It genuinely terrifies me how so many people are completely incapable of seeing through corporate BS these days. The act of making a safer workspace for all kinds of people is a good thing in theory, but if you think that a soulless PR statement like this was made for any other reason than to win brownie point with, and to sell to, certain crowds of people, you're delusional. Corporations don't care about you, your family or your friends. They're only interested in your money.
@burninmylight Yeah it's DEFINITELY not explained well by the game itself, and I think they only changed it shortly after the initial release of Megas because of fan backlash about how difficult it was to do at the time. But yeah it's really not that bad now, a Pokemon with an initial cost of 200 Mega Energy will only cost 40 Mega Energy on subsequent uses, plus the buddy system makes it super easy to get more. Other than maybe Mega raids taking a bit too long to complete and that they probably should be rewarding you with more Mega Energy, I think the system is perfectly fine now.
@Tyranexx I'd recommend using the application "PokeRaid" if you're having issues getting enough people to raid with. It lets you remotely invite and be invited to raids by people from all over the world who are also looking for raid partners. I use it quite often and it works well most of the time.
@Heavyarms55 I will, thank you. I'm pretty sure anyone would agree that getting infinite mega energy from the buddy system is better than only being able to get it from completing Mega raids. But hey, you do you~
@Heavyarms55 It really is though, it's a MASSIVE improvement over what you seemed to think it was. Mega Evo costs are decreased by over 3/4 after it's first Mega evolved, and the walking requirements to get enough to mega evolve again are really not that hard to achieve. And I don't know why you don't think you get candy from it as well as Mega energy, because you do. And fyi the buddy system is probably the worst way to grind candy. I use Mega evolution in raid battles all the time without any issue. If I run out, I put the Pokemon as my buddy for about a day or so and hey presto, I have enough to Mega it a couple more times already. You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but it's an objective fact that the current system is FAR better than what you seemed to think it was.
@Heavyarms55 You don't seem to be aware that you can get infinite of a certain mega energy simply by having a Pokemon that has mega evolved before as your buddy and walking with it. This is how you're meant to do subsequent mega evolutions. Mega Raids are only necessary for a first time mega evolution.
Just received Miitopia for my Birthday today! So I imagine I'll be playing that most of the weekend, with maybe a side of Super Metroid to celebrate the announcement of Dread~
@SpaceboyScreams I was with you until you started going on about the "brain chemicals" and "they fool themselves into enjoying it" BS. Just because people like you and me don't like Sonic doesn't mean that those who do are delusional or something. Everyone has their own opinions on things. You really shouldn't go around parading your own opinion as a fact, because it makes you come across as a complete jerk.
@Yosher Well you're not wrong lmao. But I think the addition of a Fortnite character would spawn a wave of salt that would dwarf the Byleth and Steve controversies. People are REALLY negative about Fortnite these days.
$49.99? Hell I'd give my first-born for a new WarioWare game for Switch. Love this series to absolute bits. After how excellent Gold was I have high hopes for a sequel.
@peppermillian Ahh right, I see it now. I'd thought it was the Snorlax because of the tree and grass on it, but I'd forgotten Gigantamax Snorlax was a thing that existed. Thanks for your help!
I remember believing the "Galaxy DS" hoax as a kid and being super disappointed when I discovered it was fake, so this is really cool to see! If this is indeed being played on actual DS hardware, then this is some really impressive stuff and I have nothing but respect for the devs.
@DarthRevan456 I get that lmao, I'm just messing. Just find it kinda funny that they wrote an entire article on some random tweet Doug made about mountain biking.
@SoManyHaveDied Of course they do, it's a Pokémon game after all.
Not to mention that the game has improved ALOT since its initial release, it's much more fun now.
@Arglas_ I feel you on that, I've been hyped for this remake for ages. I was soooo annoyed when I saw it had already sold out on the official Nintendo store. I noticed that Amazon UK haven't even got round to adding the base game to their listings yet though, so maybe there's still hope? Amazon usually tend to sell limited editions of games from my experience.
@Xeno_Emblem I don't think its people having a "more equals better" mindset, I think it's more so about value for money. The US is getting an inferior special edition for what's probably a similar price to the UK version. They just want to get the most out of their money, and don't understand why Nintendo made different versions of it for the US and UK in the first place.
@Arglas_ Couldn't agree more. I got lucky and was able to get the UK version thanks to this comment section, but it's ridiculous that it sold out this fast in the first place. Nintendo keep doing crap like this, not making enough of the product to meet demands (the amiibo shortage situation comes to mind). They need to get their act together.
@olekmorawski Just went back on and checked. It didn't have the "Register Interest" button when I ordered mine, which I take to mean they've unfortunately sold out there too. Sorry

It's the perfect time to use up some Lucky Eggs.

@Yosher "a Fortnite character in Smash"
Oh god, don't even joke about that. The Smash fandom might actually go nuclear.

Ah, here comes all the pre-E3 hysteria. How I've missed it.
Fr though I totally understand the people here talking about how creepy kpop culture is, it's practically cult-like.
