I think I bought this on the original GameBoy and I don't have any memories from playing it so I suppose I wasn't too fond of it. Think I'll stay away from it for the time being.
Sounds like something I would give 1/10 frim pure satisfaction. Not that I have anything against it, just that it doesn't confound with the values a good game is supposed to have.
A good game is supposed to fly, soar, lift to the skies and even stay there for a long while. What this game does is nothing of the sort, sure it does soar at first and BY GOD does it fly. Unfortunately it doesn't stay where it should be, in the game cloud, it crashes down like the wounded bird it is and the landing ain't pretty.
Not sure if I'm excited about this or not... the childhood me says "Buy it! Buy it!" but the more adult part of my brain wants to wait until the dust has settled and I can pick it up cheap.
I will most probably buy this game anyhow. Lack of RPG mode doesn't bother me at all and it looks really really fun to just pick up and play from time to time.
Pool games were prevalent in the early 90s and I suppose this game wants to struck a chord with those games. Unfortunately they have the cheek to charge you an arm and a leg for it which is basically taking the piss.
I had the original Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! for NES and bought the Wii version on the cheap last year so I can't see any reason why I shouldn't bring this baby to my beloved 3DS as well...
I played this for a few hours last night and I have mixed feelings about this game. Not sure if I like it or not. The graphics are okey, the music is very good and I suppose there is an interesting gameplay hidden there somewhere, waiting to be discovered. I'll stick with it a while longer but I can't say I'm blown away just yet.
Not to mention (which I do anyway) the TERRIBLE staff working at GAME. I wonder if it's a merit to be obnoxious and rude when you apply for a job there.
I already purchased the two previous titles, even though I never played this one when it came the last time I will definitely pick this up from the e-shop!
I'm not into fighting games, even though I purchased SFIV last month, so I don't think this will be a game I'm picking up. I'm waiting for the MGS demo on Thursday to fully decide if that's my next purchase. Kid Icarus: Uprising is the only day 1 purchase in the upcoming months.
Oh for Pete's sake! Stop selling these old-crappy games nobody has asked for. It only serves to drag a brilliant handheld into the mud of bad reputation. It won't just be a handheld aimed for kidz, it'll also have worthless shovelware to go along with it. Disappointing.
It has to be something extra special for me to fork out £5.40 or whatever the random price will be. I like racers but somewhere you need to draw the proverbial line in the sand.

I love pinball. Kirby? Not so much.
Re: Review: Let's Create! Pottery (WiiWare)
If I could pick out a pence instead of all the summer-accumulated snot from my nose I would be a wealthy man now.

Re: Review: Fester's Quest (NES)
I remember being with a friend and his mum to the shop buying this game. Didn't think it was THAT bad but it wasn't very fun or interesting either.
Re: Reaction: Your Opinions on Nintendo's E3 Conference
Undercooked, underwhelming and underperforming. You might actually think E3 was in Australia this year; Nintendo was really down under on this one...
Re: E3 2012: Every 3DS Game Announced So Far
Where's Leyton?!
Re: Heroes of Ruin Demo Available This Week
A demo will definitely make me decide to pick it up or not.
Re: E3 2012: New Super Mario Bros. 2 Trailer Goes for Gold

Re: E3 2012: Ubisoft Reveals Wii U Line-Up
@zranoll: It really was an awful name and in the name of everything decent I'm glad they changed it.
Re: E3 2012: E3 Starts Early With Nintendo Direct
My body is ready and my mind says yes!
Re: Review: Curling Super Championship (DSiWare)
@TheDreamingHawk: It's a very strategic game on ice. Best countries in the world at present are Canada, Scotland and Sweden, have a look on Youtube.

