@JRAP: You have to realize, Nintendo is not making shovelware like Hannah Montana The Movie The Video Game or Carnival Games, its other developers. Nintendo is doing great (except for maybe the Wii ____ series but they aint that bad honestly). I could say the same about the 360 talking about all the High SChool Musical and Kung Fu Panda games.

But for me, hardcore is more like somebody who uses video games as their primary hobby or way to spend free time. Hardcore is more of a person type than a game (I dont believe in hardcore games).

Core is more like you say, the popular reliable stuff that the company knows are going to sell. Core is more of a game rather than a person.

I think it really boils down to the fact that casual gamers cant keep the system afloat. They might buy the system, and maybe one or two games, tops. But hardcore gamers will buy tons and tons of new games. I think Nintendo is realizing that the ink is running out of their printer (if you've seen that picture with the "It prints money!" you'll know what Im talking about).

@thewiiirocks: I dont think that really matters, if one game could, it would have been MadWorld. I think that its gained such a rep that no amount of changing could save it from the eyes of others now.

Its like if some kid picked his nose in 2nd grade, everybody calls him a nose picker throughout high school too, even if he stopped in 4th grade.

So he is saying that good games dont sell on Wii because the Wii has less hardcore games than 360?

"Fall of Nintendo?" Seriously, they're just as good as they were back in the day, we're just getting used to their franchises. When people say "Wah, Nintendo sucks now, they're ignoring their hardcore audience!" they're acting like a child who feels like their parents dont love them anymore because they had a second child. Well Nintendo just has a second audience now, so I hope these people just shut up.

Deep story? Nintendo isnt one fore deep stories (aside from Fire Emblem), but if its half decent I wont mind.

Nintendo rarely makes a poor game (even frickin Bonsai Barber was good), so if this continues the Nintendo 1st party quality greatness, then we may see a new franchise finally.
