate for grudge 2. Yes it wasnt as good as the first, but there were some creepy moments in it. But if you didnt like it, dont watch the Japanese version. Grudge 1 and 2 is actually a more in depth take of Ju-On. Not to mention, they leave a lot up to the viewers interpretation. So essentially Grudge 1 and 2 are sometimes seen as a dumbed down version of the movie.
I'll be skipping this, Nyko already gave me a good solution with thier clip on grip for the CC. I buy one of those for every CC i own. This just looks odd.
I'm all for Castlevania III. I can wait a bit longer for Rhondo of Blood, seeing that I own it on the PSP. Not saying I dont want to original on the big screen (as opposed to PSPs screen), just saying I would LOVE Castlevania III
I can hear the Angels singing, yes....YES finally we have SMRPG. ..... Now we can all grumble about why Earthbound isnt released yet Next on my wishlist, Blaster Master, Castlevania III, and Double Dragon 2
@ That Guy from Faxanadu What you should do is wait for Q4, Nintendo is releasing a Neo-Geo collection (the same one the PS2 got last week) then. And I belive all the games that is out for the NG now, will be on the disk, and more.
At first I was a little peeved about this, but I figured; 'Meh, maybe Nintendo didnt know about it at the time' so I'm at a little bit of a loss at who I should be upset with for not annoucing that game sooner.
"Statistically speaking, it is true that there are a small number of customers who feel that the flash memory is too small"
B*LLSH*T!!!! its not a small ammount of people, its just about EVERY person who owns a Wii. I love the Wii, to the point that I dance with it every day. I dont care that it doesnt have a DVD player, and I dont care that it doesnt have 1080 resolution (or 720 for that matter) the biggest reason I bought the Wii was for the VC. I know other people have other complaintes, but the most common one is the lack of a Hard drive.
I remeber one of these cabinents being in a Ice Cream Parlor, never, and I mean never passed the first level. After watching "King of Kong" I been playing this game nonstop, even bought the Wii Fighting stick for this. makes a world of differance. This is THE arcade game, all about timing and skill.
Yaaaaay Double Dragon. I have many memories of playing this game in the arcade in my Uncle's bowling alley. Was challenging to me back then. Never played the NES port, so we'll see how it fares. REALLY want Double Dragon II though, one thing at a time, one thing at a time.

I'll more than likely get this. I just hope this will have Classic controller support. That way I can use a Hori stick

Re: Nintendo Download: Zombies, Ghosts, Monkeys, Axes, Royal Bluffs and Even More Sudoku (US)
ZAMN is good and all, but Castlevania would've been the best start to this week.
Re: Solitary Castlevania Rebirth Screenshot Rises From Its Grave

Re: Uncharted Waters: New Horizons
on the one hand, im not fond of strategies, on the other hand this looks VERY interesting.
Re: Ghostbusters Wii to feature exclusive co-op play
hmmm, this might break my rule of multi console games.
I own a Wii and PS3, and my rule goes: If it comes out for all platforms, get it for the PS3, more often then not it will play better on there.
Case in point, for me was Marvel Ultimate Alliance.
Course there are times when the Wii has the slight edge, like with Onechanbara.
And of course times when the game fails on all consoles, Spider-Man 3
I'll give both versions a rent before making a buy.
Re: Former King of Kong to Appear at E3
Awesome! Go Wiebe, rooting for you all the way
Re: International Karate
Someone correct me, but wasnt there a NES port of this as well? That one I played for hours on end

Double Dragon. I have many memories of playing this game in the arcade in my Uncle's bowling alley. Was challenging to me back then. Never played the NES port, so we'll see how it fares.
