Re: Zelda: Breath Of The Wild's Urbosa Treated To Gorgeous Statue, Pre-Orders Now Open

@Ryu_Niiyama yeah they stopped matching numbers for new lines a couple years ago. At the time they promised to honour any pre existing lines with more than one release for the foreseeable, but any new lines or those with only one release at the time of the announcement would be random going forward, this included the BOTW line which only had one release at the time. I guess the okami line had more that one release before they announced it hence your matching numbers (or you indeed got lucky!), but I get the impression they’re trying to phase out matching numbers across the board as soon as they can.

Yeah I have rider link on pre order, but I’m still disappointed they used fabric for the cape instead of a resin head swap, no idea what they were thinking there. Luckily it’s optional for display! 🙈

@Ryu_Niiyama they have done away with matching numbers, you will receive a totally random number now regardless of previous orders or at what point you ordered.

I wish these were resin and something different to the amiibo pose. As they are I’ll pick the collectors (light up version, there will be a cheaper ‘standard’ too without LEDs) 3rd party when it releases, I don’t need a numbered base for a pvc or extra packaging to have to find space for. ‘Collectors’ v ‘exclusive’ the actual statue is exactly the same but it’ll be around $70 dollars cheaper and that’s before shipping!

I’ve been excited for this since the gameplay reveal, I don’t really look at reviews until after I’ve played as I prefer to form my own opinions and go in blind (occasionally to my detriment to be fair 🤣)
What a start to the year though! Arceus, Horizon, Elden, Triangle strat all in a matter of weeks. So many good things still coming! Squeee! My purse is sweating but boy we’re getting spoilt!

Girl here! I collect figures & consoles/games. Yes, they’re expensive, but sometimes appreciate nicely so become an investment. I’d totally have her if I had the spare cash but there’s so much releasing atm.
To any folk clutching their pearls, I say lighten up man! Atelier ryza? Good. Beautifully painted pvc collectors figure? Goood. boobies? Goooooood! 🤣

eye roll Let’s not encourage censorship because some people get offended. Comedy should not be censored. You can find certain comedy not funny and in turn just do not engage with it. Dont cry about it or hate on those who do find it funny. Just don’t engage. It’s not for you. People who try to ban stuff cos they don’t like it are THE WORST.
Kids that are too young and shouldn’t be seeing this shouldn’t be browsing the eshop unsupervised anyway, they could come across sexual content, violence and all other manner of in appropriate content, that’s on the parents not the creators.
That said, this game & description seems really cringe and I do not find it remotely funny or interesting personally.

Re: Random: Nintendo's Switch Online 'Expansion Pack' Trailer Is Now Its Most Disliked YouTube Video Ever

INCAROADS

Ok, 100k dislikes on the ninty YouTube channel isn’t enough to give a realistic overview. Fair enough those voting there are chance to be more invested than your average switch user.
However, what about the many, many ‘influencers’ on YouTube that have expressed disappointment in it, themselves each having hundreds of thousands and sometimes millions of followers? These days many get their information and form decisions based purely on what their favourite YouTuber said, they carry great influence over the younger audiences. YouTube reviews and opinions are vital to Nintendo’s reputation.
Also, I’m really, really sick of people saying ‘It’s only the cost of a snickers every month, stop being cheap’.
It’s not a monthly payment, it’s an annual. End of. How much it costs per hour/minute/second is absolutely irrelevant for those who either don’t have the extra disposable income or the inclination to pay up front.

Re: Poll: N64 And Sega Genesis Nintendo Switch Online Games Launch Today - Which Will You Play First?

INCAROADS

@Darkyoshi98 yeah but at least they offer huge libraries of games. They maintain dedicated servers which support potentially demanding online play. And they are fully transparent about what you will receive in return for your money, ‘you pay us £x per month and we guarantee you x content per month in return’, whereas Nintendo seem to be just drip feeding roms at their discretion. You have the option of monthly payments so you can cater the service to best value for your families needs. They don’t hide their back catalogues behind additional paywalls either.

Re: Poll: N64 And Sega Genesis Nintendo Switch Online Games Launch Today - Which Will You Play First?

This is a cheap cash grab with minimal effort on their part. They’re literally dumping a handful of ROMs on to the service and expecting us to pay double the price. We’re getting blinded by a couple of classic games & nostalgia, but we should be demanding more. I know lots of folk can’t get past how cheap it is and we should just pay it, but it’s not just £35 (or £3 quid a month or less than a pot noodle or whatever other subscription marketing ploys you want to use) it’s £35 every 12 months. So another 4 years in its life you’re up to £140, you’ve already potentially paid say £60-£126 for the SNES games that have been on there 3 years now. True, a couple hundred quid over a couple years in the grand scheme of things isn’t much, but Nintendo have 26 million (soon to be many more I’m sure) subscribers to NSO. So you get an idea of the income that’s generating for them, for that money IMO they simply should be giving us more of a service. Many aren’t happy, yet they don’t give a monkeys as they know people will pay it. This is hugely profitable for them, and they’re taking advantage of their fans, yet we keep making excuses for them, it’s absolutely crazy.
