If you are under 35 you probably won’t understand this. That’s ok, I’m just glad Nintendo is finally recognizing long time fans from the 80s & early 90s. Being an adult and raising/supporting a family inherently dialed back my sense of adventure (Still worth it). Let’s not forget kiddo’s, getting older will happen to you too! HA, HUH, HAAaaa…hmmm.
The Switch has fulfilled most expectations that Nintendo fans have had while waiting through the dark times. You know, back when it was hard to be a fan. The quality of certain titles has kept us following like animals down the bread crumb trail. It’s been a long time, but I think Nintendo has returned to its original glory!
This screams best game ever made to me. I do not know how they continue to do it. I’m super thankful that Nintendo focuses on the continual growth of their biggest games. What a shocker! Wow!!!
I also have a PS5 that gets little to no use. I will probably get rid of it and stash the cash for Super Switch. I can’t be the only one thinking this!^^^
I am ready for Nintendo to drip feed us the less popular titles for the next couple years. The Switch game catalog is already stellar. Imagine getting titles like F-Zero, Star Fox, 1080, and Wave Race, maybe even Punch out! Leaving a user base this large behind would be the biggest blunder. Now is the time for those games to shine. They know it and have stated this redefines what a console generation is.
Will be a sad day when Miyamoto is officially gone. I hope Nintendo would never sell out and do something like EA. Annual Mario releases (Add title name here) would kill the IPs that have stood the test of time. They could also go the uninspired route like the recent Yoshi and Kirby games for the sake of cranking them out. Look what happened to Sega when the creator died. I fear it will be bad news for long time Nintendo fans. Like Sony and Microsoft, I think graphics > gameplay is Nintendo’s future. I hope I’m wrong but I believe it has been the veterans that have stopped this so far.
@Bizzyb I agree, however the switch is in a unique position where they have very little competition in the mobile market. Steam deck is the closest due to it being a real gaming experience unlike IOS or Android. SD still lacks the popularity. Most Nintendo fans only go for 1st party flagship titles, so loss of 3rd party dev means little. I think the wind down is perfect for some of Ninty’s smaller titles to shine.
Nintendo has sold consoles to long time fans again and again without even releasing some players favorite games. They are aware of their fan base. They know what we want. I get that you can’t please everyone but you can try to please your core audience that would never leave your side, like during the Wii U blunder.
Nintendo could easily stretch the Switch lifespan out another 3 years. Complete the catalog of games! I’m not saying pull an annual Call of Duty style release for every franchise. I just want to see each IP have at least one release every generation. I’m sick of waiting for some of my faves. Wave Race, F-zero and 1080 are due for new installments. Not every game should be meant to sell a trillion copies. Some should be released if only to please the long time fans! Wake up Nintendo.
I started gaming on the nes and will always buy physical when possible. You little stinkers that prefer digital do have the perk of accessing your game library anywhere.
I’m definitely picking this up as soon as I can. I am trying to 100% Dread before starting Prime. Want to give it all my attention. Such a masterpiece of a game!
I really wish the difficulty was a little more scalable. Oh well, I’m still getting it. Will be a quick romp to beat and a periodic return to 100% the game.
Kirby Star Allies was so awful. The difficulty was a joke. Good game for little ones but has no flexibility to please a wider audience. I really hope Return to Dream Land is different.
Star fox 64! So memorable, do a barrel roll everyone. I thought Starlink is its own game with a Star fox add-on. Is this true or is it an actual Star fox game?
I will be replaying Breath again to refresh before TOTK drops. I purchased a Lebow portable gaming monitor for when I’m traveling and I can’t recommend this thing enough. 15.6” monitor that has a cover that doubles as a stand. It’s 1080p so it’s perfect for the switch. You can connect and charge the switch while playing on the TV screen without the dock!
I own the Lite and the OLED. I actually prefer the picture quality of the Lite. The OLED colors are brighter but the Lite has a smoother looking image overall. Certain titles can look overly choppy on the OLED Switch.
I was hoping for a banger. It was close, but I feel it needed 1 more 1st party title. Something other than the usual. I want Wave race or Star fox. I’d settle for something from the Excite series or a new Pilot wings would be nice!
@WaffleBoat Purples are the most durable of all the Pikmin. I think they first appeared in Pikmin 2. They have a knock back ability to stop enemies in their tracks.

Re: Call Of Duty Will Run As You "Would Expect" On Nintendo Platforms, Says Microsoft
Crappy Cloud of Doodie version here we come. I would rather have an entirely different game than a watered down port.
Re: Mortal Kombat 12 Confirmed, Scheduled For 2023 Release
@LikelySatan IX is great! Def one of my faves. UMK3 was great because of the run function and the combo system. Character roster was on point too!
Re: Mortal Kombat 12 Confirmed, Scheduled For 2023 Release
I want a prettier version of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 for the Switch dammit. Screw the new bore fest.

Re: Scalpers Set Their Sights On Metroid Prime Remastered Physical Release
Unfortunately, even Nintendo is trying to encourage digital purchases through physical game scarcity. They could have more than met the demand.
Re: Scalpers Set Their Sights On Metroid Prime Remastered Physical Release
Sounds like a botched launch where the big N is trying to gauge the demand for the Prime series.

Touch and go should have ranked better. Yoshi suffers the same fate as Kirby. Too easy!

@GooseLoose1 I sure hope so! Yippee!
Re: Super Mario Bros. Movie Nintendo Direct Announced For 9th March, Will Debut 'Final Trailer'
Nintendo might surprise us. Unlikely, but they might. I can’t think of a better time to shadow drop a new 2D Mario game!

Hope this isn’t the only Metroid we get this year. Definitely grabbing it, but wanting Prime 4 Christmas! He, he!

Can’t wait for this! I love Pikmin 3 deluxe. Wonder if this can raise the bar? One can hope. Cheers!
