While a 3d Starfy may not work, wouldn't a WiiWare one be great? You should ask them about that if you're still in contact with them, Corbie. Also, Minamioto is the coolest name. I want it so I can call everyone factoring hectopascals!
@ Nintendo Purist Me too, but it doesn't matter too much because I guarantee if it doesn't Game Traders will be selling import copies, or I could always get it off the net.
"Let your kids butcher Orcs like cattle and watch their heads roll around on the ground! Let them watch their friend be murdered in front of their eyes after he is corrupted by an evil ring! Let them see Gollum writhe and scream as he is boiled alive! Coming soon to a game store near you!"
Ah, Squeenix loves making people pay extra to get the full game. They have pulled a Space Invaders Get Even yet again. Thank god they can't put DLC on my TWEWY!
@ Jeroen I actually asked my friend today what he thought, and he said it was worse mainly because of the hub system opposed to the open-ness of the first, and also the levels themselves are more linear. I've only played Superstar Saga, and if this is even better then Nintendo just won my moneys. Also what do you mean by "more focus on basic action?"
@ Nintendo Purist It's at all Targets nationa-wide. Well, it was. At Boxing Day. And GBA Pokemon games are not hard to find. I'd trade you Ruby and Fire Red for a Decent DS or Wii game if you want.
@ Corbie
What type was it?
My mate recently paid $30 aussie (~US$20) for an SP. Micros were recently going at Target for AU$20. So either way, WTF?
And half a million sales for the GBA compared to 30 million or something for the DS/DSi isn't really worth bragging about. But with the cheap consoles and probably cheap (read: counterfeit) games in these "emerging markets" it doesn't seem like too bad an idea.
BTW corbie, can you ask your friend if he'll buy a new sealed copy of some old piece of poo game I never actually opened? I got a sealed copy of Shantae for the GBC (never got around to playing it because I never had a GBC or GBA). How does $200 sound? I mean it's a much better deal than $5 on eBay!
@ Sonic Master 1) That's not sarcasm... 2) To my knowledge WayForward is both a small and nice dev. They will probably give you a straight answer
If i may ask though, why didn't you just go to WayForward.com and click contact in the first place? Although I must ask, why didn't you just go to wayforward.com and click contact in the first place?
@ Neomega I don't have health care. I know that your government's lack of regulation in the banking sector messed up the whole world's economy. I know that now the education in America is one of the worst in any developed countries. But hey, at least you get to use huge bombs to kill terrorists. Three cheers for Bush! Here's hoping Obama does an even better job than he did.
@ Hardy83 Until they release an iPod Touch/iPhone with a D-pad, Joystick, some face buttons and L and R triggers, (and maybe a better pricing system to encourage more "real" games rather than encourage excessive amounts of quick ) it will never be a gaming machine. Looks at his DS games and remembers that the iPhone will never get a game of TWEWY's standard
@ Sonic Master I personally wouldn't because: a) That's a bit dog. b) They'll probably be able to tell that you're lying. You'd be better off asking one of the Nlife staff to ask the devs (if they're a huge corporation like Sqaure nix or Nintendo), or just ask yourself and don't lie if they're a small dev like Two Tribes or something. From my experience, small devs can be really nice and helpful, whereas big devs with customer support departments never actually support their customers.
@ SonicMaster They're not hard to contact. Just find the email on their site and ask them something. Don't expect a proper reply, though, unless you write "BTW I help run the most reputable source for WiiWare news in the world." Just for clarification: I'm not saying Corbie doesn't know developers, I'm saying he doesn't have to to get news.
@ Objection I think it's closer to 1000 per month. Otherwise they wouldn't bother with it, as they would lose more money than they'd gain. However, if you happen to be reading this Capcom, making a game subscription based is a REALLY bad way to introduce it to the western audience.
