Re: Soapbox: The Switch Presentation Was Good, but Not Perfect

Orange + blue combination doesn't look too appealing. I like the black/grey much better.
Also I won't be buying the Switch. 300$, paid online, no games at launch except for Zelda, not enough third party support for future. Mario looked amazing but I won't be waiting till the holidays to play it.
Unless Nintendo drops the price, I can't see it selling either, in fact, I'd be surprised if it managed to surpass Wii U sales at this point.

@Utena-mobile Nah, dude. I read your comment about 5 times and still didn't understand what you were trying to say. Didn't get much sleep.

The game is shaping up great. In fact, it looks like it'll have as much of an impact like OOT did back in late 90s. I can't believe it's still a year away. Good thing I have other Zelda's to play in anticipation of this one.

Re: Bethesda Doesn't Rule Out Nintendo NX Support, But "It's Too Early to Say"

@IronMan28 It's ultimately Nintendo's fault. They have much more money than they're willing to spend, if they spent some of that on improving developer relations and making exclusive contracts then I can assure you the games would've been better and we'd probably be seeing third party support for the Wii U even at times like this. Nintendo has basically given up and has no idea what to do. They're so out of touch it's ridiculous.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Scoops Major Best of Show Award from E3

@Snow-Dust That's very good to hear. As for me, the original E3 reveal back in 2014 is what caught my attention. I had never played a Zelda game before but the more I read about the games and the lore, the more it intrigued me. And, inevitably, I had to try some games.

Asked on a message board for suggestions and since I've never really played an RPG or a 'dungeon explorer' with puzzles, they suggested I try Minish Cap just to get an idea of the 'real' games. I never knew the game would have secrets and collectibles in every corner of the world, it's amazing. Then when I tried the other Zelda games, I was completely overwhelmed by the amount of content.

I'm mostly a 'casual' player, if you will. I don't really care what's mainstream or not, as long as the game interests me. I've only finished a handful of games and I have to say I love games that emphasise exploration. I love the GTA games and the whole non-linear system they use in them. And I found the crux of the gameplay between these two series to be similar.

I love how you can always just stop and go back to the town in the Zelda games and buy a few potions right in the middle of a dungeon.

Needless to say, I'm absolutely hyped for BoTW. Probably more so than any other game before. And I agree, it's the physics, the 'choose-your-own-aproach' and the general exploration of the game that interests me the most.
