Loved both of these games so much! Remakes to keep them alive would be wonderful.

So many incredible choices but Phendrana Drifts from Metroid Prime was the first one that popped into my head. Such an atmospheric track that encapsulates the wonder of exploration and isolation in that game.

@KingMike Though I totally agree with your criticisms of the SNES game, I have to say I still had a wonderful time with it (warts and all). For someone into gaming at the time, there weren’t many options to immerse yourself into that universe. I do recall the soundtrack was excellent and atmosphere pretty solid. I was also really into the PC LOTR game released in the early 90s as well (the CD-ROM version had clips from the 1978 film).

As a long-time fan of Tolkien’s works, I’ve played pretty much every adaptation/interpretation so far. It’s been so long since there’s been much of anything in this universe in the gaming world, so I’d love some more attempts in pretty much any genre.

My love for Metroid began with the original for NES. It was one of the first games I got for my NES when I was gifted one in 1987. I have so many fond memories of exploring and mapping out the labyrinthine tunnels by hand in a notebook. I recall that my Dad also played and enjoyed it with me and we’d sometimes work together to map out the game. Have loved the franchise since!

Fond memories of playing through this game. Really excellent Breakout-inspired gameplay and an amazing soundtrack. Can’t wait to revisit it!

Always enjoyed the videos that I watched of theirs. Seemed like they had a lot of fun. Will miss their presence. Abrupt ending. Hopefully they’ll get to create some more content for Nintendo in the future.

Do we think our existing Switch libraries will be available to play on whatever the next Switch version is? I have such a huge backlog that I wouldn’t want to upgrade if I can’t access all my existing titles on the new console.

Really enjoyed both games in this series back when they released. Wonderful art, music, and the battle systems were incredibly fun. Would love to see a new entry or even a remaster. Playing through SteamWorld Quest reminded me of these games.

I especially hope the Switch library will transfer over/be compatible, as I have an extensive collection to get through someday (backlog issues).

It took a bit for me to get into this installment but once I did, I really ended up enjoying the story and the dungeon design. Overall, I didn’t have many issues with the controls either and thought it was generally clever. I don’t feel a deep desire to replay it (with an extensive backlog of stuff waiting), but it was a fun experience overall that I remember fondly.

I have the Luigi and Goomba toys somewhere. Remember the days of getting those happy meals and hoping for the best toys. Hard to believe it’s been 30 years!

Interesting that Link’s Awakening is nowhere to be found on the list, though maybe it’s because there weren’t any discounts on it in November?

I have very fond memories of both Baten Kaitos games and would love to either revisit them or play a new installment! SteamWorld Quest has been a fun spin on the gameplay systems of those titles.

At first hearing card-based I thought something similar to Hearthstone but watching the trailer it reminds me more of the Baten Kaitos series turn-based combat, which I really enjoyed. Very excited to play the next Steamworld game, especially as it looks to reignite a gameplay style which isn’t actuallly too common.

I find the Spirit Board really fun to keep trying to beat different challenges. I’ve spent more time there than in the World of Light mode itself.

I’ve really enjoyed the Kairosoft games on iOS but I’d suggest for an eshop sale before picking these up.

Fun caricatures of 80s and 90s action heroes and heroines for those who grew up with them. Had loads of fun with this on PS4 playing co-op with my sister.

Played this game a ton with my sister and brother back when it released even through the hassle of the GBA controller stuff. We had a great time and the soundtrack is wonderful. It is very charming and worth revisiting.
