Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom (Switch)
£7.99 (-84%)
Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is an excellent action-RPG that's arrived on Switch in a fantastic, feature-packed port. Evan and Roland's antics across this game's sprawling world are stuffed full of great characters, exciting combat and adventuring, and a kingdom-building mechanic that's a delight to get to grips with.
It looks and sounds every bit as good as its predecessor and, although the story might be a little more hit-and-miss here, we were completely hooked into this one from beginning to end. This is a sumptuously crafted adventure you won't regret diving into.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (Switch)
£37.49 (-25%)
For years, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door has been held as the best Mario RPG of all time, and the Switch remake proves it has earned that title.
This is a fantastic RPG adventure, whether you’re a Mario fan or not, with some best-in-class combat and brilliant writing. A fresh new localisation, beautifully enhanced visuals, and new quality-of-life features help iron out a few little creases to make this the definitive way to play a GameCube classic.
Persona 5 Royal (Switch)
£19.24 (-65%)
Persona 5 Royal is the very definition of ‘required reading' for JRPG fans.
A deep and moving story, stylish presentation, amazing soundtrack, and decision-driven gameplay all combine to make for an unforgettable and exceptional experience that proves itself to be every bit deserving of the hype and praise it’s already received.
While those who have played this elsewhere may want to consider whether Switch's portability is enough to justify a full-price double dip, it suits the system perfectly. Persona 5 Royal easily stands as one of the very best RPGs of the last decade and you’d be doing yourself a disservice to miss out.

Persona 5 Tactica: Digital Deluxe Edition
£20.99 (-75%)
Persona 5 Tactica is a thrillingly varied tactical RPG that fans of the Phantom Thieves and the genre should take note of. It's a little on the easy side, but the varied gameplay, excellent soundtrack, striking visuals, and lovable characters all make for a very easy recommendation.
We’d especially suggest you pick this up if you really enjoyed Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, as we noticed a lot of parallels. It remains to be seen if this is the last time we’ll be seeing the Phantom Thieves don their masks, but if this does turn out to be their finale, Persona 5 Tactica is a massively enjoyable sendoff for the beloved crew, with a ton of DLC to boot.
River City Girls (Switch eShop)
£9.44 (-65%)
River City Girls is an incredibly entertaining and satisfying beat ‘em up. Whether you’re playing alone or teaming up with a friend in co-op mode, the game is a visually superb, aurally fantastic, out-and-out love letter to the genre.
Fans of River City Ransom and other Kunio-kun games will adore how it respects the past but makes it relevant today, while those new to the series will simply find a hugely enjoyable and infectiously cheerful scrapper.
SEGA AGES Out Run (Switch eShop)
£1.79 (-70%)
If you originally missed out on the 3DS port, this is about as essential a retro release as you can get. Out Run has always been an infinitely playable game, and the new unlockables and online rankings only increase its longevity further.
Those with the 3DS version will have to decide whether it’s worth buying what’s more or less the same game again in order to play it on their TV, but for everyone else with an interest in retro gaming, it’s a must-have.
Shantae and the Pirate's Curse (Switch eShop)
£7.29 (-50%)
If you haven’t gotten around to it by now, the Switch version is certainly the best way to play Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse. Tight gameplay, detailed visuals, and charming writing combine to make this a Metroidvania that is a must-play for any fans of this genre or the series.
This gets a strong recommendation to anybody who hasn’t played it yet and we would still encourage veterans to consider double dipping. Though there’s nothing groundbreaking about this re-release, it’s the same great game that it was and the few minor additions are a nice bonus.
Shantae: Half-Genie Hero Ultimate Edition
£10.94 (-50%)
Shantae: Half-Genie Hero has never been better than on Switch; the enhanced versatility of the console lends the game a new sort of appeal and convenience that wasn’t there before. This is a charming, colourful, and sometimes challenging Metroidvania that will no doubt prove to be a memorable addition to your collection.
While it could be a little longer, we would give this one a strong recommendation to anyone who hasn’t yet picked it up for any other platform. For those of you who have, know that you’re essentially just paying for the ability to play this on the go, but that’s still arguably worth the asking price. Either way, this is one of the most polished Shantae games.
Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance Digital Deluxe Edition
£23.99 (-60%)
Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is a stellar example of an enhanced re-release done right - which is fortunate, as the original version was delisted when this launched.
Vengeance's comprehensive approach to improving the story and various gameplay systems of the original release makes for an experience that’s even more engrossing. Though we were disappointed by the lack of any performance gains here, Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is still an extremely easy recommendation for any RPG fans.
Some may consider SMT to be “Persona without the heart,” but SMT V: Vengeance cleanly demonstrates that this old Atlus stalwart still has an abundance of fantastic gameplay and unique appeal. A wonderful game.
Sonic X Shadow Generations Digital Deluxe Edition
£27.49 (-50%)
Note. The Switch 2 version is also discounted for the exact same price. It's the same great game with a minor bump to the visuals, so if you've got a Switch 2 and don't own the older version, that's the one to get. We absolutely wouldn't recommend double-dipping unless you're desperate and have money to burn, though!
Are you picking up any of the above games on sale? Did we miss any NL 9/10s or above? Let us know in the comments.

I see the Castlevania collections are in this list. ... that's my cue to tell everyone to check out the Castlevania collections! Especially Dominus Collection. They're suuuuper good.
