Re: Review: Ever Oasis (3DS)

LuciusHellmonde

Ah! A game by Koichi Ishii; the Man behind the Mana! It is a shame that Square Enix pretty much killed the Mana series; I hope this makes for a new generation of Action-RPGs filled with the magic andwonder of those back in the day

Re: Metroid Prime: Federation Force Power Bombs in Japan

LuciusHellmonde

@BLD In a certain sense responsability falls in both parts; the producing part has to offer good content and make a good public promotion of the product in order to attract the purchasers, the purchasing part has to take a risk and "trust" (it's not the right word, but i couldn't think of any other here) the producing part in that the product is what they say; it's a risk on both parts also as no one can ever please everyone

Re: Metroid Prime: Federation Force Power Bombs in Japan

LuciusHellmonde

I have to say something about all this... It's kind of undeserved... I know it's not the game everyone wanted... I know it's "unique" to say put it as nice as I can, but this was completely undeserved... The game plays fine, the story is not the next best thing since grilled cheese, but hey, it's not that bad, the gameplay is quick and is pretty much what I expect from a shooter game; I've never played Metroid Prime I or II or III, the only reference I had was MP Hunters, and that was fun, unnoriginal at times, you have to beat the same boss like 4 or 5 times (the eye-thingy in a force field), it was certainly flawed, the platforming drove me crazy at times and the timed sections every other level got tiring really fast... yet I don't see any hate... and this game that improves over that same base is getting bashed... I know, it's not what we wanted; but we as fans have grown spoiled over the goodness of "something" (anything really) and we jump in the next bandwagon that arrives, be it hate, hype or just plain "meh"... but that's just my silly little opinion, I don't plan on being taken seriously in the internet, and the same boes for everyone, don't take everything too serious, it's just the internet

Re: NSPCC Believes Pokémon GO is "Susceptible To Being Hijacked" By Those That Could Harm Young Players

LuciusHellmonde

Oh NOES! The most dangerous game ever made! Just like Mortal Kombat! And those satanic poke-ee-mans! Or Grand Theft Auto! And pretty much every other game that make parents take notice of their children and take responsability for them, let's blame THOSE games again; you know, instead of TALKING all the issues like civil, adult, responsible persons that can take care of our own and our cohorts, that sounds silly

Re: First Impressions: Working the Lands in Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns

LuciusHellmonde

Hmmm I think it sounds like it can alienate people who might take this as their first "social/life simulator", it sounds kind of convoluted and intimidating for starters in this genre; all that said, it seems like a nice and fast paced game compared to "A new Beginning", also I want to know more about the NPCs because that's usually what makes me or breaks me from the game (I'm looking at you Rune Factory 4... ¬¬), I hope they make a good job also with the voice acting, something that is either love or hate from this kin of games, all in all I am really hyped for this

Re: Talking Point: 3DS Homebrew Development Causes Another Game Takedown as Nintendo Maintains Its Tight Grip

LuciusHellmonde

Oh dear! If homebrew was actually useful and let you have cool stuff like having a .txt or .rtf viewer/editor, read .pdf or something like that, then i'd say "eff it, let's all go homebrew" BUT since all homebrew does is just allow to run crappy games, or some low quality emulators, and since i've never really have interest in games released overeas that never come out here, meh, i'll say instead "eff it, all hackers are doing is to hurt developers profits and may hurt the console in itself" also for all people "defending" homebrew, screw it all, if it's useful for you, then good for you, just don't try to shove it down others people throats

Re: Rumour: More Sources Highlight NX Controller 'Gimmick' and a Major Game Project

LuciusHellmonde

To be honest this site is becoming more and more "pick your rumors and sensationalism" rather than a "professional nintendo news magazine"... oh well, this is getting out of control really, all these rumors, with almost a new one every week, are meaningless and are beginning to feel like click-bait journalism... anyway, i just hope this next console really improves the sales for Nintendo

Re: Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival Has Modest Impact in Japan as 3DS Sales Improve

