@Ryu_Niiyama If you can manage to hold off and play the main game first I think you should. But you'll still enjoy it regardless if you just dive in, especially if you've played 1&2. You should play XC3 though...it's amazing.

@Cashews I don't have an issue with subs at all so I have to admit it's not something I'd really consider marking a game down for. I usually go with the native dub where possible anyway.

@Edu23XWiiU The 7 is chiefly because of repetitive gameplay that becomes a bit dull towards the end. As stated in the review.

@wanghosom I gave it the score based in repetitive gameplay mostly, as indicated in the review.

@Randomarcadedude It's definitely got some appeal about it. Main issue with this port for me was the visual sacrifices make it hard to read the environment, especially in handheld, so tricky moves can become a real issue in places when you can't see the top of a step or a grating coming your way, for example.

It definitely seems to warrant its price from what I've played so far. There's lots to get stuck into. As I said in the preview, the style and tone of it had me thinking it would be quite throwaway, but it's actually got plenty going on...so far.

@Gavintendo Hmmmm. Added black lines, reworked character designs, overhauled level details, added two new modes including a brand new epilogue with a good 90 minutes of action, two new copy abilities, tweaked Extra mode, remastered soundtrack...

@Astral-Grain Hey there. Soundtrack is good, you can actually give it a Google and have a listen to some of the tracks on there to get a flavour. The graphical style and animation are typical of RPG Maker stuff, pretty simplistic as you can see from the screens, but with some nice little touches and flourishes along the way, which I won't spoil here.

Levels are pedestrian in their design really, small closed off areas to explore, and the puzzles, as I mentioned in the review, are pretty basic with sliding match 3 type stuff, nothing that's gonna impede your progress for long.

As far as needing to play To The Moon first, I would say you don't need to have. There are returning characters, so you might get a bit of a kick out of that if you've played the first one, but in terms of story it's not necessary.

@The__Goomba Took me about 14hrs without doing collectibles and optional challenges. It's easily over 20 with all that stuff included. And then there's some tasty unlockable stuff we aren't allowed to talk about for after you've beaten it.

@johnedwin It's got perfect scores on other sites too. It's different people's opinions, not one unified score.

@SalvorHardin Saw that. DF can show the exact framerate numbers and people will take what they want from that, but it honestly feels super smooth in action, and for a Switch game that's this big, this action packed and this good-looking in places...it's a super job on five year old hardware IMO.

@Friendly Not intentionally. There's been lots of concern amongst fans, since long before the whole recent controversy, about whether the new voice would work or if it just wouldn't feel like Bayo with someone else in the role. Only reason I've mentioned it tbh.

@Arawn93 And it's just a really nice and chilled game to play in portable innit. I can see myself spending a lot more time with NMS because of this port.

@calbeau It's genuinely really impressive. I haven't even had any noticeable stutter yet in almost 13hrs of play. Amazing port.

@Nanami_Ataraxi there are several modes to choose from including a creative mode, normal and survival so you can chill if you don't fancy being tested with survival stuff.

With regards to crashes, I've been hearing that a fresh install solves the issues and crashes are happening on old versions that were already installed and then updated with Anniversary. Can't verify this at all rn and I've had no issues with the game so far, although mine was a completely fresh install.

@PJOReilly My base version Skyrim did crash on occasion too, so not sure if that's a particularly new problem, although if it's more frequent that's not great.

@Astral-Grain New save without survival. I'll investigate a little further with survival switched on and see if I spot anything!

@Astral-Grain I've been playing away on it and haven't had anything more than the usual stutters here and there. Strange.