God this year is going by too fast I can't catch up, it still feels like October...
Prime 4 is eating up Black Friday for me this year … I'll sit this one out.
Can't recommend Echoes of Wisdom enough though, especially with the free Upgrade on Switch 2. But this should be old news on this site …
As usual should check when I can which games among these interest me and aren't already in my Deku Deals wishlist if I don't already have them - anyway, happy for my fellow Europeans going for any of these (and/or others games not mentioned here of course) thanks to this sale!
I see Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2, I recommend it right away. Tons and hours of fun!
Yesssss!! I've got a lot of free time till Christmas and was waiting for a Yakuza 0 sale!!! Never played one,. I'm probably in for a treat! 🥰
I can't recommend Unicorn Overlord enough! What a great game. For me it was GOTY when it released. What a combat system!
@iLikeUrAttitude October? According to my to do list of work I’m still in May!
How come Sonic Cross Worlds is missing from the list? £48.99 for the digital deluxe version is pretty good and the Switch 2 version will be a 9
@Nintendontyouknow Cuz they rated it a 7, not the 9/10 this list requires.
No wayyyy I literally JUST bought Split Fiction lmao. Tbh tho the fun that my partner and I will have is well worth the full price of admission so I'll concede.
Shoutout to Mechstermination Force, which is on sale for €1 and is a super fun boss rush game where you take down giant mechs. It even has co-op.
I keep reading Switch 1 & 2 as 1-2 Switch. Never even played the game or even know that much about it, yet it keeps happening.
Alternate header '46 Switch (Family, Duo, Siblings) Games You Should Check out.....'
I presume the change will be made immediately just to cater to my whims
I might finally pick up Castlevania Advance Collection and Contra Collection as would be lovely to have them on the Switch as well. I did pick up the Castlevania Anniversary a few months back and the games look beautiful on the OLED and have since been my preferred way to play.
@DennyCrane You should, they're both amazing collections!
@canaryfarmer Been meaning to for ages, but since I have all the games anyway (bar the arcade Contras, but I always preferred the console versions anyhow) I simply haven't done so yet. But after seeing how Anniversary looked on the OLED I have been waiting for a good sale as it got me pumped to have them on the Switch.
So looking forward to seeing Circle of the Moon on that screen, being that it is my favourite of the Metroidvanias. Blends the classic and modern beautifully and I always thought it a real shame that the team never got another shot, I honestly think we would have seen something truly special.
Still waiting on Nintendo to put Famicom Detective Club on sale in the UK (or even better give us a physical release). I think they have forgotten the game exists.
Hopefully the U.S. Sales will be at least as good as these. Have been waiting for Three Hopes and Xenoblade 3 for a long while.
@Pillowpants I absolutely second that! In fact, I fully completed Unicorn Overlord at launch on PS5 and I'm still always tempted to double-dip just to support Vanilla Ware.
Did anyone really say that Shin Megami Tensei is Persona without heart???
The Talos Principle
If you never played it before and aren’t afraid of an intellectual discussion, play it now. It’s great and really cheap now.
100% recommend Unicorn Overlord, amazing. Feels like what modern FE should have become. Don't let the real-time strategy aspect scare you, the game has an amazing learning curve and everything you need to progress by yourself. Top tier OST as well
A mainline Zelda game on sale is definitely a good surprise. Nekos of Wisdom was on my backlog for a whole year.
I’ve had my Switch 2 since launch day and I still haven’t managed to bag a Nintendo game for £33.29. This price seems mystical to me.
All I really want now is Super Mario Odyssey and New Pokémon Snap but I can’t bring myself to pay £49.99 for a digital copy of each especially when they could go on offer any day. I do have the Deku deals app on my phone and iPad so I am ready to pounce.
The thing is the 2 for £84 Vouchers are only available until the end of January 2026 and they won’t be available. I know I still have a year to use them, but I’d rather finally managed to bag a Nintendo game for £33.29.
@Strumpan It's a quote from IGN's review of the original SMT V
@snil4 Ah, thank you!
Has the Black Friday sale started for NA or is there still one left? Does anyone know?
I'm just here to say that it hasn't begun in NA yet, perhaps starting tomorrow? But this gives me hope for a lot of games having a hard sale real soon. I don't know if my wallet is ready, but I am 😂
Split fiction to play with my girls, then it’s a backlog consideration / ability to resist the urge for tony hawk 1+2 and elder scrolls
I'm 80+ hours in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, and I must say that I'm completely blown away by the quality of the side content. The production value for these secondary quest are unlike anything I've seen in an RPG, it literally feels like I'm continuing the main game with new characters to unlock, gameplay systems, voice acted cute scenes and dialogs. It's a massive step up over Xenoblade Chronicles X and 2 in that regard. Monolith really, I'm not sure if I'll 100% it, but so far, I'm still super excited about playing and doing stuff. I just wish I had more free time.
If you're tempted by the game at this 30€ deal, don't. It's a real masterpiece of an RPG.
You should check out Mother Russia Bleeds & BroForce, which are only £1.79 each.
@Madao I forsee discount on vouchers in the New Year’s sale, as January will be the last month for vouchers. Then I’ll grab FDC.
Bought both castlevania collections physically recently. Given how much storage these games occupy I should have gone digital and saved a lot of money. Oooof....
