The Next Penelope not coming to the Wii U is one of our biggest disappointments with Nintendo's past system; this gorgeous-looking top-down racer played like a dream on Steam and would have been perfect on a console. Sadly, it wasn't meant to be - but developer  said that it was his aim to release the title on Switch at some point.

He's now posted a timely tweet to remind us all that The Next Penelope on Switch is indeed still a "thing", and that a full trailer and release date are forthcoming.

Set in a futuristic version of ancient Greece, the game is like a cross between Micro Machines, Wipeout and a 360-degree shooter, with racing levels sitting alongside epic boss fights. We loved the game when we played it on PC, so this should be one to look out for on Switch.
