@Omenapoika: You're definitely not the only one. While I didn't do it myself (I had seen others playing at demo kiosks before I got to try) I had to explain to quite a few people that not only was it OK to hold it there but the button below was important.
Sometimes we have people over for Mario Party who are new to games and they still get it wrong. Not the most intuitive controller!
This is the same conference that in the past has yielded reveals of Punch-Out!! Wii and Sin and Punishment 2. It's nothing new or crazy for Nintendo to hold one and its timing right before TGS would be the perfect opportunity to announce, say, Monster Hunter 3DS or (I'd poo myself) a new F-Zero.
I wouldn't expect much in the way of new hardware.
@46: If an indie platformer did nothing new with the platforming formula and actually executed parts of it considerably worse than its peers then yes I'd say it's a valid criticism. Even without looking at other Wii shooters, Conduit 2 is often annoying, underwhelming and half-baked.
@slapshot82: Raptors, yeah, but not giant sharks or dragons! Unless velociraptors are giant sharks, in which case public schooling has failed me horribly.
You know, if it was any other company I'd say yeah that'd be very likely, but with Nintendo's rather lumbering approach to digital downloads I'd say Konno is just referring to e.g. 3DSWare. I don't think their bodies are ready nor willing to embrace such a leap in game delivery.
@8: If you click on the dev name and hack the URL by replacing "wiiware.nintendolife.com" with "www.nintendolife.com" you'll get a list of all available games they made.
You do all realize that this is just the Nintendo tour, and that your local stores will most likely have some sort of 3DS demo unit on display, right? Right?
Alright, now I kinda want it. Never got around to playing the MQ and I don't really feel like going through OoT for the umpteenth time, but remixed a little is enough of an excuse to do so.
I didn't really get into VOID for a while since I thought it was a little too mellow and floaty for my tastes, but going back to it for writing this made me really come to appreciate it more. Still can't play CORE without exploding my brain though, which makes it my least favorite.

As long as there's no charge for playing in the west then I'm all about this.
Re: Review: BIT.TRIP SAGA (3DS)
There were no online leaderboards in the WiiWare versions and they did pretty OK for themselves score-wise.

Has it really taken this long for MK to get cockpit view? Crazy. Officially pumped!

Picrosssssssssssssssss yessss
Re: Turns Out You Can Delete Pac-Man & Galaga Save Data
Sneaker13 is spot-on. It had no bearing on the final score and was only mentioned so people would be aware of the now-fixed issue.

Love me some VVVVVV, might have to check this sucker out.
Re: Jupiter Creating Picross E for Nintendo 3DS eShop
I'll take all the Picross I can get. I dare not even think of the amount of time I've spent on the 3D version.
Just shoot it straight into my veins, Nintendo.
Re: Hideo Kojima Busy Getting Snake Eater 3D Ready for E3
My mistake, I've been playing a lot of Peace Walker lately and crouch-walked through the whole game basically.
Re: Hideo Kojima Busy Getting Snake Eater 3D Ready for E3
@Kid_A: Didn't MGS3, or even 2 for that matter, already have crouch walk? I somehow remember playing through most of the series crouched down.
Re: Review: MDK2 (WiiWare)
@BulbasaurusRex: It's not a matter of now knowing what to do, it's that actually doing it can be a huge pain.

Re: Rumour: Retro Studios Working on Game for Wii Successor
Jet Force Gemini is a Rare game through and through. If anyone is going to develop a sequel, it sure ain't Retro and Nintendo.

@abgar: It doesn't mean that at all.

For whatever reason I didn't realize the Shop channels were browser-based, I always figured they were applications. Interesting.

Good, because there'll be more this coming week. =)
Oh, in case you missed it, be sure to check out the pre-development target renders for each game.

I didn't really get into VOID for a while since I thought it was a little too mellow and floaty for my tastes, but going back to it for writing this made me really come to appreciate it more. Still can't play CORE without exploding my brain though, which makes it my least favorite.
