Re: There Are "No Plans" To Bring The Full Pokédex To Pokémon Sword And Shield, And Future Games Will Follow Suit

I just don't get it.

If it's to control how you progress through the main game, then why not lock when the national dex / your old pokemon are available?

If it's to control the competitive scene then lock down what is / is not allowed ?

If it's to save effort from an already stretched dev team, then maybe its worth investing in / recruiting a bigger / better team . Or postpone the annual release. This is one of the biggest franchises on the planet, to say its not worth it is an insult to fans everywhere.

@ShadJV Its just the idea that it is not worth the effort...for one of the biggest gaming franchises ever...so we can agree that the PR has not been handled well...at all!

I'm torn whether to get the game as I love pokemon but I don't want to give them my money for something that is potentially half baked, it just sends the message that its acceptable. But we'll see what happens down the line...

After all "Gotta Catch Em All" has been the tag line since the first games.

@ShadJV

Fair to say its different from Gen 3. Was just pointing out that the National Dex was there.

Fair to say don't know what GF / Nintendo will implement down the line but you are right, patches and DLC are a thing that didnt exist back then.

Personally I'm not fussed whether the whole dex is playable or not the only bit that irks me is the interview where they said it was "too much work" ! This is one of the biggest franchises on the planet, if its too much work, that say they don't care enough, because everyone will buy it anyway. I feel that this sets a dangerous precedent for the quality of future games.

Re: Nintendo Thinking About Extending Switch Online Retro Library Beyond NES Software

I don't even mind paying for it either as another subscription, a collection (physical or download), or even individual titles on the eshop just throw us a bone Nintendo. We just want some way to play legacy titles on current hardware.

You'll more than make back whatever the negligible cost is. I just can't understand why you don't want to make more money from your extensive back catalogue. Your competitors have realised and capitalised on this notion.

Re: Rumour: "Cheaper Version Of The Switch" Expected To Launch By The End Of June

DynamoDouglas

This is Nintendo's replacement for the 3DS this is going after a different segment of the market. If you have a switch this is probably not for you.

But more consoles sold = more money for Nintendo = more great Nintendo games and potentially prolonging the life of the switch which is a win for all switch owners.

And more consoles sold = more attractive to third party devs which is another win
