Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (May 1st)

Been playing the Messenger a lot, finished the base game last week now I'm just wrapping up the DLC. Also got Toree 3D last night and blasted through half of it in 20 minutes or so. Surprisingly decent ugly little micro-game that's like half the price of a coffee. Also been playing the odd level or two on Rayman Legends in between, and will probably start Hotline Miami today at some point.

I finally beat Blue Fire last night, that game is a ton of fun but is so buggy I can't recommend it. Went back to complete all the void challenges and despite having completed all but one, my journal and save file won't register a couple of them, so I gave up. Super frustrating....

Other than that, gonna play some Rayman Legends and start Earthbound again

Still slogging through Blue Fire which has been a really hit and miss experience. There's a lot I love about it and a lot I really don't love about it. Other than that I'm not too sure... Finishing Cyber Shadow earlier this week has made me eager to try the Messenger, but I'm having a hard time justifying buying another game at full price when I have so many. Still...

@BloodNinja you were replying to someone else so I didn't see your post about the overuse of "Super" (I don't disagree), and your query was for somebody else. It doesn't matter to me in the least, play whatever you want, including however many dozen bisyllabic "Knight" titles are released next quarter.

@San_D it's especially annoying in this game where you use currency to unlock save points, which are pretty few and far between. And you get currency by smashing open pots and crates, so you end up smashing every single thing you see just so you have a better shot at being able to actually afford the next checkpoint when you finally find one, which gets pretty tedious after a while. Also there's no map (at least not yet, I'm only a few hours in), so if you die exploring a new area it can be a hassle trying to figure out exactly where you were. I love Hollow Knight and thought the mechanic worked fine there but it feels pointlessly copied into this game. I'm still enjoying it overall but there's lots of little frustrations like that holding it back from being great.
