As this is the year of Sonic's 25th anniversary, many are expecting big things out of SEGA for the celebration. While nothing has been confirmed yet, Crush 40 potentially spilled the beans on another Sonic anniversary game being released, though what exactly this means still remains a mystery since the post was deleted. Adding more fuel to the fire, a new post recently showed up that could be teasing an impending announcement.
The Sonic the Hedgehog Facebook page recently shared a photo of the Game Grumps guys holding a Big the Cat plush toy, but it's the bottom of the image that's been getting the most attention. A series of numbers are spaced out just along the lower edge, with some speculating that some sort of announcement is on its way on a near future date.

Didn't think to see those two lovely faces here of all places. And here I thought Arin hated Big.
But aside from those two, these numbers just have to mean something. There's no question about it. 4 3 1 21 16? D C A U P? Makes no sense. But how about a Big the Cat fishing game just to see Arin suffer xD
Arin hates Sonic. Why would they choose him to promote a Sonic game? He even hates Sonic 3 and Knuckles, and everyone likes that game.
Maybe the numbers correspond with the year that certain games came out

My interpretation is that the new Sonic game comes out or gets announced at March 21, 2016, (3,21,16) for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One (4,1)
I think there are two dates, April Fools and March 21st. Maybe the numbers don't mean anything, but I'm sure expecting something on the 21st at least.
Obviously it's being announced in March 2016 and the other numbers refer to the PS4, the XB1, and the Nintendo 21, the official name of the NX

@BlueNitrous Whoever runs the Sonic social media sites is hilarious. They post anything from making fun of their product (Sonic games) to embracing memes. On twitter the Sonic page sometimes mentions game grumps when they are playing a Sonic game.
Basically they know he hates it and they are okay with it since they are really flexible.
Kinda reminds me of the ol' cheat codes you did in the sound testing area in the options >> meaning the use of random numbers. But .. it's most likely a date since there's a 16 in it

Important to note that Sonic considers Big the Cat dead like Nack/Fang the Weasel, Mighty the Armadillo and Ray the Squirrel. Voice Actor for Big was told he was no longer needed and he hasn't been replaced since. Last he was seen was Colors DS and was supposed to appear in Generations but was cut.

They promoted the Grumps' playthrough of Sonic Boom instead of promoting Sonic Boom itself because it sucked so bad.

The combination of Game Grumps, the channel that officially dislikes Sonic, and the recurring appearance of Big, who few people like, is confusing.
I'm guessing that on April 1st, three games will be announced. One will prominently feature Big, possibly a digital fishing game. A main series platformer is also obvious. I doubt it would feature Big very much. There may also be something Boom-related, or maybe a compilation with16/21 games.

I hated S3&K and prefer Sonic 4 over it. When I was a kid, I sucked at S1&2 and thought S3&K was going to be harder than that. I was wrong. It was so easy that I beat the game AND accumulated the chaos emeralds in a few hours. And I Still have troubles beating Sonic 1 and 2 today.
I also want a Sonic 4 episode 3 as I adored Sonic 4:EP1&2.

This definitely sounds like a red herring. The pic shows the Game Grumps, who aren't exactly the biggest Sonic fans, holding a Big plushie, a character that both they and most of the fanbase hates. Plus the numbers seem to hint towards April Fools. I wouldn't make much of this.

So 15 is fifteen years after Sonic Adventure 2
25 is the twenty fifth anniversary
3 is for Sonic Adventure 3
Some things are more worthy of milestone/anniversary celebrations than others. Sonic the Hedgehog was once perhaps the hottest property in videogames...while the franchise was on the Genesis. He was pretty much nonexistent on the Saturn (due to Sega's stupid insistence of wanting to put him in a 3D world to compete with Super Mario 64), and the Sonic Adventure games, while popular with some players, began a sad parade of mediocrity and annually phoned-in cash grabs and an ever-expanding roster of instantly forgettable side characters, especially after the company left console making. Things improved with Sonic 4 Pts. 1 and 2 and Generations, but the damage had been done to both the IP and Sega's rep with gamers by that point. So let's be clear here: Sega "celebrating" Sonic is like some washed-up 50-ish guy in a bar loudly boasting about his "glory days" to anyone who'll listen...days that are long gone and due to his own stupid mistakes. Sonic gave Sega maybe five truly great years; the rest has been so tarnished by mishandling that there frankly isn't much to celebrate.
What I'd personally find TRULY worth celebrating would be a direct collaboration by Sega with Nintendo in supporting the NX as a first party developer, bringing ALL the beloved properties gamers have been pleading for but haven't seen in years or decades. That's the ONLY way that Sega will ever regain the place it once had in the industry; for now though they're a cautionary tale of a company that once had the entire hobby eating out of its hand but lost it because of people at the top who only saw profit/loss margins and "didn't get videogames". News flash, guys: the investors you SHOULD be worried about are GAMERS; make products THEY want to buy and the OTHER investors (the stockholders) will follow suit.

I don't know if Arin legitimately hates Sonic, he gets very critical about things that he loves and with such passion he finds a lot to pick on that wasn't up to par - such as just about every 3D Sonic game. Sonic 06' was the Game Grumps equivalent to an Ed Wood film. Also, he is just trying to be 'on' and 'funny' when on camera so how he really feels could be a completely different story.
Or maybe the idea is Sega is stating that they will make a Sonic game that is so good, even Arin from Game Grumps will love it.

As much as I would like a Sonic Adventure HD remaster / remake.
Speaking of remakes, anyone with a PS4 or XB1 considering FF Type 0 HD.. Stop. AI, music, animations, textures, controls, levelling, combat, loading times, even voice acting. It is honestly the worst FF game ever made. It is terrible. It's a game that makes me wish for a day when remasters / remakes are banned from being made. One of the 5 worst games I've ever played. Worse than that Aliens game that skipped the Wii U. Worse than Duke Nukem Forever. Worse than RCMadiax could ever create. Worse because it spits on FF while posing as a 'good' game. It's the kind of game that made me weep for Yoshitaka Amano, just having his art associated with it..
Even a worse Sonic Boom would be better. Black Knight 2 would be better. Werehogs in a top down RPG with no storyline would be better.

This is just a hoax. Please don't read too much in to this to have your hopes dashed. I'm still waiting on Phantasy Star to come west after it was announced years ago.
My guess? Sonic Boom: Fire and Ice on March 21st and April 1st for either an announcement or the release of an anniversary title across platforms for this year. The alternating bolded numbers suggest as such to me, but I can't say I really care all that much. I am by no means a Sonic fan these days, and really only hope that SEGA doesn't embarrass themselves this time.
Sonic Adventure 3 or bust, Sega. Maybe Super Monkey Ball U or Golden Axe that beats God of War, Skylanders, etc...
@MarioPhD Don't worry. I don't think the next sonic game will be as embarrassing as Mario Tennis Super Smash or Amiibo Festival.
looks like to me that the 4, 1, and 16 are a little bolder font than the 3 and 21. Maybe meaning april 1, 2016 and the 3 and 21 being something else.
