Playing Pokémon GO can be an addictive way to pass the time, and a great way of getting some much-needed exercise while having a bit of fun, but we've never seen anyone play the game quite like this.
Chen San Yuan, a 70-year-old man living in Taiwan, has adopted a rather elegant way of playing the mobile phenomenon, no doubt attracting just as many people passing by as interactive monsters. This crazy custom contraption holds eleven smartphones, allowing him to ride around his hometown on his bike, keeping an eye on almost a dozen different screens at the same time.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, this setup has caught the eye of the local media. Chen San Yuan says that by using this number of smartphones, he’s able to take down a rival gym without the need of any help from other players. A power supply is also attached to the bike, giving his phones a 20-hour run time while playing.
He's also mentioned that he wants to improve upon his current masterpiece, bringing his total smartphone count to fifteen in the future. Local residents have reportedly called him "shifu" (meaning master) and even a god.
While we admire his dedication, we must advise you to stay clear of attempting something at home for fairly obvious safety reasons. Let us know your thoughts on this in the comments below.

So are they all linked to the same account?
That's dedication
In other news, man dies in freak accident with 11 cell phone strapped to his handlebars... More at 10 p. M..
I'm guessing this man is newly divorced That is serious dedication.
Now that's called a Maniac !
So dangerous, as if motorists don't have enough things to be annoyed at cyclists for
Retirement goals right there.
Using multiple accounts is a violation of Niantic's ToS, so publicizing this particular player's activity will probably find those accounts suspended.
This guy has the guy I saw in Kyoto last week beat. I was pretty shocked when I saw a guy with a 3 tablets and a phone.
I myself sometimes use my friend's account on community days because she often has to work on them. She does the same for me on occasion.
"we must advise you to stay clear of attempting something at home"
This can't be attempted at home. Unless you live in a gym.
Whelp. I expect he'll be "head over heels" for Go soon.
Hero.
I hope I'm still that young at heart if I make it to his age, I think it's awesome.
He should switch to using iPhone SEs, they're powerful enough to run the game but smaller than most phones so he can fit at least four more phones on there.
@Romeo-75 2 of my grandparents have kept up with gaming. Not hardcore, but they have had nes, n64, 2x ds, ps2, pc, and now they each have a tablet for games. I was surprised the last time I saw them, they had their ds on the kitchen table and had been playing mario.
I used to tell my wife that I could see myself giving up gaming as I got older, but then I find myself standing in line day 1 to get a switch, which we now have 3 of for myself and 2 of the boys.
@Heavyarms55
Hm....
Maybe next time, i will go out with FOUR 3DS machines (2 USA version, 1 Japan version, 1 Europe version) inside my bag on next year according to my plan.
I'm disappointed there is a battery with a 20 hour limit, I assumed he'd have his bike rigged up to generate enough power from pedaling. ☺
Isn't Taiwan one of those places where motorist upon hitting someone run them over again to ensure they're dead? Not the kind of place I'd experiment with phone/bike setup if you ask me...
@Donutman, LoL I said I was gonna take a little break from gaming when the Switch was announced and behold I also was standing in line day one to pick up my preordered Nintendo Switch and my mother in law and father in law just purchased two 3DS'S so they can play Animal Crossing together.
So only in Japan can you do that and nobody rob you. also i wish my 71 year old father was this tech savvy.
Old people out and about playing cute Pokemon, young children stay indoor to slaughter each other in Fortnite.
kids, gotta catch em all
Theres only 9 phones
Props to this guy, though I'm unsure if that approach is "fair". XD I know some people that are younger than him who won't even touch a computer or smart phone.
I can't even. Hell, he can even battle himself with the PvP update.
@FragRed it's not dedication, he's a looser, a sad one no doubt.
@ImagineerNik they have to been all different accounts. You can only have an account active on one device at any one time.
Idiots driving, walking or biking looking at one cell phone is bad enough. This is terrible.
This cats a straight Pokemon OG. Damn, he will smash your whole gym with no help.
@ReaderRagfish Not likely. Smart phones are like grains of rice in Taiwan and China. People stuff pillows with them there are so many.
@Ryu_Niiyama Taiwan.
Nothing about this is a good idea
>distracted bicycle riding could lead to accident
>old man means reaction times are slower
>Prime target for theft
>spending way too much money on service for the phones
>breaking the game's rules, will likely be banned
RIP in pepperonis old man, it is only a matter of time.
People playing this game with multiple accounts really bothers me.
So yeah, he's effectively multi-accounting and contravening PoGo's ToS! Hope the ban hammer fall on this freak of nature, he really should Go get a life.
So this 70-year-old man can work at least 9 smartphones at once and get some exercise, while my 70-year-old dad refuse to learn any smart devices and sits & watch court shows and msnbc all day. Well my mind is blown.
Honestly, I hope someone stops this man.
Um..... there's only 9 in the picture
8646 9459 4238 Add me. I’ll send gifts
Lol, only in Asia!
@Bunkerneath
"Motorists" dont own the damn road. People on bikes or any other transportation vehicle have just as much right as anyone with a car. You are an entitled baby and should live in a shack in the woods if people on bikes bother you. People with cars aren't the only ones who pay taxes to build the roads. Lastly in that part of the world and most of the eastern world more people ride bikes than cars so one more old dude on a bike isnt going to matter. Quit acting so entitled and learn who pays for roads and who rides what in what part of the world. You're like a 16 year kid who just started driving or something.
If this dude wants to spend his last whatever many years playing pokemon go with a bunch of phones on a bike then good for him. Im not so pathetic as to care what other human being on this planet do. Worry about yourselves more and the world will be better off. Who are you people to judge anyone.
@Aeoviel why did you wait 2 months to put this? But it is very dangerous, it’s illegal to be on your phone whilest driving and to be fair I think people on bikes should be the same. It is stupid
