I bought it on release in Europe. Haven't played it much due to a little gem I found called Chrono Trigger, but it's definitely going to be the next one.
Haha, I still remember the Game Genie and the Booster Boy. Those were the days indeed. I didn't have money or interest in them but I still remember a friend boasting about the BB.
It makes the games more flexible and dynamic, that's always a good thing for console games. In the past you would think twice before buying a game knowing that once it's completed you chuck it on the shelf or sell it. I'm not in the habit of selling my games, I like them on my shelf, but I really hope Nintendo nurtures the idea of prolonging their games' life.
Nintendo is clearly looking for new and innovative ways of digging their own grave. Why not just call it .. uhm.. a Shreg. That's right, it's a Shreg!
Iwata should stand on the podium in boxer shorts, talking to the masses of greedy investors, declaring the new device is called -A SHREG-!
No, it's not an acronym and it might possibly mean something more than "Wii U" but that's for Iwata to know and us to find out. In the future when Nintendo releases new, innovative, Mario games to their SHREG there could be easter eggs with clues to the console's name, making people thirst and hunger for more.
I'm sorry but I didn't understand what this game is about and what you're actually doing in it. You basically have an army and you fight other armies. Is that it? No online? No multiplayer? Nothing else? That sounds incredibly boring to me.
I already have Kid Icarus for free and the only pinball game I need (Zen Pinball) so I'm not too sure about this week's offerings. I bought Pullblox and Tetris Online last week and I enjoy them both. This week I have two Professor Laytons, MK7, Ridge Racer and Resident Evil coming my way so I've got games to play until the next AAA title (Kid Icarus: Uprising) is out.
@Sam_Loser2: You might wait forever if you want the price to come down. Usually the games on Nintendo don't fall much in price. I'm sure you can enjoy the story without the other games, I haven't played any other RE game but I'm buying this anyway. I loved the creepy atmosphere in the demo.
This will be the first Resident Evil title I purchase. I loved the demo and I'm craving for a game that doesn't have colourful mushrooms, fairies, singing rainbows or paddling indians in it. Incidentally I get my salary tomorrow so it's a day 1 purchase for me.
Very nice review. I'm glad I won't have to take the plunge with this rubber duck. There's another game coming out on Friday that will require my full attention...
@Will-75: "Their"? Your post was brilliant until that last moment of the last sentence. Perhaps you can spend some time in school a few months until the next big game release, learn something useful, and then come back. I'm sure your parents would be delighted.
@Collision_Cat: Have you tried Shop.to? Play.com? Zavvi? The Hut? I know cats in general are lazy but try activate yourself a little before throwing tantrums around you.
Very lazy and arrogant stance from Nintendo. I appreciate the fact they won't patch and fix every single game they release but an obvious glitch like this HAS to be addressed. It's more or less a game-breaking bug, from my viewpoint, and that is an issue Nintendo seem to not care about.
Can't afford sub-par games, timewise, when the market is flooded with good ones. Seeing as there will be a couple of excellent retail titles arriving very soon there is no point purchasing almost-shovelware games.
The physics in the game are great! I was pleasantly surprised when I first played it, this is definitely one of those titles you can spend hours with and still not getting tired of it. Worth downloading imo.
Zen Pinball is excellent! I've had it for two weeks and play it almost every day. The 3D effect is great and the feeling is good. Definitely the best pinball game I've played for a very long time, certainly the best on a handheld device.
Great review! It's very sad to see lazy developers churning out shovelware on the Wii, hoping for someone to be stupid enough to part with their cash for it.

"You mean you have to use your haaaands?! That's a kid's game!"
Re: Mario & Sonic London Olympics Sprints to 2m Sales
Not sure why anyone would want this game on either Wii or 3DS.

Wild Gunman scene in BTTF part 2.
Re: Gogo's Crazy Bones Coming to DS
I will, with outmost respect, pass on this.
Re: More Free 3DS Wi-Fi Spots Confirmed for Europe
When's it coming though?
Re: Feature: The Wonder of Ugly Add-Ons
@Ashflow: However, don't confuse it with CCCP which is something more sinister and completely different.

Colour me interested. What is it about again?
Re: Kingdom Hearts Anniversary Edition Unveiled
Not sure I'm interested either way.
Re: Resident Evil Revelations Scares Its Way Up UK Charts
I purchased it without the CPP. Still waiting for the game to arrive.

Re: Review: Winter Sports 2012: Feel the Spirit (Wii)
that will likely lead you to jam knives inside your TV’s speakers just to put an end to the unrelenting audial torture
Or you could, y'know, just mute the sound? This sounds like a terrible game anyway so I don't think I'd torture myself with it. Muted or not.
Re: Wii U to Launch Just in Time for Christmas
Every time I read news about the Wii U I feel more and more like an idiot for buying the Wii last Christmas. Thankfully I have my 3DS to comfort me.
Re: Review: Puppies World 3D (3DS)
Assuming you’re not one of the two people in the world reading this who have never played Nintendogs + Cats
Yep, that's me!

Good luck random lady with a fake smile.

I rather save my battery for the flight.
Re: Review: Zoo Resort 3D (3DS)
Nah, think I'll pass on this one.
Re: SoulCalibur V 3DS Appears on Retail Coming Soon List
Not my cup of tea. But the more people buy a 3DS for the good games the bigger chance for me to get a streetpass hit.
Re: Review: Mutant Mudds (3DSWare)
Even though I'll be up to my ears in zombies I will still buy this. Sounds intoxicating.
Re: Review: Balloon Kid (3DS Virtual Console / Game Boy)
Looks and I don't have any happy nostalgia memories from the NES game. Will avoid.
Re: White and Pink 3DS Consoles Go Solo from 10th February
I love my metallic-red one. Wouldn't change it for any other colour.

I was playing this on one of the school's computers back in the days. Loads of fun.

I still have it on preorder and it's not going away!
Re: Hudson May Continue as a Brand
Didn't even know about Hudson until they announced its demise. Can't be a big loss to humanity.

@Cero: The Circle Pad isn't necessary to play either the demo or the retail version of the game.
Re: Rumour: Two Zelda Titles in Development
I can confirm that the voice of Link in the upcoming Zelda game will be none other than yours truly. The voice of Zelda will be James Earl-Jones.

I only play Zelda SS and the Mario Galaxy games on my Wii anyway so it doesn't bother me at all. Okey, maybe a little.
