Galaxy2

We've been treated to some incredible gaming experiences over the last ten years. In our eyes, Nintendo has produced some of its finest titles throughout this last decade, and those of us who dabble in gaming on the likes of PlayStation and Xbox have had plenty to share about, too.

The list below shows the top 50 games of the decade, sorted by their average review score according to aggregate site, Metacritic. To qualify for the list, a game must have been reviewed by at least 15 critics (Metacritic says that it only gathers reviews from “the world’s most respected critics"), and for any game which was released on multiple platforms, only the version with the most reviews has been included.

So, let's take a look. As you can see, Nintendo has managed to snag both first and second places with Super Mario Galaxy 2 and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. There are plenty more to be found throughout the list, too:

Before you ask, Metacritic hasn't explained how Super Mario Galaxy 2 - with a score of 97 - has been placed above Zelda - which also has a score of 97. We can only assume that the scores above are rounded up and down from rather less flattering numbers (you can see how Metacritic generates its scores here).
