While the summer may traditionally be a quiet period for new releases, 3DS has some promising titles on the way. One of these, Heroes of Ruin, arrives in Europe on 15th June, while it's hitting North America a bit later on 17th July.
According to Eurogamer.net, this week's download update in Europe will include a Heroes of Ruin demo, allowing a full week of sampling the title before it lands in stores. With tactical dungeon crawling, online co-op with voice chat support and free daily content, this is certainly a title worth trying out.
It's possible that the demo won't hit North America yet, but as always we'll have an update as soon as Nintendo tells us more.

Awesome!
Can't wait to finally give it a go.
Definitely picking it up when it's released here too.
ooooooo Yeah!
Why didn't you say it was for Europe only in the article title I clicked on this article all excited and know I'm disjointed.
Good stuff.
I've been on the fence recently with this game, but this might change things and make me think of purchasing it.
OMFG my body is ready!
I feel like a Purple Pikmin
I would never have considered a purchase of this without trying it, so it's possible after downloading the demo I may buy it!
Awesome! But its dissapointing that Nintendo havent put up any Demos for their own first party titles. Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7, Mario Tennis, Animal Crossing, Luigi's Mansion 2, Paper Mario, New Super Mario Bros 2 - will we ever get demos for these?
What's with Europe getting better treatment than the us from NA?
I know it used to be the other way around, but we have it worse than you guys did.
cant wait to try it out.
i put my pre-order on hold because i wasnt sure of what to expect. now ill make my mind.
btw guys, new 3DS firmware update incomming. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_3DS_system_software
no dates, no facts. only rummors
THIS IS INCREDIBLE AWESOME !!!!!!
cant wait to test this. still not sure wether i should buy the game.
OH YEAHHHHHHHHHHH this is so nice. best news this entire week
I think it looks crap, but I'm willing to give it a go.
I'm so jealous right now. This is the next game i'm thinking of getting and was going to wait on reviews from different sources. A demo would convince me otherwise even before reviews. Please bring to NA soooooooooooooooon!!!
@SkywardLink98 Probably b/c Europe gets the game next week and we get it next month. I'ld hardly call that a conspiracy. We'll get the demo next month I'm sure.
What I'ld like to know is why doesn't Nintendo make better use of the Wii to DSi downloads. Is Fossil Fighters really the best they can do?
A demo will definitely make me decide to pick it up or not.
Oh gawd, please~ It's the only (soon to be released) title that I'm looking forward to right now
I'm glad there's at least a good chance there's going to be a demo (in America). This game looks pretty good, but I definitely wanted to try it first.
Yay! I am really interested in Heroes of Ruin but this demo will really allow me to find out if I will buy it or not!
Here it is, straight from the Heroes of Ruin website. Looks like NA will get the demo at a later date.
"HEROES OF RUIN DEMO OUT IN EUROPE THIS WEEK
Demo available from Nintendo 3DS eShop tomorrow
6th June 2012
Do you have what it takes to be a hero? We’re not talking about just any old hero either, but a Hero of Ruin? Well, wonder no longer - from tomorrow you will be able to find out for yourselves when the Heroes Of Ruin demo launches on the Nintendo 3DS eShop in Europe.
Not had a chance to go to E3 2012 and feel like you’re missing out? Not to worry, we’ve got you covered – the demo on the eShop has the exact same content as that which E3 attendees will be getting to play on the show floor.
The demo gives you two classes to choose from, the wily Gunslinger and the noble Vindicator, both of which you’ll be able to customize to your heart’s content. However, to quote some venerable ancient wisdom, “it’s dangerous to go alone!” so we hope you’ll be pleased to hear that the demo supports drop in/drop out co-op multiplayer over both Local and WiFi for up to four players.
The demo’s quest takes place within the Elder Forest, so called from ancient times when the spectral Elders of the forest called this area home. Whether you have your Hero rush forwards to meet their destiny, or go off the beaten path and engage in side-quests, all depends on your play style as an adventurer in the world of Veil.
We’ll be posting some helpful hints for the European demo later on this week and we’ll be sharing more information about the North American demo at a later date."
WiFi multiplayer on a demo? That's just TOO AWESOME !!!
Will download!
I really hope this comes to NA soon, this may make a big difference in whether I get this game. I'm really on the fence right now.
That is pretty awesome the demo allows for co-op, since it was a big selling point for the game.
Played the Demo! It's Awesome!
Yeah I loved the demo but only 6 uses? I am afraid to play it again..lol!
I approve it. It's fun. Will buy it. You do too. And to all US-cry babies: this game was developed in UK, so what's wrong releasing it here first?
The WiFi multiplayer works well but its a shame that they had to omit the voice chat because I played a game last night where the other three players were running around like headless chickens after we had completed all but the main quest because I was unable to tell them where the final boss was and I was waiting there ages before the host of the game decided to end the session. I understand that demos dont have all the features of the full game and im gratefull that online multiplayer was included, I just imagine that the game will play so much better when we can talk to each other.
