Re: Nintendo: Wii U Basic Bundle Designed To Attract Core Gamers

Chunky_Droid

I have an external drive, so the flash memory really doesn't concern me, nor do I think it'll concern many 'core' gamers who'll pick it up, I think the external HDD is a welcome move console wise.

However, I think the fact that it's Black, comes with a game and a sensor bar is why core gamers will in fact buy the Premium edition anyway.

I really struggle to see why anyone would buy the white one, unless they really don't have money to put down for an extra game...

With all the will I or won't I get it conversations going, I personally think that I will buy it, I pretty much paid that much for it when Wii Sports Resort came out, and this looks a lot deeper than that to me

Also, I have kids whom I can play multiplayer with, perfect Chrissy game!

@Frapp: JB Hi-Fi aren't known for putting titles on pre-order if there's a chance they're going to have to give a whole bunch of money back if it's something that people won't be able to buy, this is something I have found out from knowing people who work at JB Hi-Fi.

They obviously know something, but as Nintendo haven't made any official announcements themselves, it can only be seen as a rumour. As its a rumour, this article has been made to make conversation, you became part of that conversation

@WolfRamHeart: I know what you mean, Bethesda wouldn't even admit that they couldn't handle the save file system on the PS3 even when the evidence was there.

Knowing Nintendo consoles I would imagine it would be a friendlier console do develop for as usual, with that being the case I think Bethesda would be insane not to go for it.

Nintendo would do well to get a couple of Bethesda games on their consoles to increase their legitimacy toward the 'core' gamer (whatever your perception of that may be).

Personally, I generally wait a couple of years after an Elder Scrolls game comes out before I decide whether the hundreds of updates will actually make it worthwhile in the end (I have only just recently bought Oblivion for the PS3 after guaranteeing I won't have a terrible time with it). I'm not even going to bother with Skyrim.

Apple is a HUGE competitor in gaming, and Google is increasing its speed too, I would say definitely moreso within the age bracket of anyone over 15 however, being that the majority of the AppStore/PlayStore users (I have no evidence to back this up, though I believe it to be common sense) are mobile phone users with credit cards capable of buying these games.

Personally, I can't stand iPhones themselves (I'm an Android user), though I can't stand playing games on my Android either, it's a clumsy mess in 90% of the games I should enjoy playing. However, this is a personal choice, I prefer my 3DS, then my Vita (still waiting for something I'm interested in other than Katamari that will get me back on it), then, if I have absolutely nothing left to do and I'm waiting for a doctor's appointment or waiting for a train, I'll play some Zombie Dash or whatever on my Samsung Galaxy SIII.

I hate playing anything by rubbing my thumbs all over the screen, ugh.

I'm yet to play TWEWY but as soon as I find a copy of the DS version I'm going to snap it up in an instant (which unfortunately, finding a copy where I live probably won't be an easy task )

They seriously tried to do everything different in the Gamecube era huh?

I'm old enough to say I've been there from the beginning, the SNES game is kinda hard to play now that I'm more used to the modern day versions though
