Promising 90s Arcade anything or retro anything always gets my hopes up. Then it turns out there's no added depth. A game can be pick up and play without being shallow.
@Arcticpandapopz That's a real bummer. It's not a big deal for them to ask me to do 2 or 3 steps of commonsense things like cycling the router and modem, but if I had to wait for an email to do each of those steps, that would be a major pain.
I only knew I had an issue because I was getting tired of disconnects on wifi. I play mostly Splatoon 3 online. After a few games, I was constantly getting drops. Strangely they would never happen in game, but in the lobby after a match. It was wait for a while, then I'd notice people in the lobby dropping, and finally communication error.
I went wired to fix that and found that it did not work, not at all. As if it wasn't even connected. It was several months after getting mine at launch before I even tried, but it was a quick repair/replace from Nintendo via chat.
@Arcticpandapopz About two months ago, I had to jump through very few hoops in a chat with Nintendo for them to offer to repair mine, which was actually a replacement. If your experience was long ago, maybe try again. I got the feeling that the rep knew this was a common issue and almost immediately sent it through for a quick repair/replace.
@HolyGeez03 Thank you for the ibb & obb recommendation. It looks like a lot of fun! My wife and I have been playing Pode, so I'm looking for other co-op games.
@YourDaddy MLB Power Pros on Wii was so good. I wish they would translate this series again. Even if it was the NPB league. Especially if it was NPB, actually!
@RadioShadow It's totally the blues and purples that get me. Can't speak for @CharlieGirl, but I'm red-green colorblind, so anything with red hue shading (like purple) is hard to differentiate.
Fun fact, any male biological children of a woman who is colorblind has 100% chance of also being colorblind. Thanks, Mom!
@SuperCharlie78 Same here. And I seem to be in the minority in thinking that it's superior to the iOS version. I liked that when you completed roads, cities, etc. that there was an animation and that they looked different after.
You took the thoughts right out of my brain. I’ve always pined for the NES era type of baseball games. Now, it seems, nobody cares unless it’s a licensed game.
It’s not on Switch ( how I wish it was), but SuperMega Baseball is amazing. I am dreaming that 2 will be, but I know better.
Put me in the Baseball Stars camp as far as best baseball game ever. Loved the Simulator series, High Heat on PC, and various other NES games (Dusty Diamond, Base Wars, Little League come to mind).
It would be so possible to make a Baseball Stars style game that I just hope an Indy studio pulls it off one day. My great wish has always been a stadium creator, even a rudimentary one.
When I win the powerball, I’ll make the company that makes my perfect baseball game.

Re: Poll: Have You Had Issues With The Ethernet Port On Switch 2's Dock?
@PrioryChat I had the same thing. It was easy enough to provide proof of purchase, but otherwise, isn't every Switch 2 still under warranty?

Re: Nintendo Direct: Mario Kart World: Every Announcement - How Would You Rate It?
I'm still perplexed that the Koopalings seem to have been given the axe. My wife is not happy that Wendy is out.

@cylemmulo RIGHT! I mean... not Moo Moo?

Re: New Open-World Physics-Based SpongeBob Game Listing Spotted Online
I also do not get the allusion.
Re: Super Mega Baseball 4 Steps Up To The Plate On Switch Next Month
The gameplay is less arcade-style than the visual style might lead you to think. The EGO system makes tweaking the game to your ability so easy.
I've loved this series since edition 1. I wonder if many people assume that it's all hyper-arcadey just because of the awesome style.
Re: Best Nintendo Switch Puzzle Games
Tricky Towers is very good. It's a game that needs a sequel!

Re: Best Nintendo Switch Puzzle Games
@CharlieGirl Seconded. Blue and purple puyos are wayyyy too similar in color. Tetris is fine.
Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 has a colorblind mode, but it doesn't do much to help me.
Re: Random: Daisy Fans Are Worried She's Been Dropped From Mario Strikers
I still don't understand how Wendy isn't more common in Mario games.

The 360 sounds were really cool, too.