@ The Fox #19. Simply untrue. I hate that BS argument as much as I hate pirates saying Wii games cost AU$100 and DS games cost AU$70 (I usually pay $50 or $30 aussie for mine). Anyway, I managed to run BioShock in max quality in 1280*1024 (slightly higher resolution than 1440*900, the standard for a 19") with a Processor from 2004, a ~US$50 graphics card (from a year ago), and 1.5gb of RAM. Basically to upgrade my computer to run Crysis in High detail it would cost about $US70, but since the Bioshock rig I have spent another ~US$70 on a 3.3ghz Dual core processor (e5200 OC). PCs are actually about as cheap as consoles, and you only have to upgrade the graphics card every 2-3 years, and the processor every 4-5 years, usually going for the product between budget and high end (which is a joke because nothing takes advantage of high end parts). Plus the games on PC are cheaper, and 100% region free.
LOL, VGP and Corbie are mental! Shooters have better controls, graphics, online, price and controls on a PC. Why would you get the inferior 360 version!?
@ Cheese I was saying you could import the Special Edition from the UK. Plus, I assumed you didn't know about region codings otherwise you would have said "I live in Australia" rather than "I have an Australian Wii." But for all I know, the Special Edition might not even be available in Australia. Anyway, it's not that great. Just some silly cover and a red skin for an ingame item which you could probably hack on with GeckoOS. But based on all the bold text it seems you wants, so just wait until closer to the release date or maybe get it from the UK.
Yeah, but I'm sure Katamari on the PSP blows the iPhone version out of the water (not that I would know; I don't own either). Also, actually thinking about it, the horrible controls would kill Toki Tori. Still, I would buy one if they were about $70 or something. Maybe.
@ Kawaii I know there are some decent iPhone/touch games. They just don't compare to good DS/PSP games. Plus while I haven't played Wolfenstein 3D, I can guarantee the controls would be rubbish, probably with an on-screen joystick thing. It's obvious that the iPhone wasn't designed for games, and while those ones you mentioned might be worth the price, they will never compare to TWEWY, Zelda or Patapon. Hell, probably every game on the App store is worse that DQ Heroes Rocket Slime, and that's $25 Aussie from EB games now (Buy it NOW Kawaii). And iPhone games aren't crafted with love like "proper" indie games either, like World of Goo, Aquaria and even 65 Million and 1 BC. Those games had years of polish and love, whereas iPhone games feel like pre-betas, you know what I mean? However, that being said, I'm sure someone will make an exception to that rule. Eventually...
Heh, I've played an Ipod Touch. They're nothing to rave about. The controls in most games are terrible (No buttons, only a touch screen and a SixAxis- type thing), and the games are very simple and lose their fun-ness quickly, unlike a "proper" game on the DS like TWEWY or Elite Beat Agents. And yes, while the games are only AU$8-ish compared to AU$30 for a DS game, you'll probably get 10x the value from a DS game. Basically, you're better off spending the money buying 6 Wii games/10 DS games, or even (dare I say it) a PSP and a few games.
REALLY? (sarcasm BTW. I can see your flag) Anyway, European games work on an Aussie Wii without a chip or homebrew. Just look at your game discs! The serial number on most is RVL-XXXX-EUR. Plus I got a few games with European packagings and ratings, purchased at GAME in Australia. American and Japanese games aren't the same, though.
Wait, so this has no random sound glitches, lag, or crashing if rumble is turned on right!? You seemed to mention glitch-free, but have they fixed that lag. It was more annoying than the sound to me.
Oh, and I might be getting a big TV soon. Do (PAL) VC games look carp on it? If so is there a way to fix it?

Wait... I thought God was. Now I'm confused. Are you trying to tell me that there are inconsistencies in the Bible?
Re: Capcom Looking To Port More Games To Wii?
RE5 Wii edition would be pretty good. The only reason Chop Till you Drop sucked was because they put no effort in.
Re: Nintendo Fandom Downcast At Revelation That Miyamoto Is "Not God"
Yeah, Iwata is right. Miyamoto is not God, just Jesus.
