@Arumat just as i say. They just own the license. Doing a remake without the original developers who left to found another company would be just unrespectful.
@Arumat I don't see square touching/relaunching a title where they only own the license but not the original developers. It'd just be awkward and some kind of lack of respect to its creators...
Graphics are still a disgrace for something being released in 2022. Funny how the only part where it looks decent, it's written "not actual gameplay footage"
@marandahir That's exactly my point! When I criticize the graphics, the pokemon fandom is defending it by saying "it's because it's cartoony, you can't compare it with xenoblade". But it's actually not. It's neither cartoony nor realistic. It's just bad graphics
Speaking as an artist and pokemon fan here. I've been waiting for an open world pokemon game for years. And what the trailers show us so far is a slap in the face. The landscape makes me want to puke. People telling me it's "cartoony style" should go and watch what a cartoon looks like. Don't know why they couldn't keep something visually looking like let's go pikachu, sword/shield or even pokken trnament or pokemon unite. (stylishly speaking) I could also mention other games that use beautiful painted texture like League of Legends, or tree of saviour that look much more cartoony than this muddy trash we see here. (ye ye, it's not the same genre, I know...)
Look at those polygons on the pokemon! are we back to the ps1 era @gamefreak? Also don't tell me it's because the switch's performance can't handle better graphics, cause I can send you right to Xenoblade 1, BOTW, or Genshin that can run on a mobile phone.
I don't see any acceptable excuse for this game planned for 2022 to look that ugly.
Was really hyped by the open world thing, but then I was like, wait a minute, what the hell is this landscape. It looks worse than a ps2 game. FF12 remaster looks better than this.
@ChakraStomps Didn't say p2win is a bad thing. You just can't expect a game to reach a serious place in the competitive e-sport scene when money influences so hardly the gameplay. So when you don't play serious, you just play for "fun" (fun here in the meaning "I don't care if I lose", means "not a competitive game")
Don't know what's the strategy of tencent behind that... don't want to make concurrence with their other MOBA title LOL maybe?
I don't like how this poll is built. Even if I'd use only 1% of the time as docked mode (supposing I spend at lot of time outside and in public transport and only have a few hours playing on the tv during the weekend). That would still make the docked mode 100% legit.
The poll should be simplified to "Do you use the docked mode of the switch? Yes, No"
Not to mention the "table" mode, that I sometimes use in the train to play in co-op with my child. If you were to strictly compare to the switch lite.
So from the moment I post this comment,
93% of Nintendolifes' Switch (full version) voters DO use the docked mode.
only 3% of all voters only possess a lite.
Yeah sure, Nintendo are 'not that smart', they should sell only switch lite -__-"

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Appears To Feature English & Japanese Lip-Syncs
I just hope characters keep their japanese name if you choose japanese dubbing.
The mythra/pyra hikari/homura thing was always annoying me.
Re: Square Enix Declines To Comment On Yuji Naka's Balan Wonderworld Lawsuit
The reason why my love for this company decreased little by little to 0 since squaresoft became square enix.
Gladly we still have Monolithsoft that keeps doing amazing games

Re: Feature: Will These 10 Classic JRPGs Ever Come To Switch?
Don't think square will ever dare to remaster xenogears. The staff behind it being now Monolithsoft, they'd need some special agreements to do that.
Re: Round Up: The Pokémon Legends: Arceus Reviews Are In
pokemon company should invest more in game development instead of buying good reviews from medias

Re: Blastoise Arrives In Pokémon Unite This September
@CheekyZelda Unite is a Pokemon P2W reviving of LOL's Dominion mode if you've known that time.

Sadly Tencent killed all chances for this wannabe competitive game to be really competitive (hi p2w)
Playing a few games for fun on the switch was enough for me
