So long and thanks for all the fish

One of Nintendo of America's most recognisable faces is leaving the company after 13 years.

Erik Peterson has been a regular fixture in many of Nintendo's Direct broadcasts and Treehouse livestreams. A spell at Nintendo Power magazine back in 2003 opened the door for him to join Nintendo as a Localisation Writer and Editor before moving up to the position of Localisation Producer, a role he held until 2012. According to his Linkedin profile, his current position is Senior Manager, Product Marketing.

Peterson announced the news via his Twitter account:

So long, Erik. Those Nintendo Direct broadcasts won't be the same without you.
