So if I have grasped this correctly, this software will enable you to stream PC software (you already own) from PC hardware (you already own) to (potentially) the Switch, whilst you're in the proximity of your 'home' wifi network. The same 'home' that contains the, potentially, 'ubèr' expensive PC - forgive me for being naive, but what is the point. Why play a compromised version of something, with lag, connection issues, possible resolution and text size issues, when you could just use that rather expensive PC sat in the corner instead?
As another note, I don't really think Nintendo are renowned for forfeiting control of their products in this kind if way. If it ever happened (I'm not convinced) it will come with a plethora of measures in place to limit/control it, I would think.
"Sorry but if you are attracted to the 'human face' that clearly looks young that tells me something about you"
I think all other arguments aside, this comment cuts to the point.
An artist/designer clearly has design choices (which, most likely are constrained to a client brief), in this case producing a set of characters which will perhaps resonate/appeal to a target/key demographic. By doing that the characters have a clear young/child like appearance, by virtue of anthropomorphic (human like) exaggerated features of a child); read - large head, small body combination. Kind of a creepy vibe when you hear adults are 'drawn' to these images.
Also the shorter one, I don't know their names (not played the game, yet) looks kind of like an evil elf.
I may get pulled to shreds for this post, but it's how I see it.
Unfortunately as a fully fledged adult with a family and (hefty) mortgage I am mostly impressed by renumeration or heavily reduced pricing. Not necesarily Nintendos problem, but a fact of my existence.
As a side note. I wonder what the margin is on the Switch (console only) and likewise for a big Nintendo game like Zelda/Mario? I've always thought the Switch pricing (in the UK) was a bit too high (hasn't stopped me ordering one though). And that it would be more appropriate (and sell many more units) at around the £200 mark.
Clearly they are selling though, so what do I know. Guess I'm just cheap 😉
Someone should buy that child a protective case, his Switch wont last 5 minutes the way he slings it into that bag, ungrateful little so and so. No sense of value the youth today.
And how on earth did that band of miscreants stay up all night playing Switch with only one small bottle of water between them? I await the Ridley Scott directors cut, which shows them in preparation for a hard gaming session by juicing up on some high glucose Mario Cereal.
Just to add, I can vouch for the build and durability of the NES30 Pro, picked up x2 of these earlier this year for a Raspberry Pi project, work a treat, gokd battery life, rock solid. Was glad to know these can be used with the Switch for multiplayer sessions.
On Friday I picked up the Switch deal with Mario (£279.99), after a chat with the wife, we decided to cancel. Felt a bit remorseful since. Saw this deal, I know nothing about Mario + Rabbids, but the reviews seem positive. Just snapped one up, after some frantic refreshing of my browser. Now just need to pick up Doom, L.A Noire, Mario Kart, Splatoon, Zelda, Rive, Axiom...,.May need to remortgage.
@Dazza Thanks again for the heads up. Possibly against my wifes wishes/advice I have just ordered my Switch (neon) with Physical copy of Mario Odyssey (preference was physical copy). Saved a couple of quid at least.
I think the takeaway message from this, is that the Switch is a portable console/handheld, and it is clearly doing well to be even contesting the current gen consoles. I would have been mightily surprised if he stated it was better in everyway to the PS4/XBox One variants.
Things have come a long way from the Game Gear/Game Boy ports of full console (SNES/Megadrive) games.
@Dazza Thanks for the heads up, reminder set. By the way, presumably the Mario Odyssey set doesn't come with a physical copy of Mario? Guess it's a download code, does anybody know?
My brother had the SF2 SNES (UK) for Xmas when released in the UK. At that point I had a Megadrive. To be honest I was always a little jealous of how much more capable the SNES seemed to be, "Mode 7" graphics and later "FX" chipped carts. I've never known the specs, but presumably the SNES was a more powerful 16bit console compared to the Megadrive?
@wariosmith appreciate your feedback. Maybe they've tried to mimic 'real life' a little to closely. So much for escapism. Doom is my radar also. Love all the originals, never played this current version.
I've been hanging on for a review of this game, reviews have appeared of other games which were released after (such as Skyrim), but no sign of a L.A Noire review, any reason? Will there be a review?

Re: Top Hunter Is Your Next Neo Geo ACA Release On Switch
'ARMS - the side scrolling beat 'em up edition'. Is this related to that coded message ahead of the latest ARMS update 😀
In all seriousness, I like the look of this for some easy going action, familiar with Metal Slug, but not encountered this before.

Thanks for the info, I've no doubt missed some good black friday deals on cards, but I'll do my homework, see what I can find.

@1UP_MARIO
x2 the debt, that's just greedy 😁
We are generally a 'very reserved, complain quietly nation', possibly one of the reasons we get stuck with heftier price tags on things.

I have high hopes for the new AIBO.

Share the wealth, reduce prices 😂

Appreciate that. Any suggestions for appropriate 128gb cards, best deals? (Not sure if that's allowed in the comments as I type it?)

What about the UK, will we get our fix of diabetes inducing cereal?
Re: Review: Resident Evil Revelations Collection (Switch)
I was recently considering options for a SD Card for the switch, looking at 64gb, clearly that's not going to cut the mustard,

Just missed the Amazon deal - Switch & Mario Ltd Ed for £279.99. Gutted.
Re: Hardware Review: WaterField Arcade Gaming Case for Nintendo Switch
They seem to have some nice alternatives which are wide enough to keep the Joy Cons on. Cheaper too, but more of a pouch than a bag (which I prefer)

Not just me then, I was beginning to think I was being a bit sensitive.
Re: The Next Penelope Dev Reminds Us That The Game Is Still Coming To Switch
This is very frustrating to watch, the camera jerking around and zooming in and out. The action/racing doesn't appear to flow smoothly either.
Maybe it plays differently, but I'm not sold on the video.
