It’s more incredible to see Elden Ring up there, if I was being honest. That studio went from making a genre out of a game that Sony nearly cut (Demon’s Souls) to being a super-giant that makes gold. I love underdogs!

@Dr_Lugae At this point, I don’t think it would be premature. The system has been out for 6 years, and it unfortunately keeps showing it’s age. Stuff like MP4 will be on the next console; it’s gonna need more juice than what the Switch can handle in order to wow people.

Silent protag is a video game thing and it’s dumb, needs to go away, and forever. Doesn’t make sense that Link has combat voice lines but no spoken dialogue.

@Euler If you only skimmed, how will you be able to glean any information from it to be able to come to that conclusion? If you got fed up reading it that's on you, not the writer.

@Li_Bae Same. I watched a streamer put the game through it's paces and it let me feeling like, "oh, just more botw." I guess this is an example of Nintendo being too afraid to branch out to something else.

@Cia Majora's Mask was markedly different than OOT, so I don't see the comparison, to be honest! I'm just saying, it's a $70 download, so why not spruce it up? I'm hearing/reading reviewers saying it's the same landmass as botw, just with edits.

Leaks are not official announcements, so I'll temper my expectations.

I'm kinda interested in hearing what people think about all the samey-ness that got carried over from botw. It' a $70 download, but if I didn't know better, I would think it's still botw.

@Rambler I've never seen a non-specialist review go as in-depth as DF; that's their whole point. Did you see the NL review? "Uhh, the frames dropped a little, but it wasn't that bad." Some of us need something more detailed before making a purchase!
