Plenty of genres have been covered already on the Switch eShop, but a bit of 3D brawling certainly won't go amiss. With that in mind it's good news that BadLand Games is publishing Heart&Slash on the system, with release set for December.
This brawler is treated as a roguelike, so each run throws up different stage designs and weapon pick-ups. What's particularly neat is that there are "up to 75 different weapons and 60 different robot body parts", which all affect how you fight and play. In theory that should keep things very interesting.
It looks like an intriguing title - let us know whether you're interested in the comments.

Looks interesting, it's on the radar now
On my list to look at
This could be great, it's certainly something different anyway. I just bought Mantis Burn Racing, Lumo and Mummy Demastered last night and was thinking about how many genres I now have covered and that there can't be too many left. I never considered 'Roguelike 3d beat-em-up' though.
Love beat em ups and this seems cool. I would love a demo too check it out.
@OorWullie I have all three of those games on my wishlist.... do you have one of the three you would recommend more?
I like the low poly / pixel / voxel art style!
Yes!... oh wait, toomanygamestokeepaneyeon noooooooooooo!
@Dayton311 I've only played Mantis Burn Racing so far so I can't really say. Mummy Demastered has 25% off at the moment so that's worth considering. Lumo looks to be well worth its release price with loads of content, I know I'm going to enjoy that one but it's not a game for everyone. From what I've played of Mantis Burn Racing, it's highly polished, looks superb, controls brilliantly and has a deep single player campaign. I can tell already it's a great game but unfortunately there doesn't seem to be anyone playing online, even with cross play enabled. The developer from what I've read has put a lot of work into the Switch version and it deserves to be successful. A review from Nintendolife would help.
I've been interested in the game for a while. It's been on steam for what seems like an eternity. I hope it finds a good home on Switch. Steam is a bit of a landfill these days
Intrigued, like the look of the simple, yet effective art style.
@OorWullie you should take a look at this then 😏

Amazing!!!
Looks really interesting. It looks like a 3D version of Muramasa: The Demon Blade in terms of gameplay, which is really good. This is on the radar.
This is a fun game.
@nf_2 well you have a sword. Thats where that ends.
I own this on Steam and it's a fun game that I thought would be perfect for the Switch. I must admit, I never actually expected it to appear on the console, but now I'm looking forward to playing it on the go!
