My 3ds is now stable,
It stands upright next to the Switch on the table,
Albeit gathering dust,
Hopefully it's components won't rust,
But where's that darn charging cable XD

I suppose as well the fact that it's the portable version gives it a premium, thus you can buy capcom or any other games cheaper else where but if you want it portable, pay the higher price. Comes with owning a switch I suppose.

I think it's my wallet that hates my love of Nintendo software Haha! And in all fairness the polish Nintendo puts into all of its products really justifies the price. Dam you capcom, up your polish and remake game son

At the risk of gaining hate here, I'm sort of with @sixrings on this. Yes these games are over priced for sure, but nindey charging 50 clams for what is in essence a port is hard to swallow. Don't get me wrong full remake of zelda is epic, no question, but the price is so hard to swallow when the likes of pokemon, DQXI and the such are at the same price for much much bigger games. I guess my question is, can you hate on capcom when Nintendo are in essence doing the same thing?

Hells yes!! Love the HLM series, and it's one of those games that'll fit perfectly on the switch. Well happy about this news

I'm looking forward to this. I've always wanted to play a SAO game. So much so I nearly bought a Sony console in one of its many forms. But the justification of a games console for a single game is a hard pill to swallow... Sooooo with bated breath, I simply await their arrival on the switch!! Yay

I love my little 2ds, it's my go to when commuting, but I do wish Nintendo would decide, let it die, or give it a resurgence. It's like when the switch came out, they let developers move away from the DS but won't put it out to pasture.

Upon writing this it occurred to me, it's money. The day they say the ds is dead is the day parents stop buying it for the kids. So, I can understand a little more now. Nintendo gots bills to pay too yo

@Giygas_95 dude, tell me about it. I used to think it was gaming fatigue. Perhaps now it's just life fatigue and gaming seems too frivolous when put next to things that "matter"... Kids, don't ever grow up. It sucks

I've only ever bought one Etrian title on my 3ds and the one tile movement and self mapping couldn't get me wrapped up enough to finish it. Ya know a couple hours in i was like, let's find anything else to do.

But I can't imagine with the clout of this franchise they'll drop Etrian Odyssey. I think for Atlus this will be the last outing on the 3DS but rest assured friends, they'll make more games and they'll fit the switch, no doubt, no doubt.

I'm well interested in the batman game, but hesitant because of Telltales recent demise ... Presumably then this is a complete game with no dlc, no cliffhangers, nothing. Which, is weirdly refreshing... Might wait for a sale

And it was, in Japan and America, just not in Europe. So my excitement above is for the European release

@anti-matter dude, YouTube the volume difference between the two consoles. My experience is the speaker quality is fine on both. If you want it louder, plug in your headphones

Also, YAY MINECRAFT ON 3DS FINALLY?!! So happy. I'm far more inclined to take my 2ds out in public than my switch, so Minecraft on the go with buttons, hell yes.

Good article. I like what you're saying and it all makes sense. I think with the phone app people grumble about, that means you can play and chat for longer too by using your phone's battery and internet connection rather than making the switch use more battery by running a whole other app on its little system, whilst playing a 30/60fps game, all whilst being online. Bottom line, I'm super happy and all grumblers should Shhhhhh and enjoy the fact we've got such an epic creation in our hands.

I, for one, cannot wait for this to be released. My 90's was largely spent on my sega megadrive, and playing these classics (and a few I missed as a kid) is like revisiting an old friend just on a newer system.

I would say Rocket League. But after 300 hours on my pc, I've finally deleted both that and my switch editions, because 300 hours of no story is not as fun a the numbers may suggest.

So this weekend Mathew I'll be playing FFXV Pocket edition

I'd say I'm 90% handheld, 10% docked purley for the rare occasions I play split screen. But it'll be interesting to see if it changes with more heftier titles on my to buy list (xb2, ya VIII etc.) Where as currently I pick up an play Rocket league or Fortnite.

What a game! This along with Sonic 2, Streets of Rage 2 and Forgotten World's were literally my 90s. So glad it's being ported to the switch. Now to wait for the European version..... -.-

@nintendolife Guys, the release date for UK/EU is wrong. It's still not out on the eShop at the time of writing this (the 7th of November 2017) sooooo, yeah you might wanna change the information you've put up there

I'm going to buy this game. And love it. I love it on my pc. I hated it on my android. To have it portable, with physical buttons on a console that has been just superb over the last decade is awesome. Yes $30 is steep but I've spent far more on less.

Minecraft on a 3ds? It's meant to be. Better late than never right

Looks like we'll just have to buy the switch version. Which is arguably much better. So, all is not lost

Any idea when it's out in the UK? I've searched for it on the eshop and it doesn't appear to be there...
