Re: Soapbox: Nintendo Switch Learned A Lot From Wii U’s Struggles During Its Own First Year

It's pretty obvious that Nintendo learned from their mistakes with the Wii U. They had so poorly marketed the Wii U to the point where many thought it was an add-on to the Wii and not it's own console.

Compare that to the marketing of the Switch which has been excellent at communicating what the Switch is. The moment I saw the reveal trailer, I had a feeling Nintendo learned from their past mistakes and it would be more successful than it's predecessor.

Well I don't mind ports, in fact I think it's neat that you can take Doom and Bayonetta 1&2 on the go. That novelty of taking any console game anywhere is a real nice selling point.

For example I felt the same way about the PS Vita. The fact that I could play PS2 collections like Sly Cooper, Jak & Daxter and God ofWar as well as almost all PS1 classics anywhere really sold me on it.

Sure I already own most of these games but having them on the go makes it worth rebuying them.
