Year Walk is a particularly promising upcoming release on the Wii U. It's an intriguing narrative-driven title with elements of puzzle-solving, horror and surrealism, and is based on a forgotten Swedish tradition.
Having been a success on PC and iOS, particularly, it's now close to its arrival on Nintendo's home console - it'll be released on 17th September, and that date applies to North America, Europe and Australia.
Developed by Simogo, this Wii U version has seen the studio team up with Dakko Dakko to make full use of the system and its GamePad. As Simon Flesser and Rhodri Broadbent explained to us in a recent interview, the controller's gyro sensor will be utilised and "all puzzles have been reworked for Wii U".
Are you excited about this one?

This does look very good. I'm very excited for it.
Dakko Dakko + creepy horror legend? Day 1.
I am very excited for this!
Not sure about this from looking at the trailer, will check out the review when it's released.
Dakko Dakko here is my money.

At this point, I'd get this just to support a developer who is obviously going the extra mile to support the Wii U with a port of this quality and care.
How much $$$ ?
Looking forward to it.
I'm quite intrigued. It should be a nice distraction from all the Mario Maker sessions I'll undoubtedly be having at the time.
I'll buy this again.
Just in time for my 30th birthday! Gosh, I'm so old!
Did they skip the other consoles in favor of the Wii U?
So happy.
@wazlon Its been out on other platforms for a long time with near perfect reviews from everyone, and Simogo chose to make the definitive version hand tailored to our console.
I'm saying it now, shame on anyone who spoils this for themselves with lets plays or whatever. I gave in and bought it on PC a few months back when it was still just rumored for WiiU, and I really wish I had held out a bit longer or forgotten about it, but I can't wait to buy it again. A lovely, creepy...mysterious game.
Anyone have an idea on what the price will be? definitely will be looking to support this title.
I'm very curious on how this transfers over ot the Wii U, and how they are going to handle the "second story" (which I think makes the game a must have).
Definitely grabbing this one, and getting ready to be creeped out again.
Interesting, hadn't heard about this one until now, looks like my sort of game
@Zetro Cool, think I'll get it then
