I've played both real & Pong Toss and enjoy both. All of my friends really enjoy playing Pong Toss every time I throw a party. I'm having a big 4th of July bash, I'll let you know how they like the new version. I never understood everyone's hatred of this game, I think it's great but then again I don't understand the whole retro fascination either... hummm
I don't know, world of goo took me close to a week. Granted I usually don't play in 14 hour stints I'll still pick this up next week, looks fun and I want to support the developers hard work.
Wow, like 5 seconds of game play and did you see how slow the guy jumped onto the bunker was? It looks like its having frame rate issues... Id be more interested if it wasn't war themed...
I just watched the video and it looks horrible... Im starting to think that im really out of touch. I mean, why did Nintendo even come out with the Wii if the only thing on it are 8 bit games...
Rats... I love shooters but after seeing the video I was extremely skeptical. This might be one of the the first reviews that actually sways my opinion and I'll pass.
Sweeet, the screen shots look better then Pub Darts. I would like to see a video but i'm probably picking this up. The review on Pub Darts kind of scared me off. I've been dying for a good darts game.
@110electropercent ouch You know that's one of the things I love about WiiWare, everyone is always crying ohh its 8 dollars or 10 dollars is too expensive but even at 10 dollars you can get 3 to 5 games compared. I've bought probably 90% of everything that's come out on WiiWare and never once did I go.. ohhhh that was too expensive. Sure some games weren't great but did anyone besides me buy Game party.... Please share my pain...
@Ren - Have you played any of those games you hate? Have you played anything from JV? or are you basing your expertise on someone else's review. ♠ @WiiCool - My niece is currently playing it, I too thought it would be like bejeweled but it really isn't. You can create and save individual players with their own score.
@Dony13 - I can understand were your coming from but with stores putting out Christmas stuff in September and every year it seems to be earlier, I think Christmas is going to be a year round thing Also saying a game for 10 bucks will get boring really isn't fair. How many 30-60 dollar games do you have laying around that isn't being played anymore.
@Sneaker13 I've downloaded Christmas Clix this morning for my niece and so far she loves it. It really has a feel good theme to it. She's only on level 10 but she's glued to the TV.
I love solitaire games when I'm waiting to get my oil changed or some place I'm just trying to burn time. I'm having a hard time seeing myself playing it on the Wii. Wow, if it comes to the US it might be one if the few Wiiware titles I'll pass on.
Good review @ stardust - Right! actually my mom is playing this and she seems to like it. Obviously she's not a big gamer I couldn't get into it at all.
Corbie, I'm totally with you. Bunch of Grinches here. I'm decorating the house today and getting in the spirit. Personally, I've liked every game they've come out with. I too am a little disappointed in the no multiplayer but it's not a big deal. There are plenty of games we take turnes on.
@Djungelurban I guess that's something but I hate it when they do that. I got totally sucked into Firefly and bam! no more shows. Sorry way off subject, just had to vent
Well I bought Incoming and I've pretty much been playing it all day. Admittedly I tend to disagree with some of the reviews here and this one is no exception. I would have given World of Goo a much higher rating I loved that game. While Incoming will never win any awards it's a pretty fun game and I feel it didn't deserve a 1, there is a lot worse (subject to opinion). I mentioned somewhere that it reminded me of Defend Your Castle, being a twitch game and all. I think it comes pretty close to that mentality. Once you get used to the controls it works well and the strategy really comes out in later levels when everything really speeds up and the computer becomes much more accurate. I somewhat agree with Chicken that the controls are a little wonky at first but I think I know why he didn't like it. If you do a shallow shot (keeping the pointer close to the front of the tank, it might go into movement mode unless you raise the pointer higher.) The trick here is to do high shots because they do more damage. I think the developer was trying to force the player away from doing those type of shallow shots, because it's so easy to to gauge and hit the opponents tank. There could have been much better explanation here instead of just having to figure it out. It took me awhile to understand why the damage was always different when you hit the tank. It was kind of weird that the first couple of starter levels seemed much harder then the middle. Once the missiles came into play, it seemed to get easier for a long time (I really like super hard games so this might just be me.). Single player - I'm currently on level 64 and it's getting tough but surprisingly i'm not sick of it. As I write i'm kind of wanting to play again but my wrist is too jacked up from playing all day (Defend your Castle did the same thing to me, I couldn't stop playing that either.) Like all things multi-player, that is the most fun for us. Unfortunately right now I have an unfair advantage over the rest of my family, ive been playing it so much. Im kicking their a$$e$$ The marathon mode is really kind of odd or dumb even. I guess I can understand it if you have 2 great players that just want to see whos the best. The most fun of course is just playing with everything turned on.
I don't think im qualified to give a score but in my opinion for 5 bucks and if you liked Defend you Castle, you'll get just as much enjoyment out of Incoming.
Doing reviews is kind of fun - Corbie is their a job opening
My family and I thought Pong Toss was great fun. We still play it from time to time. Out of shear curiosity now, im going to d/l Incoming. Not really sure if it's my type of game but I did enjoy Defend your Castle, it seems like the same kind of twitch game.

Re: Pong Toss Coming To Europe With Added Beer!
I totally agree with kritz.
I felt the review was so poorly done and in complete contrast to the excellent questions that were asked in the interview.
It's like "Everything is average" but I hate the genre, the game should have never been made, I give it a 2.
