I love sunshine, but I think this game could’ve been even better with a bit more time in the oven. So glad it’s finally on NSO. Perfect to play while the world outside is burning.
Fair. They know how to get the most out of the hardware. They helped with the Zelda games too right? Nintendo should have got them to help with pokemon scarlet and violet too.
I just got the first game for a really good price on eBay (£15 including postage, nobody else bid on it). I’ll give it a go and if I like it I’ll wait for the switch 2 version of the second one. I loved the Naruto storm games and the demon slayer anime so I hope it’s good. I hope it’s full game on cartridge and not a GKC.
I bit the bullet and bought a lexar 1tb, I like to buy physical when I can but with nearly all 3rd party games being digital or gkc I needed the space.
@ThriftyMutt I just picked up the 8bitdo arcade stick and upgraded the lever and buttons to Sanwa parts. Its excellent and I’m looking forward to using it more in SF6.
That’s a shame. Both games are pretty good. I still would’ve preferred a proper sequel to Sega all-stars or racing transformed (more Sega characters and locations). I hope Segas other revivals like crazy taxi and jet set radio are good and perform well.
I’m happy with it being a 1:1 faithful remake but I hope there are some QoL improvements like we had with OoT 3d eg iron boots and hover boots as an item rather than having to pause to equip, motion control aiming, right stick camera control, orchestral OST.
I like it a lot but I’m reluctant to say I love it yet. No game has blown me away yet but I’m still putting a lot of time into it, mostly indie and retro games. Looking forward to Star Fox and the rumoured OOT remake.
I'd be most interested to see a control scheme that lets you control the arwing with the left joy con and aim with the right joy con in mouse mode. Being able to aim independently from movement would be a fun way to play, a bit like kid Icarus Uprising.
Glad to hear its had an improvement, the lag was definitely noticeable if you're used to the gamecube version. That said I still 100% it and still had a great time with it.
Strange, I suffer from Vertigo and get really bad travel sickness but have had no issues with DK. Choppy framerates and fast paced FPS are usually triggers for me.
I've platinumed it on PS5 and still having a great time with it but I wouldn't double dip on switch 2. Half of the games selling point is how good it looks and performs and it would just be a gimped version. I'd like to maybe see some decent ports of Origins and Odyssey though.
I could understand a game like Overwatch being unplayable after servers shut down, but when games like The Crew get shut down it makes absolutely zero sense because its a single player game as well as multiplayer. Many people, like myself played that game only in single player and never touched multiplayer and then lose access to a game that we paid for. It should be illegal. Hopefully the EU can save us from this BS.
@Kilroy If you mean that you ordered the bigger savage raven case unfortunately you cant fit the pro controller in (I already tried). No chance of getting the dock in there either. You could definitely get a few extra joy cons in or something like the 8bitdo SN30 Pro (snes size/shape) though.
I got the bundle with the larger savage raven case and replaceable grips. It is amazing how much more comfortable the switch is in handheld with the grip and the case has slots for 12 cartridges + loads of extra space for other bits and bobs. I highly recommend unless you want something with a much lower profile like this one.
Wasn't planning to preorder it but I got an eshop voucher for xmas so I put towards 2 game vouchers. One for Donkey Kong and one for Xenoblade Chronicles X.
Played through the entire game over the weekend and loved it. There’s definitely direct inspiration from Mario games especially galaxy games but that’s not a bad thing as those games are incredible. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Re: Everspace 2: Galactic Edition Gets A Surprise Switch 2 Shadow Drop
Shame it’s 30fps but it looks like a cool game. Maybe a pickup for me if it’s on sale, or hopefully a physical release.
Re: The Lord Of The Rings: War In The North Shadow-Drops On Switch 1 & 2
This game was a lot of fun to play co-op.

Re: Octopath Traveler 1 & 2 Announced For Switch 2 With Improved Performance And Visuals
I assume it’ll just be a 1080p 60fps upgrade, definitely not worth paying again. Should be free.

I replayed it last year 100% so I’ll just wait for the remake.
