@43. Faron the best of all time ? seriously, its that good ? because there is tons of older titles that are considered best rpg of all time, like final fantasy 6-7, dragonquest 7, star ocean... makes me wanna get a used Wii for this title. then resell it when im done
not sure why it sells. i tried the demo and it was.... worthless. dsiwares titles are more sophisticated than this.
comon, this is like a microgames game, but boring. What about the shooting range. Click on R 5 times in a row and youre done. without thinking. just click when it says so. What about the soccer thing. it could have been nice to play, but... all you need to do is push directional button at the right time.
no really, dont get caught because there is mario or sonic in there. the game wants your money and thats about it. there is 0 freedom or 0 sense of a sport there. Again, very young audience might find it fun for an afternoon or so.
@TikiTong man, dont forget the humongous Skyrim. This is one hell of a huge game.
what did you expect from MW3 Wii. a shooter on the Wii other than metroid is ridiculous. unless its something cartooney or with aliens, i dont even see how developpers care for the Wii. Wii is good for childish or bright and simple graphics, but not for realistic graphics.
got it this week-end. im VERY satisfied with it. It has the nintendo seal of quality, its funny. got a lot of cotnent to unlock, streetpass stuff. and its simply fun. nothing too big, nothing too complicated. jsut fun! get this one, its a worthy eshop title.
majoras mask will be an instant buy. i never had a chance to play it, my n64 broke before it.
if its link to the past, well...not gonna buy. i mean, i did it so many times. even if it features 3D effect or a bonus dungeon. please make it majora mask. pleeeaaasseearghll even twilight princess would be an instant buy
the kind of game that will gain value over time. keep these figures, because in a few years, theyre gonna much rarer to get, and collectors will be willing to pay for this.
i loved it when i was younger. cant say i will today, but ill get it for the nostalgia around it. its a title i remember a lot from the gameboy era, and there isnt a lot of them.
but not knowing it first, i would never ever buy it. i remember it was hard, very hard. bouncy too. too bouncy.
i have no 3ds friends ill browse the update for sure, but... they cut the online features from their games, what will we do with this feature anyway. i would have had a blast with star fox, but i had to sold it for the lack of online multiplayer. i would have used it on street fighter, but it was lame to play online with it. i would have used it for sure with monster hunter tri but... they removed the online feature ! no, they simply didnt want to put it in !
DLC is fun, but will it also feature full retail games as a downloadable version ? DLgames are somewhat cheaper than physical copies, and this will mean closer to what i expect to be a fair price to a 3ds game.
@RVN true. and yet they seem to go into the gadget again with the WiiU. same goes with the 3DS.
the 3ds is saved by the backward compatibility and the huge library of DS games before it. since i didnt get much ds titles over the years, i still have good meat to bite on while waiting for 3ds games to come out.
ah! this is the doomed faith of the 3DS so far. hamburger games. i thought mario would be different...lets see about it in a couple of weeks, after reviews ans users appreciation. i wont buy it day one. i just hope they wont do this in super smash bros 3ds
@spookybif true. they already entered something risky with the Wii. they shouldnt do more damage now and go for the mean powerhouse machine nintendo needs. seriously. if nintendo can have a powerful thing that will attract third parties plus their franchised charatcers, tis one hell of a winner. kinda a mix of ps3 and nintendo.
ill stick with the 3ds, hoping nintendo wont suffer too much from their mistake and give us great deals on the handheld side. handheld is the future of nintendo.
hahahahaha well this isnt the thing that will make nintendo rank up in charts wether you like it or not, graphic power will still dominate, as with physics technology so the consoles will be able to have complex games and the titles with the biggest productions.
@Ryno hahaha so true i have high hopes for the 3DS. nintendo still has a powerful hand into the handheld market. theyre the best. just started slow with the new gen. the ps3 did so, and to me, its the best out there now.
because to me, the handheld is not meant for huge detailed graphics like a ps3. its meant to be quick gaming, fun, innovative and new stuff. so far, thats what theyre doing. slowly yeah, but surely. But really...nintendo loss the home console war, get over it and support the 3DS instead!

screw the WiiU ! focus on the 3DS ! nintendo should become a handheld focused game company. Geez , and cut theg ames prices. 30-35 should be the maximum. unless they release and real deep game, i wouldnt mind paying 45 or 50 dollars for the next final fnatasy or dragonquest. but that price for starfox was abusive and didnt pleased me much. i paid less than this for regular DS games that provided me ton more gameplay and replay value.
the real problems are simple; they didnt go for the 2 winning condition in videogaming:
1- horsepower for home consoles. That's all there is. Third parties have budget, motivation and SELL charts to use that more than a gadget based console.

