Re: Square Enix Trademark Reveals New Mana Game

Denkou

I really hope this is something good, but knowing square, they're just going to butcher this thing entirely. The last three mana games ranged from adequate to terrible, and I fear that squeenix is intent to maintain that pattern. Quote from the main producer of SoM: "The mana series is whatever I want it to be." Seeing as how squeenix has a personal vendetta against its fanbase, this may not be what anyone is hoping for. Good news for iOS gamers though.

Re: 10 Minutes of English Kingdom Hearts 3D Footage

Denkou

Needs moar TWEWY. Josh got more lines then Neku did. Although I love the kingdom hearts series, the fact that TWEWY is involved in the game at all completely overshadows the fact that kingdom hearts in general is my 3rd favorite game/series. 1st being TWEWY and 2nd being Pokemon.

Re: The World Ends With You Follow-up Teased by Square Enix

Denkou

HALLELUJAH! I AM SO PSYCHED!!!! (get it? PSYCHED?) Anyways, a sequel to this game would be fantastic. I would go as far as to say that The World Ends With You is the best game I have ever played. And yes, I have played games like Mario 3, Link to the past, portal, etc.

Re: Marth's Fire Emblem: Awakening DLC Debut Confirmed

Denkou

This I can actually understand. Traditionally, fire emblem games have one "lord" unit per party, which is the main protagonist. The most noteworthy exception is sacred stones, when you have both Eirika and Ephraim. In this fire emblem, the player will not only have the main lord, but their own "my unit" character. Having Marth in the game from the get-go would just be overpowering in favor of the character. This way, a player can choose to make themselves insanely powerful or not. Of course, there's always the option to have a character and just not use them but.... I'm just going to ignore that flaw in my argument.

Re: Talking Point: Is Wii U's Power Really That Important?

Denkou

I really don't care much about the power of the system. Sure, the super mario bros graphics didn't require a lot of power, but exactly how much more would one need? It looks perfect for the kind of graphical style it's using, and it doesn't need to be more powerful. Eventually, graphics are going to be irrelevant, as there WILL be a certain point where graphics cannot be enhanced anymore. This is what I call the "reality limit." Graphics simply cannot become more vivid and detailed then they are in real life. Eventually, we will reach the point where handhelds can play games that look as good as Crysis 2. Where do we go then? at that point, graphics can't be enhanced much more. At that point, graphical and processing power will be pretty much useless as it would reach a point where it could not advance any farther. Luckily, developers can actually focus on good gameplay at that point, not just fancy graphics to appease the salivating masses.

Re: Google Maps 8-bit for NES

Kinda a pitiful April fools prank if you ask me. I still personally think the "gameboy and gameboy advance games coming to DSiware!" prank was the best one.

Re: GameStop to Sell 3D Classics: Kid Icarus Too

Denkou

Hm... What advantages are there to download only video games? You don't have to leave your house to get them, you don't have to put in a new cartridge or disc to play them... Any others? No? then what are the disadvantages? Transferring them from one system to another is nearly impossible or just plain impossible, if the system breaks, there's nothing you can do about it... Hm... how can we make this better? I know! LETS MAKE A DOWNLOAD ONLY GAME THAT YOU HAVE TO GO TO A STORE TO BUY LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLO- gets shot

Re: Nintendo America Dates Upcoming 3DS Games

Denkou

Sigh... No Kingdom hearts 3d... I wanted to see Neku in 3D by my birthday. (March 31st, which is ever so conveniently located at the EXACT end of the first quarter). Oh well. Soon enough I guess.

Re: 3D Classics: Kirby's Adventure Trailer Hits Europe

Denkou

My reaction:
"3D classics: Kirby's adventure trailer...
Me: OMG YESYESYES
"hits Europe"
Me: D: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
Yeah I'm a horrible, whiny person. I am well aware. Hopefully we'll get the same thing in America soon too.

Re: Here's How Super Mario 3D Land's Gyroscope Controls Work

Denkou

Oh thank GOD. I was worried that it was going to be a control scheme and ninty would have to modify the game to make it playable with the gyroscope controls. The gyroscope has been nothing but miserable for the 3ds. It completely ruined monkey ball 3d. Way to easy.

Re: Talking Point: 3DS Launch Line-Up Lacks Fresh Ideas

Denkou

I would just like to point out that this is only regarding the LAUNCH line up. Remember the original DS line up? I think the best games on it (not counting the metroid demo) are mario 64 ds, maybe ridge racer, and maybe mr driller drill spirits. Needless to say, the original DS line up wasn't exactly impressive, other then Mario 64. However, look forward to the future of the console. If you feel that it took this long, go to april 22 2008. While there were other revolutionary games on the console by that time, I will be using, as my example, none other than "The World Ends With You." Amazing fighting systems, great storyline, truly a revolutionary game for the system.

What I mean to say is that this is only the beginning of the 3DS and that there will probably be many great games to come. Heck, if they can cram an Xbox360 game onto the thing sacraficing a little bit of graphical powers and adding more content and features at launch day, think of what the system can accomplish a mere 2 years down the road. If you think about it that way, the system seems bound for success.

Re: Nintendo Likely to Retain Price Control in 3DS eShop

Denkou

I think it would be best if a company or individual developer could suggest a price to nintendo. That way, nintendo could see if the product is worth more, less, or equal to the developers ideal price. I think that would be the best way for things to work.

Re: Kirby Casts On a Disappointing UK Chart Debut

Denkou

Of course the delay had something to do with this. America recieved this game as the "perfect storm." Kirby had yet to make a standalone appearance on the wii (as in not in brawl) and the customers were anxious. The release rush lasted for a while, likely until mid november when it ended up on christmas lists across the continent (mine included) giving it a second rush. Europe had... well almost none of that. The anticipation for the game kind of died after america had it for almost half a year.

Re: Talking Point: Is the DS Dead at Retail?

Denkou

It's sad to see the DS dying. I cannot even begin to tell you how much fun I had when I first got the world ends with you. I still pick it up every now and then and every time I remember just how awesome it truly is.
