Worried about the Western release chances of the 3DS RPG Tales of the Abyss? Then worry no more friends, for Namco Bandai has confirmed the game will see a global release.
The announcement came at the publisher's Level Up conference in Dubai, where VP Olivier Comte had this to say:
We were there at the launch of 3DS and we are totally committed to this platform.
No time frame for the game's release was given but we'll keep you updated.

Great news for Europeans, but wasn't this reported not too long ago? Or is it now official-er? Not that I'm complaining, but just confused.
I still own the PS2 Version thanks to Pheonix (aka feenie which i still thank her for recommending me.) I might even pick up the 3DS version when it hits the US. But, it's great to see that Europe will be getting the game too. I know one certain person (from Youtube) that will get this day 1 release.
@Scypher It was a possibility before, now it's rock solid fact.
One of my all-time favorite PS2 RPGs so I'll be all over this one when it hits the 3DS.
excellent
Imagine... the stuttery, low framerate world map that always takes ages to load after every random encounter... BUT IN 3D!
Hopefully, the performence issues of the PS2 version will be lessened for the 3DS.
I still love this game.
Hurray!~
@6 They already said the framerate has been sorted out.
Wow! I didn't expect this at all!
What we really need though is Atlus establishing a UK office.
That or Nintendo releasing all their games over here.
I know, fat chance.
Yeeaah!!! When that will be released in our continent, I'll take it.
Nice, another 3DS game on my wishlist.
Can we just call the 3DS "Port-O-Matic?"
any port in a storm hand it over
YEEEESSSSSSS!!!!! This game looks amazing! The only 3DS game I'm looking forward to more is the new 3D mario platformer.
@crazyj2312
You can call it that.
I'll call it "my best friend for great games on the go".
@komicturtle92 Until I see some new stuff I've never played like KId Icarus Uprising, it will be Port-O-Matic.
