Re: Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack Release Date And Pricing Revealed

Donkey-Kong-Fan

Nintendo I love you to death, but I just cannot pay for this. The maximum I would’ve been willing to pay for the expansion pack is $40, but this price point is ridiculous. I really hope you consider lowering the price, maybe remove the Animal Crossing update from the expansion pack because I’m paying for that separately.

Add the Gameboy line, GBA, GameCube, Wii, THEN the service will be worth $50.

Re: Talking Point: As The Fan-Made 2D Metroid Prime Game Is Shut Down, Where Do You Stand On Nintendo's Takedowns?

@CharlieGirl I agree with you entirely. Unfortunately, most people I’ve seen online DO seem to be hating Nintendo. I also want Nintendo to get better because I love them. I wish most people here took the stance of criticizing Nintendo while still loving them but that’s not the case. Especially on Twitter where people have only been hurling insults and nothing more. It’s all hatred.

@NinjaGuy69 You’re not my friend and you don’t care about me either, so why should I listen to you? The people I’ve seen responding to this certainly have not done it in a respectful manner. I literally just got off Twitter, and all I saw there were people hurling insults towards Nintendo and all of its fans. People there have called me pathetic, dumb, sad, and so many other things I won’t repeat. I’m not the only one receiving this either, it’s anyone who merely likes Nintendo. And you defend them while at the same time you tell me “Nintendo’s not my friend” all because you want to come off as deep and edgy.

I kinda wish you didn’t make this article, because all you’re doing is opening Pandora’s box for people who hate Nintendo. As if that wasn’t already done with the first article about this, now you had to make another one days later. So thanks for that…

But regarding my stance, yeah I don’t agree with it. I wish Nintendo took a different route regarding fan games, but at the same time, I’m not going to hate Nintendo, and call them and their fans names like so many other people here have been doing. I can acknowledge Nintendo’s flaws while still loving them. My criticisms of Nintendo come from a place of love for them, not hate. Too bad people online just refuse to accept that line of thinking, and instead resort to insulting Nintendo and all of its fans. If someone you were friends with did something wrong, would do you think turning on them and calling them names would be the correct route to take? That might not be the perfect analogy, but it explains my stance on this in layman’s terms. I have just as much of a right to be a loving fan of Nintendo just as much as haters online have a right to make complete bungholes of themselves.

Re: The Fan-Made 2D Metroid Prime Game Has Been Forced To Shut Down

If it really was Nintendo who shut down this project and you disagree with the decision, that’s fine.

But I am sick and tired of low-life extremeists on Twitter and Reddit who insult Nintendo and all of its fans, telling me that I’m not allowed to love Nintendo and admire them as a company. I’m tired of people trying to make me feel bad for what I love. I’m tired of people who try so hard to discourage me from being a fan of them and pursuing my dream to work for Nintendo. I cannot fathom why these people feel the need to do all of this. Why can’t our stances just be that we love Nintendo, but at the same time we acknowledge that they have flaws to fix? Instead, awful people on these sites call Nintendo and Nintendo fans names because their mindsets are so void of substance that they place their hatred in a gaming company of all things.

All I want to do is love Nintendo in peace, and I constantly encounter these neckbeard bullies that want to discourage me from just being a fan even though I’ve never done that to fans of any other company. I’m sorry for cursing, but if you’re one of these people, go f*** yourself.

Re: Nintendo's Directors Receive Increased Pay After The Past Year's Success

@BloodNinja Considering the fact that Nintendo delays their own games just to ensure their developers health, employees giving the company pretty good ratings on how the company treats them, and the fact that the late CEO of the company took a pay cut just to not fire any employees, I think it’s safe to say that Nintendo’s developers and employees are just as happy as the people on top.

@The_New_Butler Quit your lies already. Sony and Microsoft’s drifting issues ARE just as bad as the joycons. How else would you explain both of them going through the exact same lawsuit Nintendo is going through, and the fact that videos exposing drift on PlayStation and Xbox are just as popular as the ones on Nintendo?

No matter the issues Nintendo is going through right now, they will redeem themselves from all of them. In the longrun, Nintendo will prove to be one of the best companies in the world. They already make amazing games consistently, and they treat their employees very well. At its core, Nintendo is an amazing company, that just has issues it needs to solve. When they do solve said issues, we will all be happy and Nintendo will prove to be one of the greatest, as always.
