If you are going to make the point that it's a children's game and children shouldn't have to deal with that then don't have the option of this kind of relationship in the first place even for opposite sex people. Children don't have to worry about marriage in any form if it's just about playing the game.

I'm not surprised it's being "fixed". Like I said I obviously can't base my opinion on games solely on these things because I'd have nothing to play. I love Fire Emblem: Awakening and I would've loved if the pairings could've been same-sex but the lack of it didn't stop me from putting over 100 hours into it.

Arcamenel commented on Nintendo Has A Sense Of Humour About Poor 3DS ...:

I generally don't play with 3D on or the wireless turned on, so that helps with the battery life. I also play it in power saver mode with brightness at 3 which is generally a perfect brightness for me in a lot of areas. I don't see the battery life as a problem unless you have all this stuff turned up and are playing for 3+ hours.

As a gay man I'd love for this to come stateside and for the patch to be inclusive of women-women relationships and not take out the man-man ones. However I don't base my games off just that because then I'd have pretty much nothing to play. I don't know much about the game but if it's something I'd be into I'll buy it regardless.

The game is rated T, I don't really see the problem with the original pictures for the intended demographic. It's weird they allowed the picture with Cordelia considering it's far more suggestive to me than Tharja's but even so the game is rated T. There is nothing here you don't see at the beach or the city pool.

I'm using the 4GB one that came with my Pikachu 3DS XL. I don't download anything since I'd rather have the physical copy. That was before I got into the Monster Hunter series though. I think in the future I will download that just because I know I'm going to spend a lot of time playing it. Closing in on 200 hours atm O_O

Arcamenel commented on New 3DS Nintendo Direct to Broadcast on 17th A...:

I'm with those who think the real Wii U announcements will be made at E3 considering how Wii U centric their 2012 E3 presentation was. I also doubt what this NIntendo Direct will give us will be anything really major since all the big titles are already known about. If anything, maybe a Miiverse mention but I think since this is just NA and EU, that's not likely. I'm pretty sure they'd give JP that info first if not at the same time as NA and EU.

Arcamenel commented on CoroCoro Confirms New Mewtwo Form:

I don't understand what everyone is overreacting for! It's a new form so that means if you really dislike it JUST DON'T CHANGE Mewtwo's form! Seriously if it was up to some of you we'd still be using the same sprites from the original red and blue. Genwunners are the worst part of the Pokemon fandom.

Arcamenel commented on Hardware Review: 3DS Circle Pad Pro XL:

I'm thinking of getting this for my Pikachu 3DS XL. The reason being, while I do manage fine playing MH3U on my 3DS without one, underwater battles are quite a pain. I feel like the battle with the Lagiacrus and Ludroth took entirely too long underwater simply because turning around in the water is a huge pain.

Also I don't see why anyone expected the XL to have a second circle pad when the original didn't. There were already 10 million 3DS units sold when the XL came around, adding on a new circle pad would've alienated early adopters and confuse developers. There aren't enough games that need a second circle pad to even justify adding one anyway.

OMG YES THANK YOU! Multi-delete of notes was needed ages ago. When I was clearing out my notes on my old ambassador 3DS to sell it on ebay, I had to delete 299 notes one-by-one. Literally took half an hour because I had to confirm each delete and then the little wait in between deleting.

I've been playing Pokemon since I was 9 and I'm 23 now. I'm in it for the long haul obviously so of course I'm excited for X and Y. The 3DS offers so many possibilities for the franchise, I'm especially interested to know how they'll utilize the streetpass and spotpass features.

Arcamenel commented on New Mewtwo Form Revealed For Pokémon X & Y:

I'm thinking this isn't a Mewtwo form and is actually a brand new Pokemon with some kind of link to Mewtwo. The way the Pokemon.com site and facebook page keeps alluding to the fact that it looks like Mewtwo but calling it a new Pokemon, makes me think it's not a new form. I'm going to say possibly a Mewtwo clone. Yes a clone of a clone lol

The demo definitely doesn't give a very good impression of the overall game. Although as someone whose completely new to the franchise, the demo held enough interest for me to actually buy a copy and I don't regret it at all. It's pretty much all I've been doing for my spring break.

Arcamenel commented on Nintendo of France: Games Will Improve Wii U S...:

I got a launch day 3DS. I paid about $200 after I traded in my old lite. At the time I felt the price was justified because there were so many games that I knew of that were announced for it. I also thought the next main series Pokemon game would be on it. Even after the price cut I still felt my purchase justified, that was until it became apparent that all those games I heard of were nowhere near close to launching. It wasn't the price that had me regretting my purchase, it was the fact that I paid so much and had nothing to play. I never played any of the ambassador games so that wasn't really fair compensation to me personally but whatever. Now I have a new XL and I don't go a day without playing something on it because there is so much to choose from. For me it's definitely games that make a purchase worthwhile. I don't think the Wii U needs a price cut, just needs games like now.

Also the "I own every iteration of the DS" is a pretty poor defense if you ask me. I liken it to racist who try to downplay their racism by saying they have minority friends. If he had just gone after the controls for the 3DS version I'd be totally understandable but he attacked the main appeal of the DS line and that's the dual screens.

Look, this is the kind of thing I have to point out all the time when politicians put their foot in their mouths. Of course you can have an opinion. No one is disputing his right to his opinion. However when you put your opinion out there, especially on a public forum like Twitter, you better be able to deal with the backlash. In the future he might not want to tweet things when he's obviously in a bad mood, or you know just keep his opinion to himself.

I'm so sick and tired of people moaning about others attacking them for their opinion. You have every right to your opinion, but that doesn't mean other people don't have a right to express their opinion about your opinion.

I'm going to take a few more whacks at the demo before I make any definite decisions on this. The lack of online isn't much of a deterrence as long as the single player isn't shallow.

Arcamenel commented on Feature: Series Reboots That Have Divided Gamers:

Yeah I'll never understand the Kid Icarus control complaints. It has a learning curve sure but after a few hours it's very fluent. I think some people get so upset because it's a REALLY good game that a lot of people just disregard because they can't or won't even attempt to either find a control setting that works for them or even take the time to get use to the default controls. I would've loved to see it sell as well any mario game but oh well.

Yeah I used to be a "Digimon is a Pokemon rip-off" guy then I actually started watching the show and playing some of the games. They are nothing alike and while Pokemon > Digimon as far as games go, Digimon anime is far superior to the Pokemon anime.

Okay I really have to know. Are smartphone and tablets really a big competitor? I mean I had one game on my smartphone that I played once every few months or so if my 3DS wasn't readily available. I just don't think they can hold a candle to a real console experience.
