Problem with this list is that people votr for games they only know. Better but less known games may stay behind or with worst notation.
It's still a nice list, but the ranking is a non sense.
A good example is Faxanadu behind Duck Hunt. A seriously good game but less known than a zapper classic, but so much limited.
NES is my "safe place". I first received an AVS in order to enjoy m'y old cartridges again, and then replaced it with an Analogue NT Mini. The games remind me so much good memories. Honestly I don't think I'll have played everything before I die, even if I've everything with fully filled everdrive.
I've a lot if respect for Dylan Cornelius, who reached this objective with its "Questicle" web page.
Obviously, the US one is nice, but I voted for the japanese for two reasons : 1/ pissed off american way to make a badass hero face while the original is full of serenity, and 2/ the US composition is too much generic. A boy running with its dog ? Could have been "countryside RPG", it reminds me Illusion of Time/Gaia with a dog instead the pig.
I've played the remake when it was released. It is nice. HOWEVER (big letters !) it lacks of the feelings, spirit and whatever else that made the original game feel so unic. That's what I think about, but this remake is a cheep copy in front of the first one. Smells like a plastic one, the Wish version.
Even the DX version doesn't feel the sale. Ok, it has colors and a weird dungeon more, but this doesn't add anything. What I can feel deeply inside of me when I've first finished the game was... So strong. Tears, smile, emotion like I never had in video games. This is absolutely not present in the Switch remake. I believe that the old 8bit sprites had more life than the strongky worked hd ones.
This is exactly what I wrote earlier. Both Snes games are awful. And this is not by comparing with what is doing now : even when the games were published, everybody could see it ! Space mutants is bad too, but it was frustrating, not unplayable. This is how I experienced the game as a kit for the Nes one, and as a young teenager for the second.
Bart's Nightmare is an overall fun time ? This game is one of the most awful from the Creation. Both game from the SNES are unplayable. I even can't understand how some of the NES ones (which are not good too) can be less rated than Virtual Bart.
Or... people just not played them. We should have a number of votes per game.
@KingMike Challenging game design, indeed. But the weapon is a star you need to manage in order to 1/ defeat the enemies 2/ reach some high areas. This is really difficult and, from my opinion, a bad conception in the game. The star is your best friend but so less user friendly, I feel it awful.
This game is SO HARD. I'm used with 8/16 bits games, but this one is a big piece. The true ending is a really big challenge, but obviously it's too much. It is good looking, but far away from the best Sunsoft games.
I understand these modifications have been done in order to provide some fun stuff to the newcomers. But obviously, for someone like me who started to play with Pokemon Red since 1999 (when it arrived in France), these modes are evil. Something I hate in the latest games.
I voted by default for mega evolution, as it was the one who slows the game rhythm the less.
Super Mario Bros, Nes. Like a lot of people from the early 80's !
But technically, before the NES, there was an Intellivision at home. I was pretty young at this time, so I didn't "own" it, but I have perfect memories of Burger Time and Shark shark.
Ouendan is far more better than Elite Beat Agents !
I used to hear that from friends for years, but I didn't understand why. EBA was fun despite disappointing, and what the hell with that japanese stuff ? Then, I ordered it (+ the 2, never played it yet but it's sais it's not as good) in 2015. I then understanted : this one is the spirit of fun. No more, no less.
We didn't have this game in Europe, but I hope we wouldn't have the ugly american box if it happened.
Whatever, this contest was fun at the beggining, but I assume it now turns into a "we vote for the box we used to have in our country whatever the other one is". It seems obvious when I see the weekly results. What a shame.
Plenty of good games on GBA, going on a list is long. However, Boktai and Wario Ware Twisted are out of the way on this GBA version for Switch : the two cartridges were equipped with a solar and a move captors. Even if the second might be replaced with the joycon, it looks like complicated.
@Pod don't know this Soccer one, but Go go Beckham was such a pleasant game, despite a bad name ! Denki blocks too, the developper Denki was pretty good.
@Jolon6 Indeed, it's a good way to take this back ! Sad that all is english only, so Super Metroid and Secret of Mana do not have their own player's guide in this folder.
@somebread I've three games here (Deep Sea Adventure, Insider, Nine Tiles Panic). Two are made in EU, the third one is made in China. I let you calculate what is the cost for manufacturing and shipping
But I deeply prefer the physical board game rather than a video game copy !
The Marsupilami was indeed "rent" by Disney for a few years, creating the tv show and planning to make the character part of the Disney universes. This failed, hopefully.
The Marsupilami was first part of Spirou universe, before being the hero of its own adventures, all coming from Franquin's mind. It's a piece of french-belgium comics history.

Re: Can You Name These NES Games From The Mangled Box Art?
Single error was between Contra & Super C. I'm currently top 3 despite several games never are US exclusive !

@BingleyBongley : un peu mon n'veu, et pas qu'un peu.
@Takoda : not "sacrébleu". "Sacrebleu". No one says this anymore, except for joking or emphasizing a sentence.

"From the developers of Deady Tower". Enough for me.

From people out of UK/USA, proper version is Quiplash interlashional (withe several languages included)
It's not the one from this pack.

Megaman 8 X4 X5 X6 cancelled on Super Famicom ? Never heard of this.

Re: Memory Pak: My First Killing Game - 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors
@valharian A physical pack for these three games would be wonderful. I just wait for it (especially since the third is no more on 3ds eshop)
Sadly, World end club is pretty bad.

@MinatoYuki Like these Nes games who used to have start as select and select as start.
Don't ask me which ones, I just remember that they existed.
Terrible.

@somebread Each "real" game is nearly 20€. They're pretty expendive, but that's the price.
Re: Poll: What's The Worst Legend Of Zelda Game?

It is not a bad game. It is only different.