LuciusHellmonde

Ok... never thought I had to say this again... but guys, just like i'll be stating the obvious you are, sales-figures are important and are the core maintenance of the gaming industry, but I really have to say this, these games aren't "bad" or "shameful" or whatever label you want to use. You are underlooking something important that has kept Nintendo in the business. These games are trying to innovate; wheather we like them or not they are quality games, they have great music and really nice graphics at worst; I complain about some indie games because they sell things that actually are free on platforms like android or apple, but as far as Nintendo retail releases, I just can say "no thanks, that's not for me" even those "poorly developed spin-offs" have their target audience, games may not be for anyone, but that doesn't make them "bad". Nintendo tries new things for making happy their audience, and we as consumers are really ungrateful.
If it's something new: "they ruined it, it's not as before, it's bull****!"; but if it's like the older ones: "ZOMFG! Nintendo keeps playing it safe, we are already bored of this piece of ****, MAKE NEW THINGS NINTENDO"
So, which side are you on? I am on the side of learning and making constructive criticism, even to the fanbase.

Re: Video: This is How Single Player Works in The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes

LuciusHellmonde

It honestly looks unbearable, and talks someone who played 4 swords DS port by himself, this just looks silly. Why not the clones follow you by default? Why can't you change clones with just a button instead of the touchscreen? Why to bother to have the same stamina bar cutting the number of actions you can take "in turn" in SINGLEPLAYER? One thing is to encourage multiplayer but this is forcing it!

Re: Review: SENRAN KAGURA 2: Deep Crimson (3DS)

LuciusHellmonde

Let's be honest on this one... first of all... most of us are here for them fanservice... and secondly, the game deserves more credit... I mean if Star Wars episode III on the DS was on the same lines as this one and received some critic acclaim... It's a beat'em up, what did you expected? an RPG?

Re: 3DS Homebrew Hacker Turns to YouTube App As Latest Workaround for 'Tubehax'

LuciusHellmonde

@Chaoz ok ok ok... No... It doesn't works like that... at all! SNES and GBA and "X" console you want to mention do belong to their developers and publishers, Nintendo CAN only publish games on the eShop once the original publisher agrees to. That is why Rare can Publish its retro collection on XBOX one despite games being originally developed for Nintendo systems.

Now as for region locking... seriously I'm not going to have an attitude in the lines of "you cannot cry for what you cannot have" but I think this attempts are going to be as long living as many others... "Oh great I can hack my console, but i cannont enter the eShop, I cannont conect to the internet, I cannot play online"... It has happened before and it will keep happening... People don't want to spend $XX on importing a console, but are willing to risk to expend just as much when the console gets bricked? Ok... fair enough i guess?

@Monado_III Ok that's cool for Europe I believe, so... cheers on you?

Re: Obituary: Satoru Iwata

LuciusHellmonde

I mean no disrespect for what i'm about to say, i respect the man and I really looked up for him, and maybe everyone in here does too. So maybe in a homage to his person and his image, to everything he did for the company, why not naming the next console after him...? Just sayin'...
Rest in Peace Satoru Iwata; as a gamer and student developer I will always take on his example.

Re: Feature: Our Hopes and Dreams for Nintendo at E3 2015

LuciusHellmonde

Guys Guys Guys! Remember! Metroid prime was stated to be a trilogy
Even the DS games technically doesn't counts for them. Yeah! they'll keep making metroid (one for the 3DS i hope) but it's not going to be from the Prime subseries
(P.S. Sorry if someone pointed that out already)
As for hopes, a NEW ORIGINAL Zelda for the 3DS wouldn't be bad, this tima taking the worlds of the Oracle games and incluiding the third oracle (that be nice); more strategy games and RPG on the WiiU are always welcome and nevertheless, F-Zero... Come on! Everyone is expecting that one!

Re: UCraft is a Wii U Exclusive Once Again

LuciusHellmonde

Ok... I see a flame war has already started... And ok everyone is free to think or say whatever they say but... Rememeber all the noise made about Cube Creator 3d for the 3DS? It ended up with high ratings from critics and players all along... I believe this will be the same
