Re: Preview: Mario Kart 8

Can't wait to play this. Last time I played a Mario Kart game was the one for the DS. So many hours of local multiplayer fun and this will be even better.

Re: EA Boss Peter Moore Apologises For Frostbite's "Stupid" Wii U April Fools Prank

Excep7ional

@wombatkidd People shouldn't be getting "pissed off' in the first place over a joke. You guys say you don't like nor care for their games and/or thoughts anyway so what's the point in throwing a fit? Plus, I really don't think Nintendo even cares what EA has to say. Like I said, if anyone is getting "pissed off" just because of this then they are overreacting. As a Nintendo fan, this didn't bother me in the slightest.

Re: Feature: The Biggest Wii U Games of 2014 - Spring Edition

Excep7ional

This list is pretty cool. Since I don't have a Wii U I won't vote, but if I did it would certainly go to X. Game looks fantastic to me. Mario Kart 8 and Smash are going to be fun no doubt, and Bayonetta 2 looks great as well. Might pick up the first one and see what I think about it then.

Re: Nintendo Passing on PAX East 2014

Excep7ional

@allav866 From what I have seen so far, the Wii U definitely has the better stages. All of the ones shown on the 3ds has been super bland to me, which is a shame since I have to get the 3ds version.

Re: Weirdness: The Legend of Zelda's Master Sword Appears to be in PS4-Exclusive inFAMOUS: Second Son

Excep7ional

Honestly, fanboy extremist suck, and console wars suck. It's not even fun anymore because people take it way too seriously. Not targeting anyone in this comment section, just saying. As for this article, I think this is awesome. I love InFAMOUS and I'm playing through Ocarina of Time right now, and it's easily one of the best games I have ever played. Seeing an Easter Egg like this is a treat for someone like me.

Oh man. After looking at that picture, I'm sitting here imagining a Legend of Zelda game with those kind of graphics and detail. That could be all kinds of awesome if the game was done right.

Re: Shenmue 3 Could Happen Via A Kickstarter Campaign, Says Creator Yu Suzuki

Excep7ional

I would throw money at them over and over again. I really want to see the conclusion to this epic story. That, plus I want to train my martial arts moves in a park again, get into bar brawls after chasing someone and control cranes by the docks the next day lol. (Those of you who played the games will know the kind of things I'm talking about.)

Re: Yo-kai Watch Maintains Strong Run in Japan as 3DS Continues Battle with Vita

Excep7ional

@Hy8ogen From what I have been told, the Vita has good games in Japan, not to mention some that's coming out in the future. J Stars Victory VS (Also on PS3, but you know, handhelds reign supreme over there.) Phantasy Star Nova, Gravity Rush 2, and that new Sword Art Online game. That's just to name a few. I'm pretty sure there are a lot more that I missed though but you get the point. I just wish those games were coming over here to the west...

Re: Japanese Persona Q Limited Edition 3DS Revealed

Excep7ional

@JellySplat Yeah, I'm not sure how much Persona 3 costs now but when I bought P3P (Persona 3 Portable) it was $20, same for the ps2 version. The price may have went down though. If you like JRPG's, I'm confident you'll love Persona. Both Persona 3 and 4 are very long games so they will keep you occupied for some time.

Re: Japanese Persona Q Limited Edition 3DS Revealed

Excep7ional

@JellySplat Do yourself a favor and play Persona 3/4. Seriously, those two games are my favorite two RPG's of all time. If you don't have a Vita you might not be able to play Persona 4, unless you have a ps2 but you can still watch the 25 episode anime. Even if you don't like anime it's still a great watch. If you have a Ps3 you can download Persona 3 off the PSN store. Trust me, you'll enjoy those games.

I won't lie. I was skeptical about this game mainly because I don't like the Chibi art style, and the fact that it's not on a Sony platform (I'm used to Persona being Sony) but the Persona Fan side of me just jumped kicked the Skeptical/stubborn side of me. I can't wait for this game. Day 1 for me.

Re: Infamous Series was Originally Inspired by Animal Crossing

Excep7ional

@noctowl That's cool. I was young in the SNES and Genesis era so I don't remember much, but I did grow up with every other console after that (except the Wii). There are great games all around no matter what company.

Also, thanks for answering my question. Looks like I will rent it before I buy it.

Re: Infamous Series was Originally Inspired by Animal Crossing

Excep7ional

What makes Animal Crossing so much fun? Don't take this question as trolling because I'm really not. I was tempted to buy the game but I didn't want to buy into the hype and potentially regret it, so before I do I want to know what makes it so much fun. I looked at videos and everyone praises it to high heaven but I can't for the life of me see what's so interesting.

@noctowl Nah, I see you as an open-minded gamer.

Re: Remake Request: Virtua Fighter 2

Excep7ional

@TheRealThanos @WaveBoy Honestly, fighting games are a lot easier to get into when compared to the old days. The hardest thing about fighting games is the mental aspect, not the combps/specials. Being able to think on the fly about what moves to use in certain situations, what to do and what not to do along with the pressure of being able to pull off your moves is what put people off. So, your reflexes and timing are still being tested. The reason why I say fighting games are easier today is because developers are a lot more lenient when it comes to timing on the input presses. They make it more accessible so pulling off combos aren't that hard. Still, you need a huge amount of skill to play fighters, both old and new.

Re: Remake Request: Virtua Fighter 2

Excep7ional

@TheRealThanos Fighting games are hard. That's a pretty big reason why the genre have such a small community. In order to really enjoy them you have to practice at least a little bit to even stand your ground. I'm apart of the few who actually likes to stay in the training room for an hour or two to get better then go online to apply what I have learned to win. It's understandable why the majority hates that though, because sometimes it feels like work.

Re: Nintendo Still Seeking a Product to Define the GamePad, With Hopes of Sales Driving Third-Party Support

Excep7ional

@Rafie My PSN ID is Excep7ional, I do have a 360 but my gold ran out and I don't even remember my Gamertag to be honest. I haven't been on there in ages lol. Mind if I add you on PSN? You will rarely see me on though because there aren't any games out right now that I want to play. Once ULTRA comes out that'll change.

I'm a pad guy. I would love to play on Stick but I really don't feel like dishing out the money for one. I might buy a stick for cheap and buy customized parts but even that is still expensive. I have been playing fighters for around 18 years now. I still remember my very first fighting game I played was Street Fighter 2 for the gameboy Pocket, lmao. But yeah Lab time is an easy cure for scrubyness. I'm going to have to get some lab time in myself.