well, if theyre not dead, theyre in terminal phase, attached to a respiratory machine and an artificial heart. waiting ti die on morphin. They have already lived a long a plentiful life, its time to let them and release things on the latest consoles. that game looks fun to play, i would get it if it was am eshop game ! not a retail on an old system. comon.
this is the price point every 3ds games should be.
here, i only wonder what will be the longevity of the game. levels are fun to do on a first run, but will it last for another one ? whats the replay value of this title? will it be like starfox? almost none ? I have learned to skip day one mindless buy for this reason.
unless its a solid rpg, i stay far from games without replay value!
lame. so far, the 3ds seems bad for online playing. doesnt look too promising. i live near montreal, and unless i really seek deeply for 3ds owners, i doubt ill be able to play with the wifi feature. i tried with firefox, no good results.
its like if the online mode was so weak that developpers just skip it. street fighter used it, and it wasnt very satisfying. let me doubt for monster hunter 4 or heroes of ruins.
at least the 3d video recording is nice. we will start seeing 3D amateur porn around the net. seriously, it wont be as cool as watching a video with a professional team made 3d effect.im sceptical. ill wait and see.
I will be buying it used in 2 years. because i did the eshop title twice recently... and the pc version twice too.
its an excellent game, the best eshop title i bought including gameboy remakes and 3d classics. the BEST. the 3ds version goes in my priority list for sure, but not for now.
their games are all in my wishlist, sadly i didnt have the fund to get them yet. so games coming this fall, i have to chose carefully my stuff. eshop isnt a priority.

the 2 points it loses to me is the ugly chaos garden design and the car driving stages. elseway, it is one of the few reason i loved the gamecube. i dont particularly like sonic games usually, but this one remains in my top 5 gamecube games.
the darkness... this is nonsense online play is for...noobs ? wow this is like taking all the seriousness and credits you had so far and throwing them in a garbage can. im sorry, your points just dont make sense anymore. online play is mainly the new way for the last few years. playing against bots versus playing against a human is totally different, much less predictable. you call that noob ? i dont get it. i play the single player mode in every game, but but the real deal comes when the multiplayer starts. there are single player shooters, like bio shock as an example. but here ubi is talking about war sims like ghost recon or call of duty. and dont even try to say the mouse control is destroyed by the keyboard. its the keyboard that makes the difference. this is like comparing a toy with a professional tool. just learn to use a keyboard properly. i love the wii. but it remains the family toy. and a shooter is not a family friendly game. there are single player games, there are multiplayer games. and what has been mentionned in the article are games you mainly play online. call of duty takes all its sense when you try it with people online. yeah its fun alone, but you can really see its been developped for online gaming.
this is funny really. wiimote and nunchuk is so gimmicky, yeah its fun. but its nowhere near a real online experience in blackops or battlefield with a ps3 controller. yeah its fun for the single player audience, but it will never convince me for online gaming. it just cant compete with the precision you can have with controllers or mouse/keyboard.
no way it can right now. i tried both, and the ps3 controller really does a splendid job. a little more time is needed to get used to, but everything goes naturally after a while. dont base opinions on first experience only.
but the BEST way remains the pc controls with mouse and keyboard. mouse acts mostly like a pointer control, but much more fluid and precise. The keyboard provides you with tons of customisation for your need, style and comfortability. plus you can have have shortcuts placed the way you want them, and this way you can have a scheme that will be optimised and give you total control.
i really dont see how he wiimote will be able to outclass so much customisation and precision. its impossible right now with this technology. Right now, it mainly acts like the arcade shooters. point and shoot... The only positive point i give it is the fact its easier for youngers or newcomers in the gaming world.
unless they can provide a call of duty with scaled plastic guns similar to airsoft guns with a very precise aiming, i doubt it will ever be the thing for shooters. and tell me why buying nintendo consoles when youre a shooter fanatic ? nintendo wont give you realistic graphic results of even HD immersive experience. nintendo is all about their fun factor and characters... leave shooters to the other companies please.
yeah...thats what lacks in the eshop. demos ! this is my main decision factor for my ps3 buy list. i try the free demos, then see if it suits me. i never ever been disapointed in a game that i bought after i tried a demo.

there are single player games, there are multiplayer games. and what has been mentionned in the article are games you mainly play online. call of duty takes all its sense when you try it with people online. yeah its fun alone, but you can really see its been developped for online gaming.
Re: Ubisoft: "Nobody Proved Wii Does FPS Controls Better"
this is funny really.
wiimote and nunchuk is so gimmicky, yeah its fun.
but its nowhere near a real online experience in blackops or battlefield with a ps3 controller.
yeah its fun for the single player audience, but it will never convince me for online gaming. it just cant compete with the precision you can have with controllers or mouse/keyboard.
Re: Ubisoft: "Nobody Proved Wii Does FPS Controls Better"
no way it can right now. i tried both, and the ps3 controller really does a splendid job. a little more time is needed to get used to, but everything goes naturally after a while. dont base opinions on first experience only.
but the BEST way remains the pc controls with mouse and keyboard.
mouse acts mostly like a pointer control, but much more fluid and precise.
Re: Interview: Gameloft - Let's Golf! 3D and the State of the eShop
yeah...thats what lacks in the eshop. demos !
this is my main decision factor for my ps3 buy list. i try the free demos, then see if it suits me.
i never ever been disapointed in a game that i bought after i tried a demo.
Re: Review: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked (3DS)
i generally like what atlus brings on the rpg market. ill skip it for now, but defenitely pick it up somewhere in 2012.
Re: Nintendo Download: 29th September 2011 (North America)
my favourite gameboy game when i was a kid.
even today, it features original platforming elements.
