Sylveon Hype!
Sylveon is the leaked mon I was waiting for, Oh ye, saving my coins here I come.
I keep trying other Pokemon but I just constantly come back to Garchomp. Maybe one of these guys will sway me?
Sadly Tencent killed all chances for this wannabe competitive game to be really competitive (hi p2w)
Playing a few games for fun on the switch was enough for me
Hopefully it gets controller support on mobile.
Having played Unite a fair bit - it's fun and I've enjoyed it as I like MOBA stuff. If a game has a game pass model that's fine by me as long as there's new stuff added in regularly, but also appreciate Unite needs to balance the ptw out a bit. Costumes and things like that for money feel a bit predatory across a lot of the games but I think it's a better game than its getting credit for. Blasting people with Charizard and slamming people with Snorlax has been so fun
Me and my girlfriend been digging this little gem of a game.
Not digging that it is getting released for mobile. There will be crappy script clowns trying to do whatever automation for coins and not care how it affects other player's experience. It will be important to run as a full team of 5 friends soon.
Also, we both know the lax free-to-play generous vibe will go away in a year or so like most of these (we'd rather just pay for a full price game and not let a game try to squeeze money out later like Gems of War, etc) but was hoping we still had a year before it got weird. And now it seems just a month until it gets weird.
@Aruvein How is it pay to win? It really isn't hard to get a few items upgraded and play as a team and do well. Me and my girlfriend haven't spent a dime and already do well by just paying attention and playing to the end of matches. We had teammates want to vote to quit a few times while we just kept playing and carried our team to win anyway.
And if someone sits at home for 100 hours grinding coins while someone else works a weekend gig to just pay for some advancement how is that a bad thing?
You can thank the wonderful support of piracy on internet forums that has led to the shift towards 'free-to-play' games that are really 'free-to-start' since companies have to control it this way to get any money. It is sad. And you also have people using bots to grind for their coins and such and then still complain about people buying their way in.
Anyway, I wish it would just stay on the Switch instead of inviting in the android emulator script kiddies
Still haven't had any runs it with this p2w crowd and I'm in veteran ranked...but then again people just like to complain.
@ChakraStomps
Didn't say p2win is a bad thing. You just can't expect a game to reach a serious place in the competitive e-sport scene when money influences so hardly the gameplay.
So when you don't play serious, you just play for "fun" (fun here in the meaning "I don't care if I lose", means "not a competitive game")
Don't know what's the strategy of tencent behind that... don't want to make concurrence with their other MOBA title LOL maybe?
