@MechZahn That’s impossible. I just booted it up to make sure. I have this on PC and Switch 2, the Switch version gives you two options: performance or graphics. If you choose graphics it visibly runs worse. It doesn’t look terrible in performance mode but if you toggle them you can see how much worse it looks in areal time. You aren’t being honest and that will fool people into a purchase with false expectations. Outlaws does run well as does Cyberpunk, but some games are clearly not being optimized. This game should run in graphics mode easily but doesn’t. That’s the truth.

@MechZahn I just double checked and I have the update and it doesn’t look as good. You can toggle the performance and graphics setting and see it downgraded. It doesn’t run well in graphics mode at all. I just won’t be buying any more 3rd part games on my Switch 2.

@MattmanForever When was the patch? Last time I booted it up was just a month ago. Compared to the PC version it is very bad and this isn't a 3d game so I thought it would look the same.

The first game looked so bad compared to the other platforms that I felt cheated. I won't be buying this one on Switch 2 for that reason. Zero reason this shouldn't look amazing but I won't fall for it again.

I didn't play much Switch 1 due to the poor performance of so many 3rd party games, now having a Switch 2 it seems it really isn't much better and most of the Switch 1 games I wanted don't have updates. Honestly Switch 2 will just be for Nintendo games it seems and I'll have to buy everything else on my PC still.

@silverninja 100%, I have them on PC, but a remaster to every system should happen.

Still can't find one. I am going to take a long breather, it's been too crazy and I got one for my daughter so I am just going to wait a few months or so until I can easily walk in and buy one.

My two daughters love Pokemon but recently told me they are both done with the cards because its just too hard to find anything. They'd rather buy figures etc. and I cannot blame them. Pokemon cards used to be fun but has turned into garbage by scalpers and the Pokemon company just feeding into it with even rarer cards. Honest shame.

I got one preordered for my daughter, but since I can only get one I'll have to wait for a while to get mine. Maybe by Thanksgiving, but dropping another $500+ right now isn't happening.

My issue is that I am not certain the Swtich 2 is going to play older games better. The Switch version of most 3rd party games are the worst ones to exist, even most Indie titles. So with Switch 2 I won't just be able to play my older games that now run better from what is sounds without Nintendo making adjustments. With a Steam Deck that will never be an issue. Yeah I won't get to play Mario or Zelda but that's okay if my other 98% of games always run well. I love the lego games and unless all of them now look great and run well on Switch 2 then I don't see a point in upgrading cause they all run and look amazing on Steam Deck and that would carry over to any future Steam Decks as well.

@Metazoxan Well that's me, I rarely pay full price for games. As an American all my costs are going up so games are a secondary thing if I have extra so those only get bought when on sale.

@Metazoxan I get most of my games on Steam for half that though. Going to be hard to buy anything but Nintendo's titles if this is the case which means I could just wait a year then come in where I have more choice. I really wanted Switch 2 to be my main system but this just means it can't be with these prices.

The only way I see this is Switch 2 will price out lots of families. I plan to get one for my daughter as her birthday is in June, but I don't think I can do $80 games on the regular and $450 for the system. She mostly plays Pokemon so she won't be buying much but for me I may have to stick with PC this gen even though I love the games Nintendo has shown. It would be the first Nintendo system I didn't buy, and the first I didn't buy when it launched.

I am confused, 4k resolution...Switch cannot do that so why is this game advertising that when I didn't see a Steam version only Switch and Google Play store. Is the 4k only on Android maybe?

@mariomariowario DQ monsters and Pokemon came out the same year with DQ being just a few days earlier so not sure how much copying happened but both favor each other in monster design. That's a fact. I don't like Palworld and don't play Pokemon so I honestly don't care, but as I stated I do not think this has anything to do with the designs as that would be hard to prove versus whatever patent Nintendo is claiming which seems to be the throw object and capture mechanic, but we'll see. You really need to calm down by the way, you got way too heated for something I have nothing to do with and neither do you, this is two large companies battling it out here.

Dragon Quest Monsters came first, then Pokemon which borrowed heavily in the designs from DQ Monsters. So this can't be about designs etc, otherwise Enix could sue Nintendo for Pokemon. So it must be the mechanics etc that may have patents, something that DQ Monsters never shared with Pokemon. Should be interesting.

@DripDropCop146 I stopped the playing the second one as it just keeps being fetch quests etc and those are the only way to get better weapons and it is just dragging on forever.

I honestly hate the Game Awards show and haven't watched the last two and won't be watching this one. It's far easier to just catch highlights after then to slog through the show. I feel the same about other award shows too though. I love Nintendo and gaming but no way I am sitting another one of those lol.