I will most probably buy this game anyhow. Lack of RPG mode doesn't bother me at all and it looks really really fun to just pick up and play from time to time.
Re: Review: Sudoku by Nikoli (3DS eShop)
Don't bother bringing this crap to Europe.
Re: Review: Cat Frenzy (DSiWare)
I'll give this a huge miss me thinks.
Re: Nintendo Games Back in Force at Game Stores
GAME is back into bad old habits I see. Well, they won't see my money there, that's for sure.
Re: Review: Spirit Camera: The Cursed Memoir (3DS)
I was kind of expecting this. I was never really interested in this title anyway.
Re: Talking Point: What New Super Mario Bros. 2 Means for 3DS and Nintendo
Why is a new Mario game a bad thing?! I'm certainly picking this up knowing it will give me many hours of good fun.
Re: The U.S. Sales Results are in for Nintendo
Sounds reasonably good.
Re: Nintendo Download: 12th April 2012 (Europe)
Absolutely NOTHING this week. Zelda is great but .. I have it already. The rest sounds like shovelware. Where's VVVVV? Where's Mutant Mudd? C'moooon!!
Re: Review: Penguin Patrol (DSiWare)
Definitely picking this one up if and when it comes to EU.
Re: First Impressions: Mario Tennis Open
Oh dear. Can't wait!
Re: Add Tennis Balls to the List of Things Goombas Hate
I'm doing push-ups on the fence for this one. Will probably not be a day 1 but I'm eagerly awaiting any and all reviews.

My wife's picking this up so I don't have to.

This has been on my radar for a while. End of June will be good then!
Re: Review: 90's Pool (DSiWare)

Re: Tetris Party Live Disappears from eShop
I already have it of course. Still a great game.
Re: April's Club Nintendo Rewards Are Now Available
NoE doesn't even this offer. As usual their European customers are second-rate when it comes to good deals.
Re: Baker and OpCapita Deal Saves GAME
Hopefully the new owners will understand that it won't fly to take the piss from the customers like before and start offering us good deals.
Re: Nintendo Download: 22nd March 2012 (Europe)
Nothing for me this week. Except I'm having lots of fun with the Game & Watch games I bought the other day.
Re: Review: Fun! Fun! Minigolf TOUCH! (3DS eShop)
I'll pass then, sadly. I was hoping this would be better.
Re: Review: Metroid (3DS eShop / NES)
When I played this on my NES all those years ago I didn't have the patience and I very much doubt I'll have it today. Sorry, this is a miss for me.
Re: Review: Punch-Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream (3DS eShop / NES)
I had the original Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! for NES and bought the Wii version on the cheap last year so I can't see any reason why I shouldn't bring this baby to my beloved 3DS as well...
Re: Review: Dillon's Rolling Western (3DSWare)
I mostly agree with the review. I don't regret getting this as an impulse buy, however, I think I'll be more mindful of my thoughts in the future.
Re: Review: Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 (Game Boy)
I purchased Mario Land 1 and 2 without hesitation but this third instalment is... I dunno, not sure I like it. I'm gonna give it another hour and see.

Re: Mario Kart 7 Mobile App Makes Kart Combos Clearer
@Visor: Oh really? Whatever happened to "Information wants to be free"?
Re: Review: Metal Gear Solid (Game Boy Color)
Call me old-fashioned but this is straight up my alley! Bring it to the UK and I'll be all over it.
Re: Mario Kart 7 Mobile App Makes Kart Combos Clearer
So now we need spreadsheet applications to play console games as well as possible? Count me out.
Re: Nintendo Download: 23rd February 2012 (Europe)
That's it?! Jesus, how boring and disappointing.

Re: Welcome to the New Look Nintendo Life!
Looks much cleaner and intuitive than before. Well done! I love this site because there are no annoying blinking banners all over the place.
Re: Review: Kirby's Block Ball (3DS Virtual Console / Game Boy)
I wouldn't exactly say NOE is showing us love with YET ANOTHER below-par Kirby game that a minority kids enjoy.
Re: Talking Point: When StreetPass Reunites Old Friends
I live in London. Today I got a streetpass hit from a Canadian. Woho!
