Re: The Nintendo Era is Over, Tweets Former Final Fantasy Scribe

I guess he's former writer for a reason.
The iPad is still unaffordable and not recommended for the masses.
Besides, you only have the full features in the US, and some countries won't even have it. It is yet to be released in Austria.
I also doubt that Apple will come out with a device focused on portable gaming using online services, because that wouldn't be multifunctual.

Re: Review: The Beatles: Rock Band (Wii)

Now that one took you a while, right?
I love this game, it's executed extremely well.
I was also a huge fan of The Beatles, but this game got me even more into the band and it's music. The graphics are impressive too, as long as we are talking about the main models; the rest is somewhat sloppy.
Otherwise, the game is stunning. Downloaded titles take a while to fire up, and you have to wait a while to get 2-3 partner in online mode, but you can really tell they took their time on that game.
It's also not only a port from the 360 version, they actually reduced the sceneries so it would run smoother.

Re: Monster Hunter 3 a Roaring Sales Success in UK

I guess this was an experiment to see how well 3rd party games can sell if they are advertised enough.
There were 2 bundles and the game to preorder, and the Nintendo Channel was infested with MH3-videos within a short amount of time.

Played it today.
The Wiimote-control is rather fiddly, but it works well with the Nunchuck and Pointer.

Re: Miyamoto Hints At Wii 2, Wii HD

JakobG

Well, the latest Nintendo rumors have proven to be true, but a new Wii?
They have some major games coming up this year and want to announce a new console afterwards?
I don't think so.
Also, I thought Nintendo finds HD not mass-compatible enough.
And a new platform would suck because I own a Wii since October.
Yet, his statement sounds like it's certain that a new console will release.

I too hope for a Star Fox Wii, and find it very likely to happen.
Miyamoto is hyped like a maniac about the possibility of a Star Fox game for the Wii, and he wouldn't admit that for fun.
