@warioswoods: All content is on the disc/cartridge. The figures do have some kind of on-board memory to save statistics and such, so that you can carry over your Skylanders to other people's games (or, in this case, a sequel).
@40: The most I cashed in on one day was 6,000 and it made one of the three trees bloom to 60%. I have no idea if there's an upper ceiling to how many steps you can cash in, but if there is one then I think it's safe to call it reasonably high.
@28: Once a day you can put your pedometer steps towards a rock garden, and the more steps you put in the more the sakura trees bloom. It's mostly just pretty, and it takes a lot of steps to get stuff in full bloom.
@9: The protagonist is only referred to as the Sakura Samurai, and you can't name him. As for the story, it's basically "your princess is in another castle" type stuff.
@10: A game doesn't have to be fully 3D to be pretty! But anyway, Pushmo and Zen Pinball look pretty great. If you love the way this looks then great, I found the art style to be a little bland in spots.
I was so pumped for this game when it first came out and it totally delivered. Kinda fell off the WarioWare train since then but coming back to this one via the Ambassador program has been a real treat. Couldn't agree more with the praise in the review. Excellent game!
@battLeToaD: Stages feel an awful lot like the NES version, and according to Wikipedia (yeah, yeah) they both feature the same stages. A notable difference is in the enemy encounter stages: they're top-down on NES and sidescrollers on GB.
I wouldn't hold my breath for the uncensored BC on any platform either. I mean, we didn't even get arcade Donkey Kong.
I have really fond memories of this one but don't know if I want to go back to it quite yet after MK7 and F-Zero: Maximum Velocity. I feel like they have cumulatively scratched the Super Circuit itch.
A little too excited for this. Very jealous you've experienced it already! Although maybe not so much that you had to power through it like that — can't wait to explore it at leisure.
@BulbasaurusRex: I'd say expect around 10 hours of "normal" play, i.e. taking the time to do some of the side stuff and not trying to critical path through. It's beefy, and the more characters you pick up I'd say add an extra few hours each if you're interested in leveling them up. There's certainly a lot of game here if you're willing to explore.
BONUS EDIT: Another way to look at it is that there are eight elemental types and you start off with three. If you get both the Wii and 3DS versions (they're different games and cross-compatible) you get five elemental types and only need three more. There are also extra environments that are pretty lengthy, and you can use your Skylanders on the free PC/Mac browser game too.
So no, you don't have to buy all 30+ figures to get the "whole game," but if you want to explore 100% of the environment you'll need to pick up the types you're missing.
1. Just Dance 2. Dance on Broadway 3. Gold's Gym Dance Workout 4. Just Dance 2 5. Just Dance Kids 6. Michael Jackson: The Experience 7. The Smurfs Dance Party 8. Just Dance Summer Party
Then there's of course Just Dance 3, and in the next few months we've got Just Dance Kids 2, ABBA You Can Dance and The Black Eyed Peas Experience.
Games without "Just" in the title are counted because they're Ubisoft games that are more or less Just Dance with a specific focus.
@5: There are two control schemes. It sounds like you're using one you're not comfortable with, so I suggest you try the other to make the game handle almost exactly like Shattered Dimensions.
@bossmank: It had a few little extras not found in other versions that tied the RE2 fiction into later games that had been released since RE2 first hit PlayStation. So, technically, the game that hit the N64 was "exclusive" to the platform, even if the majority of it was not.
@jgary1: Darkness was never an issue for me and I usually have my brightness on 3. You can always crank it up if it's tough to see but I had no issues.
